I've taken this literally and made this card for someone who is 70 and loves cupcakes!  The image is a freebie that I found on the internet, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue.  Numbers cut with a die and glittered as well.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - In The Garden

In The Garden

I've used a cute Lily of the Valley image and coloured with a combination of Promarkers and coloured pencils.  The papers are really old ones from a 6x6 pad I found in my stash (I think they are all multiplying as I seem to have an awful lot!)

I also used a brad and an eyelet that have been there for years and years too; sentiment cut using Clearly Besotted dies and I used a combination of words to get Granda!

I found this digi already printed in my stash and its from Jellypark which sadly no longer trades, coloured with Promarkers.  I found some very dark pearlescent blue card in my stash and layered the image onto it and then the red stary paper is some random printed paper I also found and not got a clue where its from.  Great to be using up stuff I already have!!

The sentiment die is from Clearly Besotted and I've finally added the little camera charm with some bakers twine.  Good luck with the challenge!

I've used two Memory Box butterfly dies - the ones behind don't fully release from the card and then I layered the fancy bits on top.  The card is left over from my cousin's wedding (8 years ago!) as too is the ribbon.

I cut two lots of the wording (Clearly Besotted dies) so that they stood out more and used offcuts of the card to do it.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Elemental Inspiration June

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is an inspiration board:

You need to make sure you use three different elements and colour counts as one.  I've gone for the following elements:  Summer theme, water, cocktail, gingham pattern, yellow and words.

I've used a now retired From The Heart stamp and coloured it with Promarkers and coloured pencils.  Paper from my stash along with the paper ribbon, charm and half pearls.  Die cut sentiments are from Clearly Besotted.

I've used flowers printed from the Sugar Birdies CD - I've had these in my stash for quite some time and I'm trying to use up what I already have!  I've used one of the Fanciful Circles dies and also a Stitched and Pierced die.

The buttons and embroidery thread are from my stash and I've used a Sizzix and a Clearly Besotted die for the wording.

I've got quite a range of half pearls in my stash of varying sizes and thought it would be nice to use them on a card to create a bauble.  I didn't use a template, just laid them out before gluing to make sure it looked ok and then glued them using glossy accents to make sure they stuck!
