Little Dudes - Superhero

And here is another Little Dude from Polkadoodles and this one is called Superhero!  I've coloured him up with Promarkers and used one of the papers and sentiments from the bundle.  I've layered it all onto some black card, added a running stitch around the background with a black fine liner pen and I've finally used the building die cuts that I've had in my stash for longer than I care to remember!

I didn't have two full strips that were long enough so had to piece the back one together.  I'd like to enter the following:

A Gem of a Challenge:  It's A Man's World
Crafting With Dragonflies:  Happy Birthday
Brown Sugar:  Masculine
Art Impressions Stamps:  Playing Dress Up
The Crafty Addicts:  Anything Goes

Jellypark Challenge 8 - Dressing Up

If you are looking for the OWH Fundraiser blog hop click HERE!

It's time for another challenge at Jellypark and the theme for this fortnight is

Dressing Up

I just love this little superhero image! He's been coloured with Promarkers and added with foam pads so he stands proud a little. All the papers are from a digi pack from Echo Park - Summerdays Papers and I've added some extra clouds with foam pads.

The cityscape is a die cut which I've had for ages and its just perfect for the card! Hope you can join in with the challenge - for more details pop over to the challenge blog!

I've made cards with the two new release images too but will blog those over the weekend!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Paper Play: Use Black
Shelly's Images: Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers: Cute
Sweet Stamps: Lots of Layers

  • Image: Jellypark, coloured with Promarkers
  • Papers: Echo Park digi kit, Summerday papers
  • Die Cuts: From my stash

Super Birthday!

I found a new challenge site (well, new to me!) whilst blog hopping a while ago and the current Cards for Men challenge is:

Happy Birthday

Basically, the challenges are all male based, which, is no bad thing as sometimes these are the hardest cards to make!

I've used a Digi Sparkle image, coloured with Promarkers and printed my own sentiment. The backing papers are from Boys and Girls from Funky Hand which I found scraps of in my box and I am determined to use what I have hence the tall thin card blank!

The string is from my stash, along with the silver star. A nice quick card to make and such a fab image!

  • Backing papers: Boys and Girls download from Funky Hand
  • Image: Digi Sparkle, coloured with Promarkers
  • Sentiment: Computer generated
  • Everything else: My stash

Bam! Comic Superhero!

Another one by the seat of my pants! This time it is the lovely Papertake Weekly Challenge which is this fab sketch:

I've used papers from the very soon to be released cd from Polkadoodles - Not For Girls - it's a male themed cd and it will be launched on Create and Craft on 1 October. As soon as I saw the backing paper I had to use it!

All the elements you see are from the cd - I've resized the 'bam' and the Happy Birthday sentiment so that they would fit the size of my card. I've simply inked the edges of everything and added it - the centre 'bam' is on 3d foam pads and the sentiment is on doubled 3d foam pads.

Perfect for the superhero in your life! The backing paper comes in various colourways too but I liked the red!
