Daring Card Makers Challenge - Wing It!

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

Wing It!

I've used two Memory Box butterfly dies - the ones behind don't fully release from the card and then I layered the fancy bits on top.  The card is left over from my cousin's wedding (8 years ago!) as too is the ribbon.

I cut two lots of the wording (Clearly Besotted dies) so that they stood out more and used offcuts of the card to do it.

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 44 - All Dressed Up Stamps

Time for a new Colour Crazy challenge and as always the theme is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by All Dressed Up stamps and I have used Sharing at Christmas, coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue.  I've used a Memory Box die to cut the main background and then some wiggly stitched dies for the foreground.  I've rubbed inks to make the background and then added liquid pearl dots for snowflakes.

I've handwritten the sentiment on some vellum and added a wooden snowflake to hide the glue!

Daring Card Makers Challenge - November Elemental Inspiration

It's time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and as its the first Friday of the month then it is an elemental inspiration picture for you to choose at least three elements (colour counts as one choice).

I've used the word snow, the white, dots (liquid pearls), sentiment, houses.

The large die cut letters are 10cm tall and great for making bold statement cards!  I've added dotted liquid pearls around the edges and then added a Memory Box landscape die - cutting it once and then moving it along to cut again to match the width of the card.

Tag has been stamped with a sentiment and then a small length of Christmas twine has been added to the top.

Daring Card Makers - February Elemental Inspiration

It's time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and as it is the first Friday of the month, its time for an elemental inspiration challenge.  The picture is:

Just remember to select three elements (colour counts as one) and to list them in your entry.

I've gone for hot pink, pearls, pins, heart, glitter and stitching.  The top layer of the butterfly wings (Memory Box) has been cut from glitter card but it just does not show too well in the photo.

I have lots of seed beads and pins in my stash so good excuse to use up some of those!  The bottom layer of the wings is cut directly from the card and remains attached in the centre, I've added an offcut of hot pink card underneath for extra depth.

Daring Card Makers - November Elemental Inspiration

It's the first Friday of the month over at Daring Card Makers so that means it is time for an Elemental Inspiration picture:

I've used the wording (noel), metal, reindeer, embossing, wood and the green.  The ribbon is from my stash and the silver thread is recycled from a gift tag.  Reindeer charm also from my stash.  I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a Memory Box snowflake wreath and added little half pearls for accents.

The word noel is a Clearly Besotted die cut from silver card and the stag is an unbranded die which I've cut three times from kraft card and glued together.

I've used Polka Dot Pals Lakyn and coloured her with Promarkers.  I've used a Clearly Besotted die to cut the landscape and added some Memory Box fluffy clouds to the sheet of blue card from my stash.

Daring Card Makers - September Elemental Inspiration

It's the first Friday of the month so its the Elemental Inspiration photo from the Daring Card Makers!  Don't forget that you need to use at least three elements from the photo and please list them too!

I've used the ice lolly, waves, lettering, dark blue, cyan blue and clean lines.  The ice lolly is from Polkadoodles - Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles download and I've coloured it with Promarkers.

I've scored a border around the edge of the card and the waves die is from Memory Box and I've used scraps from my big folder.  The sentiment is an unbranded die and it cuts beautifully!

Dad's 70th - E is for

Here is the second part of the word sEventy for my Dad's birthday earlier this year.  I've used BBQ Bill from Dr Digi along with Balls and the freebie Sunshade.  All have been coloured with Promarkers.

The large letter E is a chipboard letter that I coloured using a marker and the other letters are from my Sizzix Round-A-Bout alphabet set.

Clouds have been cut with a Memory Box die and the grass are various dies (negative also used) from my stash.

The challenge lasts for two weeks and you could win a $10 gift certificate to the store!  I've used Pick Me Up Truck, coloured with Promarkers and I came across the papers when looking for something else!

The 'sand' is an embossed cardstock 12x12 stack from The Works (£3 for 24 sheets) and the aqua and patterned paper were in a starter pack when I bought my Sizzix machine.

Sizzix die cut tag that I've handwritten plus a bit of freehand doodling with a black fine liner pen and the clouds are Memory Box dies.  Good luck with the challenge!

White Butterfly

A quick card to share - I wanted to make a card for a work colleague who's just lost her Grandma.  I wanted a butterfly and something simple and fresh.  I've used two Memory Box dies - the Asti Butterfly Wings and over the top Willoughby then I've added some white half pearls to the body and also under the butterfly.

To finish, I've scored a line around the edges of the card with a freebie scoring board and folder I got with a magazine years ago.  I'd like to enter the following:

I've made a shaker card and this was a special request card too for a Chelsea Football fan who loves cars!  I've used a Memory Box die for the scene and added some fake snow and seed beads for the shaker bits - both from my stash.

The car charm, ribbon and bakers twine are also from my stash and I've used an X Cut star die plus a swirly little X Cut die too.  I printed the Chelsea emblem a few times and then cut then out.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 141 - Pets

Welcome to a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is

I've used a no longer available Jellypark image, coloured with Promarkers and I've made a shaker card with seed beads and some fake snow that I bought for 10p from the Poundshop after Christmas.  And its quite a large bag too!

Ribbons are from my stash along with the snowflake charm and I've handwritten the Sizzix die cut tag.  The border is from Memory Box - Frostivlle wreath and I've pieced it together to make it large enough and then added half pearls to some of the snowflake centres.

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme this fortnight is:

I've used Memory Box die cuts plus ribbon and a charm from my stash.  The tag has been handwritten and is a Sizzix die cut.  The image is from Buddly Crafts and I've coloured it with Promarkers.

I've used a sheet of acetate to create the card with a sheet of white card as the backing so any text written on it won't show through.  Good luck with the challenge!

19th Hole

Here is a card I made for a work colleague who was leaving and was anticipating spending some of his down time on the golf course.  And probably the 19th hole!  Made using Hole In One Hal from Dr Digi, coloured with Promarkers with Memory Box clouds and Clearly Besotted grass, coloured with Promarkers.

I made the the sign myself with a mini X Cut die and a cocktail stick.
