Daring Card Makers Challenge - April Elemental Inspiration

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week, as it is the first Friday of the month, its an elemental inspiration:

You need to use at least three of the elements in your creation and colour counts as one choice.  I've used:  texture, the heart, red and white, lettering and the word love.

Good luck with the challenge!

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Animal Antics

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

Animal Antics

I've used another of the Lili of the Valley squares which seems to be no longer available but the digi stamp is on the website.  Papers are from my stash and I've added die cut snowflakes, one layered on a wooden star.

The sentiment is a Sizzix die cut and I've added a charm and embroidery thread from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

I Love Promarkers - Challenge 425 - Digi Doodle Studios

It's Wednesday so time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge!  The theme this fortnight is

Anything Goes

And we are sponsored by Digi Doodle Studios and I was lucky to use the Christmas Carolers digi which I've coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue on the fur.  I've typically kept it simple and added an embossed background (Sizzix) and a red ribbon bow with the tag printed on my computer.

Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodles Challenge - Anything Goes or Christmas Gift

It's time for a new Polkdoodles challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make something to hold a Christmas Gift, using kraft and ribbon.  I've used a sheet of A4 Kraft card to make the gift box and then to hold it shut, I've made a band from an offcut of printed paper and added a thin strip of red ribbon around the middle.  The topper was cut using one of the Stitched and Pierced Nesting Circle dies and then with kraft off-cuts I used the Holly and Spruce die to make the leaves.  The berries are recycled from fancy crackers we had a few years ago - they were too nice to throw away!

Good luck with the challenge!

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Not A Card

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

Not A Card

I've made a cute gift box using a Sizzix die and an A4 sheet of cream pearlescent card.  I found some glittery silver gift wrap ribbon in my stash and attached it with some double sided tape.  The star is a Christmas tree decoration and added a pre made bow to the top and the circle was cut from the scrap from making the box.

Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodles - Spring Has Sprung New Release!

There is a wonderfully cute new release over at Polkadoodles!  Its called Spring Has Sprung and you can buy all the images in a bundle (which is the best value) here or individually.  The bundle has all 6 images in black and white or pre-coloured!

I've used Special Wishes for this card, using Promarkers to colour, plus adding half pearls to the centre of the flowers and glossy accents over the lettering.  I've used Vintage Candy papers plus embroidery thread and a charm from my stash, pink gems to finish!

Next up is Hello Spring, again coloured with Promarkers.  I embossed a background panel with a Sizzix die and then added blue organza ribbon and pink gems from my stash.

And finally, Just A Note, coloured with Promarkers plus half pearls on the flowers and I glittered the lettering (you just can't tell on the picture!)  I've used the fab Timeless Rose 6x6 paper pack for the backing and cut it using the Squarey Swirly Hearts Die and then embossed a border around the edge of the card.

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Animals

This fortnight the challenge is sponsored by Knitty Kitty Digis and I've used Knitted Kitty and coloured him up with Promarkers.  I've used a frame die cut plus a vellum circle to layer the kitty on plus a really old 6x6 sheet from my stash - Trimcraft The Christmas Multi Stack (not got many sheets left!) which I've probably had for over 10 years!

Sentiment has been cut with a Sizzix die and I've doodled a running stitch around the edge of the card with a black fine liner pen.  Good luck with the challenge!

Polkaoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Christmas Mosaic Effect

It's time for a new Polkadoodles challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make a Christmas project and to add a mosaic effect.  I've used the Posydoodles Basics Square dies with silver card from my stash (although it looks gold in the photo!)  I have also used the cute Ice Skates die which I've cut twice - once from white card and then again with silver for the blades.

I've added a gem to the centre of the bow.  The background has been made by blending some silver ink (I've had the ink pad for about 15 years and its not yet dry!) and then running it through a Sizzix embossing folder.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

I've used my Sizzix box die to create this and I used a sheet of Kraft card to cut it.  The baubles I bought a few years ago from Primark and added a wooden snowflake and large gem to hide where I added the baubles.

The band is a scrap piece from a previous project - I keep all my scraps because you just never know when you will need them!  Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Flowers

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make something for Mother's Day that isn't a card and to add flowers.
I've used flowers printed from the Sugar Birdies CD - I've had these in my stash for quite some time and I'm trying to use up what I already have!  I've used one of the Fanciful Circles dies and also a Stitched and Pierced die.

The buttons and embroidery thread are from my stash and I've used a Sizzix and a Clearly Besotted die for the wording.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 180 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme, as always is

Anything Goes

I've made two little gift boxes using my Sizzix die and two sheets of A4 kraft card.  The bands slide off and are off cuts I found in my stash (both are Funky Hand) although I had to piece them together as the strips were not long enough!

The baubles are left over from 2017 gift decorating and are from Primark (30 for £2) and I choose the papers to match the baubles.  Wooden snowflakes and large gems are also from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

I've used the Little Monsters Fuzzpea digi, coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is from the messages bundle.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 177 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme, as always is

Anything Goes

I've made these cute little gift boxes - each takes an A4 sheet of kraft card and I've used a Sizzix die plus off cuts of card I found in my stash plus some wooden tree decorations that I've had for quite some time.

I've added the large bells (bought in the sales a few years ago as I knew I'd be able to use them one day!) with twine and glued all together with glossy accents.  The bands slide off easily so the box remains undamaged.

Little Miss Muffet Stamps - Junior Hatter Pine

Sharing the last of my 2018 Christmas cards and for this I've used Junior Hatter Pine from Little Miss Muffet Stamps with Junior Hatter Add on Faces A - the add on faces are easy to use in a graphics programme, you just need to make sure you line it all up correctly!

The papers are some that I've had in my stash for a long time and they are from Funky Hand - I'm trying to use up all the digital papers I have that are remaining from previous projects; I think they will keep me going for some time!!

Ribbon and bakers twine are from my stash.  I've used a Sizzix die to cut the vellum behind the image and simply added a doodled line around the edge of the vellum and card base.

Daring Card Makers - No Cards

Time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme this week is

No Cards

I've made this cute gift tag - I've cut the tag using a Sizzix die and added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edge.  The snowflake is a glittery wooden tree decoration that I bought probably 8 or 9 years ago and have just got round to using it!

I've added some clear gems to the points and centre.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:
