Tea at Thirty

A card made for a work colleague who turned 30 and enjoys his cups of tea!  Made using papers and image from the Tea Time set from Dr Digi.  I've used my own number templates and added a faux running stitch with a black fine liner pen around the edges of the numbers.

The cuppa has been coloured with Promarkers and added with foam pads for depth.

Polkadoodle Challenge: Anything Goes or More Than Two Papers

We are part way through the current Polkadoodle Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

The Design Team were challenge to use More Than Two Papers.  I've again gone for the Belle Papillon and used up some off cuts of card when I make square card blanks.  I've printed one of the tags from the collection and layered it onto some card too, all edges have been inked and I've cut out some of the butterflies from the collection, slightly curling their wings for extra depth.

The waxed cord, half pearls and pearl ribbon slider are all from my stash.  Great papers and really easy to use that look like lots of effort and time have been spent on them!  Good luck with the challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 133 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Anything Goes

I've used a kraft card blank as my base and used the negative from the Tim Holtz die, layering the embellishments on the top.  I made the holly leaves and the bow plus the mittens from my own template and this was a personalised card for parents who loved dogs and golf - hence the charms!

The red berries were recycled from some cracker embellishments from a few years ago and everything else was from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge:

Flowers

A pretty quick card to make using a From The Heart Stamps image - Precious Gift coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue here and there.  I've used a Lily of The Valley sentiment which I layered onto some deep purple card I found in my stash.

The postage stamp die is an unbranded metal die I bought from ebay and everything else is from my stash.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Use A Die Cut

We are part way through the current Polkadoodle challenge which is:

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to Use A Die Cut.  I've used papers and elements from the Belle Papillon Collection.  I've curled the edges of the butterfly wings for extra depth.  I've slightly distressed the edges of the paper and then inked it for a more shabby look.

All the flowers have been made with the Flowers 2 Die - I found some tissue paper in my stash which I used and layered with left over papers.  Half pearls are from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 132 - Recycling

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Recycling

I've taken two panels from a box of tissues (is it just me who looks out for stuff that can be reused afterwards?!) and then layered them onto some silver card and then onto red card before adding to the card blank.

The ribbon is from my stash - I have a feeling it is from Tesco a number of years ago, and the wooden snowflakes are from Sainsburys.

Nice and quick to make!  Good luck with the challenge!

From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop - CASE It!

It's the first Monday of the month and welcome to May's From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop!  The theme for this month is:

CASE It!

Each of the Design Team were assigned a team member to CASE - I got Angela and here is her card that I choose:

I like the colours and the angles plus just how clean and simple it is without looking too plain!  And here is my take on it:

I've used Birdbrain Balloon and coloured it with Promarkers plus added glossy accents to the eyes.  The embossed panel is a Sizzix folder and I've added die cut numbers from the same pink card, cut with an unbranded metal die and I've added glitter glue over the top for extra sparkle.

The silver discs are also an unbranded metal die cut and the pink card is from my stash.

Good luck with the hop - you should have arrived at me from Michelle if not, go back to the beginning which is the FTHS blog and make sure you leave a comment on each blog as you hop by as there will be one lucky participant picked from each blog comments who will win a FTHS image!  I'm the last stop in the hop - please leave me a comment and then go back the the FTHS blog.
