Retirement - Part 5

Here is the fifth page in the work colleagues retirement card - big enough for all the offices to sign!  This one features Skater Stanley who I've coloured with Promarkers.  Again, papers from the Papermaina 6 x 6 stack and our organisation colours are blue, orange and purple (I know!!) so these have featured throughout the card.

Daring Card Makers - Handmade Flowers

It's Friday again and time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme this week is

Handmade Flowers

I've used the Stampin' Unicorn Dotty About Flowers stamp onto some hot pink tissue paper wrapping that I had in my stash (always knew I'd find a way to use it!)  I've only stamped on the top layer and then cut the underneath by layering up the tissue paper so that I cut about 4 or 5 at once.

The flower centres have been made with clear glass gems and I've added some to the wicker heart which I pre painted with acrylic white paint.

I've used a wooden Christmas tree ornament and used some bakers twine, handwritten sizzix tag and a bell to hide the hole at the top.

Papers are Let It Snow 12x12 stack and I've added half pearls from my stash plus a Sizzix embossed panel.  The wavy line has been cut with an unbranded die.

I've made a Good Luck card for a colleague who I've worked with for around 16 years and this is for the office to sign.  I've used an image by Faith at From The Heart Stamps which sadly is no longer available as the store is now closed.  The sentiment came with the stamp too.

I've used Promarkers to colour plus added gems to the centres of the shamrocks and one I've rather gone over the top with the glitter on the one in the middle!

This week we are working with the new release stamps and here is one - Polka Dot Pals - Yedda.  I've coloured her up with Promarkers and used a cloud background from Winnie Celebrations 1 from Polkadoodles.  The background wasn't actually wide enough so I've had to piece it down the centre and added some Memory Box cloud die cuts to hide it!

The fence is a die cut that I found in my stash and I've used an unbranded die for the grass (both positive and negative cuts) and right at the front I've used two layers of Clearly Besotted grass die cuts which have been coloured with Promarkers.

Retirement - Part 3

Here is the third page in the retirement card I made for a work colleague.  His last day was Friday and although I wasn't in work that day I've been told by quite a few people that he loved the card and I also got a lovely email to say the same.

This page features Crouching Tiger Hidden Dunderton from Dr Digi and I've coloured him with Promarkers plus a computer generated sentiment and papers from a Papermania 6x6 stack - For Him.

It was easier to take the photos of each individual page rather than when they were joined together with metal rings!

Little Dudes - Superhero

And here is another Little Dude from Polkadoodles and this one is called Superhero!  I've coloured him up with Promarkers and used one of the papers and sentiments from the bundle.  I've layered it all onto some black card, added a running stitch around the background with a black fine liner pen and I've finally used the building die cuts that I've had in my stash for longer than I care to remember!

Little Dudes - Prickly

I so enjoyed colouring up this Little Dude from Polkadoodles - he's one of 21 in the set of Little Dudes and this one is called Prickly.  I've coloured him with a combination of Promarkers and coloured pencils plus two of the papers from the kit and one of the sentiments.

I've simply added some kraft card, and waxed cord; the papers are lightly distressed and that's it!  And they are great images to colour!  I'd like to enter the folowing:

I've made this card using a background coloured with Aquamarkers and an unbranded die for the birch trees.  I've also used unbranded dies for the stag (lightly inked with an old brown inkpad) and the curvy border.

I've made this cute card using the Desert Cactus digi which has been coloured with Promarkers and the background has been coloured with pencils.  I've used a kraft card blank and layered the image onto offcuts of kraft card and black card plus added a doodled line with a black fine liner pen.

The sentiment I've stamped with a tiny Studio G alphabet set which I've had for years.  Good luck with the challenge and don't forget to link up!

Here is another of the new release images (plus sentiments and papers!) from Polkadoodles!  This one is called Play Ball and I've used Promarkers to colour plus two of the three papers from the bundle.  I've simply added some X Cut stars cut from leftovers from the papers (printed two to a side of A4) and Graffiti Sizzix alphabet.

I made the large letter J with my own template and then layered it onto some black card for extra definition.

And to finish a faux running stitch made with a black fine liner pen.  Such great images - I've loved colouring them up!

Posy Doodles - Lots of Flowers!

Polkadoodles are on Hochanda today at 10am and 2pm UK time and here is one of the samples I've made!  I've used one of the papers from the paper pack and the added some stamped flowers that have been coloured with watercolour paints.  The smaller flowers have also got liquid pearls doted on them and they've been added with foam pads for depth.

I cut out the centre square using an X Cut die and one of the toppers fitted perfectly in the centre - I've just added two stamped flowers but only coloured the centres.

Createful Heart Facebook Sketch Challenge - May 2018

I've been entering the Createful Heart facebook sketch challenge for a few months - you get the image for free as long as you are able to play along and follow the sketch challenge.  This month the stamp is Miss Gabby's Ready For Spring and I've coloured her with Promarkers with watercolour pencils for the water and background.

Little Dudes - Skateboard

Polkadoodles has released a brand new collection of images called Little Dudes - you can either buy the whole collection as a download or each individual black and white image.  And you get 3 bonus papers and sentiments included!  I've used Skateboard and coloured him with Promarkers, cut him out and then added to the card blank with foam pads.

The sentiment comes with the image and I've added it to some red card and then made it look like a tab.  Finally, scored an edge with a bone folder.

Retirement - part 1

A work colleague is retiring next week after a long career and I made a retirement card but as a book with pages so there is plenty of room to sign as its got to go round 6 offices across the North of England!  This is the first page in the series and features Professor Dumnkopf

I've used a hole punch before gluing two sheets of the lightly hammered card together to make a sturdy page (the reverse is free to be written upon), created the text on my computer, layered it onto black card and then added it to the page.  The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I've added glossy accents on his glasses and then added him to the card with foam pads for depth.
