Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 12 - Little Blue Button Stamps

It's Friday so its time for a new Colour Crazy challenge!  The theme as always is

Anything Goes

We are sponsored by Little Blue Button Stamps and I've used Coffee Love and coloured her with Promarkers.  The papers are from Funky Hand Now That's Funky cd and are no longer available.  The buttons are from my stash.

I've cut the Hello sentiment die (Polkadoodles) with offcuts of card from my stash to match the colours in the papers.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Daring Card Makers - Elemental Inspiration

I did a stint at the start of last year as a Guest Designer for Daring Card Makers which I loved so imagine how long it took me to reply when I was asked if I'd like to join the team permanently?!  Not that long, I can tell you!

This is my first 'full time' challenge and as its the first Friday challenge of the month, its an inspiration challenge and the requirement is to use at least three elements from the photo:

I've used papers that I found in my stash when having a clear out and a tidy up over Christmas - they are from the now not available Funky Hand - Now That's Funky cd - Coffee With Pals collection.  I only had small pieces of the printed sheets so had to be creative with what I had!

I've used handles from a Primark bag plus coloured offcuts of card with Promarkers so the die cut flowers would match the colour pallet.  The charm is from my stash along with the half white pearls and I've used a Cuttlebug die for the lettering.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Creative Knockouts:  Anything Goes
Moving Along With The Times:  Flowers
Seize The Birthday:  Birthday
Double D Challenges:  Birthday
Simon Says Wednesday:  Patterned Paper

Coffee and Aqua

I'ts been a really, really long time since I joined in with a challenge from Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  I had some papers on the table that I really liked the look of - Coffee With Pals from Now That's Funky cd from Funky Hand (its only £1!!) so I coloured the Tiddly Inks image - Anna Belle Birthday Wishes with a combination of Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

I've layered the papers onto some chocolate brown card I had in my stash plus used a little charm, embroidery thread and organza ribbon to finish it off.  The number 6 is a Sizzix die cut and I've coloured it with Promarkers to match the theme and then added lots of glitter glue.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday:  Sketch followed (rotated)
Tiddly Inks:  Anything Goes (with a Tiddly Inks image)
Crafty Friends:  Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge:  Anything Goes

Pom Poms and Pillow Boxes

For something a little different - Pom Poms and Pillow Boxes!  I've made a pillow box with papers from Now That's Funky - Funky Diva papers and for the first time ever, I got the scores in the right place and the ends simply snapped shut!

I've added a little opener as well to each side by using a little circle die cut - you just can't see it on the photo.  And for added glam I made some pom poms - not made these since I was a kid and was great fun - the boys were in awe!

Made the pom pom templates with off cuts of card, used my Nesties and then wound the wool and embroidery thread around them.  The wool was a perfect match - £1 for a big ball in the poundshop!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

ATW Challenge:  Anything Goes
Scrappers Delights:  Anything Goes
Simply Papercraft:  Anything Goes
2 Creative Chicks:  Anything Goes - No Cards

Special Teacher

A quick random selection of papers from Funky Hand -  Now That's Funky - Sweetie Pie collection.  I've printed some of the papers as A5 and also used some of the sentiment backers plus a sprinkling of co-ordinating card candy.  Dies are X Cut and I've mixed up the sizes.

Nice and simple and rather practical!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

A Special Shoe

Sometimes I have an idea. And then I let it swirl around. Sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a few days. And sometimes for a few weeks. This was one of those ideas.

The brief was to make something special for a work colleague for his wife's 50th Birthday.  I'd been given a list of likes and because I knew her as well I decided to combine it with her bright and funky personality.

So enter Now That's Funky and the Lollipop paper collection from Funky Hand - plus the cd is only £1!!

Everything I've made is from my own templates which I've hand cut with some inspiration from Pinterest here and there. Plus some half pearls and lots of half glass diamonds for bling plus two die cut sentiments using Clearly Besotted dies.

I was given a verse to use which I printed onto a medium scallop Sizzix tag and then cut a larger size so that a message could be handwritten onto it.  This fitted beautifully into the shoe!  More luck than planning!

The shoe was actually quite easy to make once I'd got my head around what I needed to do and how it would glue together.  I reinforced the heel just in case and the sole of the shoe has the same papers as inside the box.

It created quite a bit of a stir in the office when I brought it in to hand over.  And the recipient loved it!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

The Crafter's Cafe:  At The Movies (Cinderella)
Fresh Brewed Designs:  Anything Goes

For Dad - Coffee With Pals

A quick and easy card from me using papers from Now That's Funky cd from Funky Hand - Coffee With Pals section.  Papers have been printed as A5 for a smaller pattern and I've used moustache die cuts - Memory Box, plus ribbon from my stash along with brown card for layering.

