Retirement - part 1

A work colleague is retiring next week after a long career and I made a retirement card but as a book with pages so there is plenty of room to sign as its got to go round 6 offices across the North of England!  This is the first page in the series and features Professor Dumnkopf

I've used a hole punch before gluing two sheets of the lightly hammered card together to make a sturdy page (the reverse is free to be written upon), created the text on my computer, layered it onto black card and then added it to the page.  The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I've added glossy accents on his glasses and then added him to the card with foam pads for depth.

Professor Dummkopf

There are some great men's digi stamps over at Dr Digi and this one is called Professor Dummkopf.  I've used a lot of kraft card and a black sharpie and black fine liner pen!  All but the card base are offcuts of card from previous projects and some are recycled from Graze boxes.

Image has been coloured with Promarkers and I hand wrote the sentiment.

Made for a work colleague who looks rather like the image but without the lab coat!

The Dr Digi images are great for making large cards - Prof Dummkopf has been coloured with Promarkers and I've made him approx A5 size. I hand wrote the sentiment with a black fine liner pen and added glossy accents to mimic the lenses on the specs.

Well, as with any good team, people come and go.  And there have been quite a few going where I work and here is one of the cards I made for the occasion:

The wording on the front is an 'in joke' across the office so I won't explain it!  Prof Dummkopf is available to buy in the Dr Digi store.  He's been coloured with Promarkers and I've lightly distressed a piece of blue card for the background and the lettering is a Sizzix die.

Sentiment taken from Birthday Sentiments Sheet 01. And just incase your eyesight is fading, the sentiment is rather large on the card!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and layered the sentiment onto offcuts of card and used a sheet of acetate for the base. Quite simple!
