Daring Card Makers - Sunglasses

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

I had a rummage through all my stash and found a rather old sheet of decoupage from La Pashe called Flippity Dippity and thought the image was perfect for this challenge!  I cut out all the elements and layered them up - there is a reverse too! and also layered onto black card so make the image stand out more.  An offcut of card for the base and I found some equally old papers to use over it.

I've made this cute card using a Lili of the Valley image - Take It Easy, which I've coloured with Promarkers.  All the papers are from my stash and they are from a really old pack which I'm trying to use up and I've got a lot of oddments from previous projects to use!  Sentiment is computer generated.

I've made a card using lots of offcuts - the background paper is oddments from previous projects along with the stars.  The frame has been cut using two square dies and the letters and sentiment also from bits of kraft card.  String from the kitchen drawer!

Daring Card Makers - Up The Flag Pole!

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

Up The Flag Pole

I've used the USA flag as inspiration - mainly the colours and the stars (didn't manage the stripes!) and have used up oddments from my stash to make it plus a black fine liner pen for the faux running stitch.  An X Cut star die plus used up some Swiss Dots embossed white card that I found in my stash.  

The sentiment die is from my stash and I've use the negative part for a change.  Good luck with the challenge!

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is an Elemental Inspiration picture because it's the first Friday of a new month!  You need to pick at least three elements from the picture below and colours count as one choice

I've used a no longer available digi stamp by From The Heart Stamps and used Promarkers to colour, tiny gems on the flip flops and added the sentiment tag with bakers twine from my stash.  My elements are:  the colours, summer theme, text, flip flops, sea, flowers and the geometric pattern.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Mermaids

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

Mermaids

I've used a Little Miss Muffet digi stamp I found pre printed in my stash, coloured with Promarkers and liquid pearls.  The papers are from a bargain 6x6 pack I found in my stash plus I delved deeper and found some Basic Grey fibres that were gifted to me and teamed it with some thin lavender ribbon.

I've hand written the sentiment, added liquid pearl dots around the edge of the card and image plus softened it a little with heart vellum die cuts around the image.  Good luck with the challenge!

I've used a From The Heart Stamps image that is sadly no longer available, coloured with Promarkers.  I found some papers in my stash that matched the colour scheme and added some embroidery thread and tied a star fish charm to it.

I've made a slimline card using a stamped image I got in a swop a long long time ago.  It's been coloured with watercolour paints and I've added it to the card base.  I've stamped the sentiment with an acrylic stamp from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

I've used a rather cute Jellypark image that is sadly no longer available, coloured with Promarkers plus lots of fine glitter on the wings. I've used the image of the bee, the colours, wording, heart and the flower.

I've made a cute Baby on Board card using a no longer available digi from Jellypark which I've coloured with Promarkers.  Papers are from my stash and I have a feeling they are really old Polkadoodles; added liquid pearl dots and a circle of vellum behind the image.  Ribbon, bakers twine, half pearls and baby carriage charm from my stash.

I've made a cute First Day At School card using a now retired Jellypark image, coloured with Promarkers and I think the papers are from Echo Park and are a digital version so I've had them printed in my stash for a long time!  I've handwritten the tag and added a silver apple charm.

I've used a Lili Of The Valley digi, coloured with Promarkers and then double cut the sentiment, once with black card and then layered dark teal over the top.  Stars have been cut with various offcuts of card (I rarely throw any bits away!) and then found some old Funky Hand ziz zag papers in my stash that I've had for an absolute age - still trying to use up what I have!

I've made a bold birthday card using large die cut letters (I've used spray inks on some offcuts of card before cutting the letters) and layered onto silver card.  The little letters used the bits that were left over plus added some stars cut from various other left over bits!

I've taken this literally and made this card for someone who is 70 and loves cupcakes!  The image is a freebie that I found on the internet, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue.  Numbers cut with a die and glittered as well.