The DAD letters I had to cobble together from other letters as I didn't have any d's left!  Coloured with Promarkers and then inked - I found a pack of these in my stash which I must have bought from ebay a long, long time ago before I had a die cutting machine!

Nothing too fancy but easy to make!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges:  Masculine
Di's Digi's:  Die Cuts
Suzy B's Blooming Challenge:  Make It Male
Jo's Scrap Shack:  Father's Day

Simple But Effective

A nice and quick card from me today using Royal Flush paper collection from Now That's Funky which is the cd of the month at Funky Hand!

The kraft card blank works so well with this collection and I've made a little paper bow (my own template) and added a half pearl to the centre.  I've used the negative part of a die cut from Clearly Besotted and I've carefully added the little bits so you can make out the letters better.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Brown Sugar:  Anything Goes

Get Funky Challenge - Boys, Boys, Boys!

It's the fifteenth of the month and that can only mean that it is time for another Get Funky challenge! I am your hostess until 14 August and the theme for the month is:

Boys, Boys, Boys!

Remember, you can make anything you want as long as it fits the theme and that you've used at least one Funky Hand element in your creation. If you're not the proud owner of anything Funky Hand then fear not! If you click here you will be taken to the download section on the Funky Hand website where there is a freebie for the month and the best bit is that it fits with my theme!

I'm actually combining the challenge theme with the boy's Birthday's which are both early September. So at least I know I'm organised for that part!

I've made two word books. Jacob's uses papers from Now That's Funky (a steal at £7.99!) and I've made the letters using wordart. The stars are from the current funky freebie and I've added glossy accents to them. The raffia is from my stash which I've had for about 2 years and I sort of refound it when looking for something else! I think there are 10 different colours in the pack and probably 5 metres of each and all for 99p!!

Samuel's is in a similar colour theme and this time I've used papers from Funky Daze (again at £7.99!) and also made the letters in wordart. He's got tiny star punches all over his.

I do like making wordbooks and I find that once I start making them I can't stop! And because I don't (yet) have a bind-it all machine, I have to be inventive with how I attach the pages of the word book to each other!

Hope you can join in with the challenge - the winner gets a download of their choice and the closing date for entries is 14 August - so a whole month to get creating! Good luck!

My cards fit the following challenges:

Shopping Our Stash: Out With The Old or In With The New (mine is the very old variety!)
Ladybug Crafts Ink: Summer Birthday's
KB Challenges: Something Cute
Unstampabelles: Celebrations (wonderful challenge and this will be my last entry!)
Pile It On: Favourite Technique
Pink Gem Challenges: Let's Hear It For The Boys

Get Funky Challenge - Going Round In Circles

It's my turn to show the sample I've made for this months Get Funky! Challenge which is:

Going Round In Circles

Every three days one of the Funky Hand Design Team will show their sample - the challenges start on the Funky Fifteenth of the month and run until the 14th of the following month at 7pm so you get plenty of time to create and enter!

A winner will be picked each month who will receive a £20 voucher to spend at Funky Hand and runners up will receive blinkies! All you need to do is follow the theme - and Anice will have designed a freebie in keeping with the theme for you to use each time - and to use a Funky Hand product. This month the freebie is here!

I've made this handbag card and used the funky freebie for the ruffled flowers. The other papers are taken from Colour Me Happy and are a perfect match!

The sentiment topper is from Now That's Funky. The flowers have been made by cutting out different sized circles from double sided paper, scrunching them up and then adding a brad through the centre. Really easy and quick to do!

A little bit of faux stitching around the edge and my card is complete! Good luck in entering the challenge!

A Stitch In Time

I snagged this freebie image from Bugaboo a week or two back and printed it (almost immediately!) and added the sentiment under Stella as I thought it about time I made some more thank you cards. Because you just never know when you'll need them.

I've used the Bugaboo challenge which is:

A Stitch In Time plus Autumn Colours

I've used various papers from my bits box - majority are Funky Hand from Now That's Funky which I've corner rounded and doodled a fine black line around.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I've used part of a real tape measure, held onto the card by a big chunky brad. The tape measure is from a little sewing kit that I bought just for the different glass headed pins, and as the kit was only 99p, I bought two! Knowing full well that I can cut up things from the kit and not worrying about it!

Turning Autumn

I've used another freebie image from Sassy Cheryl for this weeks challenge which is:

Autumn / Halloween

I've decided to use autumn colours as although I enjoy making Halloween cards and things, I never know what to do with them as its not really something that is celebrated that much in the UK. Well, not like in the USA!

I've used papers from Funky Hand - the spotty one is from Colour Me Happy and the others from Now That's Funky.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and for once I've managed to co-ordinate colours with the papers even though I'd not worked out which papers I was going to use...... All papers have been taken from my bits box which is sort of going down nicely but not quick enough to be honest! I'll have to start using the cardstock background more and then simply adding titchy bits of printed card as accents.... Will see if that one works!

