A Little Bit Of....

... Funky Daze to brighten your day!  I've made a cute basket with papers from the Funky Daze collection from Funky Hand plus a little bunting.  Perfect for a Mum to Be Gift!

Really easy to make and the papers were perfect!  Not sure if the baby will be a girl but I liked it to be bright so it was a bit pink themed!  The box is one of my own templates (I made it up as I went along) and I made the bunting template as well.  BBQ sticks from the kitchen (I buy them from the pound shop!) plus hot pink ribbon from my stash.

The scalloped bottom edge is a Martha Stewart punch, a little bit of inking and its complete!

Just A Wee Little Note

Rather enjoyed colouring up this cute image - Hamlet PigWit Being Shy which is a From The Heart Stamps progressive challenge image for April.  I've used Promarkers to colour and the sentiment comes with the stamp.

I've been trying to use up the scrap pieces of card from making square cards so this was perfect after I layered the image onto a fancy Spellbinders die cut.  A cut flower charm tied on with pink embroidery thread.

Bright Chick

A rather quick and bright card for the From The Heart Stamps sketch this week. Not the original image I was planning on using but this image - Birthday Suit Birdbrain went much better with the sketch plus I was able to use up some off-cuts of Echo Park - Summerdays papers.

I had to join up the purple base hence the patterned strips to hide it!

And a few pearls from my stash.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 79 - Stockings

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Stockings

I've used papers from Funky Hand - Santa Baby download and used my own template.  There is a lot of glittering and I've used Sizzix and Marianne Creatable dies.

The bling is a Christmas garland which I picked up in the January sales for not much, and I got a lot of it!

Good luck with the challenge - pop over to the blog for more details.

Candles

I've made these cute candles by printing papers from Funky Daze - Son Day collection and then rolling them up.  The papers were printed as A6 size (4 on a sheet of A4 thin card) and then I rolled them around a skewer.  The 'flames' are jute string that I've glued just inside the top of the candle.

Sentiment is a stamp from the Our Betty collection.  Don't forget that the cd is only £1 and the stamp set is also just £1!!

The Goon From The Lagoon

Sometimes an image is perfect for a Birthday card especially when the recipient can look just as grumpy! The Goon From The Lagoon is available to buy in the Dr Digi store!

I've coloured him with Promarkers and added glossy accents over the eyes; sentiment is handwritten and I've used a Sizzix tag die.

Polkadoodles Challenge Week 14 - Pretty and Pink - Inspiration

It's mid-way through the current Polkadoodles challenge and the theme is:

Pretty and Pink

I've gone clean and simple this week and quick as well!  I printed the pre-coloured Dollie from the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk cd directly onto the cardstock; the sentiment is from the same cd.  A little bit of doodling around the edges and some half pearls and a card in a hurry is complete!

It took a bit of working out and positioning to get it just right onto the cardstock, but I'm rather pleased with how it turned out!  Good luck with the challenge!

We are at the mid point of the current Simply Create Too challenge and the theme is:

No Stamped or Digi Images

I've made a Wedding Word Book and used white linen effect card.  All the letters have had their edges glittered, and the smaller lettering is a Cuttlebug Baby Face die and I've added the letters to a strip of acetate.

Charms (I've used a chimney sweep and also a 2014 year charm) , ribbon and pearls are all from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  Please see the blog for further details on how to enter and when the challenge closes.

Professor Dummkopf

Well, as with any good team, people come and go.  And there have been quite a few going where I work and here is one of the cards I made for the occasion:

The wording on the front is an 'in joke' across the office so I won't explain it!  Prof Dummkopf is available to buy in the Dr Digi store.  He's been coloured with Promarkers and I've lightly distressed a piece of blue card for the background and the lettering is a Sizzix die.

Funky Daze - Fourth Day

There is some wonderful colour collections on the Funky Daze cd - this particular one is called Fourth Day and is just perfect for males!

All the papers, with exception to the blue one, I've printed as A6 so that I can fit 4 different papers on a sheet of A4 card.  The patterns are also small enough so that they are not lost in the layering and overlapping.  This was a really quick card to make - great when you're in a hurry!

I've used an X Cut circle die and the lettering is two Clearly Besotted dies.  The stars have also been cut with an X Cut die and I've recycled a Graze box with the lettering and stars.

Lots O' Luck

I managed to get quite a few images coloured up over the Christmas break and this is one of those - Lucky Birdbrain Chick - From The Heart digi stamps.  Which was good thinking as I needed a good luck card for work tomorrow!

I've coloured it with Promarkers and added glitter glue around the edges and also sentiment.  Everything else is from my stash including the printed paper.  The charm is from my rather extensive stash (and growing!)

A Birthday Brew

A quick card from me today using a From The Heart digi stamp - Birthday Brew, which I've coloured with Promarkers and added a bit of glitter to the froth and flame.

I've layered the papers, sentiment and image onto the reverse of a Graze box - really good quality kraft thick card and if I'm careful, I can crop out the writing!  The papers are from my stash and are all scraps that I've had to be creative with so that you can't see the joins!  The only full piece is the spotty one - all the others are parts I've added together like a jigsaw!

The sentiment came with the digi and I've added a cute bottle opener charm.  I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 78 - Bears

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge!  The theme for the fortnight is:

Bears

I've used a cute topper from Lily of The Valley, layered it onto some gold card and then papers from my stash.  The ribbon and wooden star are actually from Tesco and I've had them some time in my stash!  I've added glitter around the edges of the card and also image for some delicate sparkle.

Good luck with the challenge - the rules can be found on the blog.

Paint Cans

I don't know what is more daunting - seeing open paint cans or the actual house move.....

Still at least these paint cans from Dr Digi are easy to use and won't break the bank!  I've coloured them with Promarkers and then added glossy accents over the paint.  All wording is by me and I've added two little key charms with embroidery thread.

6-Teen

I do like making wordbooks and what better than to use the Funky Daze cd from Funky Hand! If you've not made wordbooks before and just want to try to see if you like, then Funky Daze is the cd for you! There are two wordbook sections and this is the male one.

They are really easy to make - just print the letters you want (I've added the number by using one of my own templates) and then if you wish, print a contrasting paper on the reverse.  Easy peasy!  I've edged each letter with a Promarker and then gone over the top with glossy accents.

The stars are cut with an X Cut die and I've popped them up with tiny foam pads and then covered with glossy accents.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
