Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Go Tropical

There is a new challenge starting over on Daring Cardmakers  and the theme for the week is

Go Tropical

I've used some cute dies from Polkadoodles - Winnie Chic for the body, back hair piece and flowers; Winnie Ballerina for the front hair (I snipped a bit off) and also for the base of the dress.  I made the dress using little pieces of raffia ribbon that I snipped and then ruffled up.

The branches are an unbranded die, and the die used to cut the sand is also from Polkadoodles - Scenic Landscape and the Fluffy Clouds too.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Happy Birthday

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme, as always is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenge to a theme of Happy Birthday.  I've used my own number templates plus Winnie Chic gift die and the background hair, Miss Winnie die plus the front hair from Winnie Ballerina.

The papers are from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles and the offcuts were used to make the banner.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Spring / Summer

Welcome to a new Polkadoodle challenge!  The theme as always is

Anything Goes

However the DT were challenged with the theme of Spring / Summer.  I've made this cute mermaid using the Winnie Ballerina die for the body and Winnie Chic die for the hair.  I've added random seed beads from my stash, sticking them with glossy accents and then sprinkled fine glitter over the top.  I've also added some tiny bows from the Ballerina die to her hair and an iridescence flower I also found in my stash.

The clouds have been cut from offcuts of card and the waves are the negatives from the edge shape dies which are no longer available.

Ribbon from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Winter Birthday

Hello!  Time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

However the DT were challenged to A Winter Birthday.  I've used Winnie Chic cutting die for the body, background hair, hairband, dress and present.  For the hair bow and shoes I used Miss Winnie cutting die and for the top layer of hair I used Winnie Ballerina cutting die - all of the dies are compatible and interchangeable with one another so endless possibilities!

I used the skin tone card from the card stock pack and the hair is card from my own stash along with glittery card and half pearls.

I added a scored border around the edges of the card, some half pearls from my stash (tiny ones for her shoes!) plus a Sizzix tag which I've hand written and some lovely aqua organza ribbon, again from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Winnie Unicorn!

Another make using the Winnie dies from Polkadoodles! This time I've made Winnie Ballerina into a little unicorn!  I coloured her hair with watercolour pencils and added a little sparkly tail and horn (you just can't see the sparkle too well in the photo).

I used the paper pack for her dress layers plus the sentiment is taken from the Ula Be A Unicorn digi.

I've distressed the edge of the background paper which I found in my stash (I had a clear out / tidy up over Christmas) and I've coloured the sentiment strip with coloured pencils.  Embroidery thread and unicorn charm are from my stash.

Winnie Ballerina

Sharing another make using the new Winnie dies from Polkadoodles - I've used Winnie Ballerina plus papers from the cardstock pack.  The aperture was cut with the stitched and pierced dies - the inner circle is the next size down and I've edged it with dotted liquid pearls.

As she is a ballerina, I've made her so that she twirls just forgot to take a photo of her reverse side!  Ribbons are from my stash.

Winnie Mermaid

Here I am with another of the wonderful Winnie dies from Polkadoodles!  I've made the card base using the Stitched and Pierced Circles dies, the Winnie Ballerina body, top part of the tutu and also the single hair piece.  I used Aquamarkers to colour a scrap bit of card, cut out the top part of the tutu and then two of the single hair pieces - I cut one in reverse so I could get the mermaid 'tail'.

After gluing the tail together, I applied quite a lot of glossy accents over the top and added seed beads from my stash and a lot of very fine glitter - it doesn't really show up in the photo but there are lots!

The hair has been cut using the Winnie Chic die set and the body colour uses one of the papers from the cardstock pack.

I made the background by adding more glossy accents and the fine glitter and then inking the edges of the card.

Organza ribbon is from my stash along with the flower brad.