The sentiment stamp is from Papermania and even though it looks like I wasn't concentrating enough it really does stamp darker on the wishes word - I stamped it 8 times and each time it did the same. Or maybe I'm a bad consistent stamper!

I'd Like a House Like This!

Who wouldn't want a cute little house like this?! The Tiddly Inks challenge at the moment is:

Goodbye To Summer

So I've used a Tiddly Inks image (a freebie from a few weeks ago) and have used rustic reds and oranges for the colours. Coloured with Promarkers with the sky being an old but trusty little ink pad that I have dabbed here and there.

All the papers are from Funky Hand in one form or another. The dotty one is from Colour Me Happy and the others from Now That's Funky. The red card that the image is layered on is from my stash.

A bit of inking and some edge doodling plus the addition of some card candy and it's complete! To be honest, the only reason why I'd like a house like this is because it doesn't look like it needs a lot of cleaning with just the one window! But where would I put my crafty stash?!

Sweet Summertime!

A quick card made with scraps from my box and an image that I coloured over the weekend. It's for the Bugaboo challenge which asks for a:

Summer Theme

The image is from Bugaboo and I've coloured it with Promarkers. All the papers are scraps from previous projects and are from Now That's Funky from Funky Hand.

I've added some brads and ribbon from my stash. A bit of corner rounding and inking and the card is completed! I've not added a sentiment as I could not be bothered looking! How lazy am I?!

Daisy Flower

I've been asked to make some thank you cards and have used the Sketch Saturday challenge to help with inspiration!

The cards are not yet completed as I need to add a few personal touches to it but the overall layout of the sketch is complete. I've used papers from Now That's Funky but resized them to A5 size as I wanted a smaller pattern.

The elements within the sketch I have layered onto red card and have made the flower using a Cuttlebug die and red seed beads. I've found that Copydex glue is the best although I really need to be careful when opening the tube as it simply slides out!

The image is from Bugaboo and I've coloured it with Promarkers and glitter glue. The sentiment is computer generated.

I've actually made two of these!

Summer Birthday

I did say that I would be showing more word books as I've had an order for 3, so here is number 2. And it fits nicely with the current Rosie Dee challenge which is:

Summer Birthday's

I've used papers from Now That's Funky from Funky Hand and I manage to get two letters length ways from a sheet of A4 card as I print the letters via wordart. Each letter has been outlined again with a black sharpie marker for definition.

The ribbons, beads, hat pins and flowers all come from my stash.

Just one more wordbook to go now, so watch out for that one before the end of the week!

Sing In The New Year!

The current Pollycraft challenge has a sketch to follow:

Which I've sort of managed to follow although I've left the sentiment off! Papers are from Now That's Funky (again using up scraps in my box!) Ribbons are from my stash (the green one, I seem to remember was from a box of chocolates - the best kind as they have ribbon!!) and I've added card candy too.

The image is from Pollycraft and I've coloured her with watercolour pencils. Sorry about the strange kinda glow on this card but I couldn't get decent lighting so its been a bit manipulated!

Hope you have a great 2010!!

Anything But Christmas!

The Charisma Cardz challenge is:

Anything But Christmas!

So I've made this football boy card. There are a few boys Birthday's coming up so thought I'd get my stocks to a reasonable level and also to use up some images I've already printed and papers too. Starting on my New Year Resolutions early (but how long they will last is another thing!)

The image is from Crafty Downloads and I've coloured it with felt tips and watercolour pencils. All the papers are from Now That's Funky and are left overs in my scrap box. The embellishment is from a pack of Dress It Up buttons that I bought last year in the sales but never got round to using them.

I've dotted a fine black line around some of the papers for a little more definition and also inked the edges.

Monster Five

The Pink Elephant challenge this week is:

Favourite Christmas Colour Combo

However, although I've used the red and green colours, I've not made a Christmas card but rather a Birthday card for a little boy who has his Birthday over Christmas!

I've used papers from Now That's Funky and have used wordart to create the large letters and then cut them out, highlighting the edges with a Sharpie black marker.

The monster stickers are from a pack I bought a while ago from the Poundshop - one sheet of big bubble monster stickers and one of these shiny ones. I've added wobbly eyes to both the monsters. The silver jump rings are from my stash.

Remember Autumn?

Do you remember the autumn?! Before all the rain and winds?! Well, I made this card with left over papers from my take on the Get Funky Challenge for November which was set by Enfys and is a theme of Autumn Woodland.

The papers are from Now That's Funky - Sweetie Pie collection and I've simply rounded edges and then inked them. I've made the hat pin by using beads from my stash and the ribbon is also from my stash.

The card will actually be sent along with the acrylic Wedding album that I made for the challenge to my cousin David and his wife Janis.

There is still time to enter the November Get Funky challenge - you have until 30 November and you could win a £20 voucher to spend on Funky Hand products!
