Polkadoodles Challenge - Shaped Card

It's time for a new Polkdoodles challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make a shaped card so I've gone with this rather cute baby on board card, using Having A Giraffe Clear Stamp, coloured with Promarkers.  I've made the card base using the largest Posydoodles Basics Circle die and then layered a small die cut on top after it had been embossed with the Stampin' Unicorn Quilted Picnic Embossing folder and to finish I hand wrote the sentiment on the Posydoodles Basics Tag die cut.

Furry brad and organza ribbon from my stash.  Rather amazed I managed to cut a flat edge to the actual bottom of the card!  Good luck with the challenge!

This week we are sponsored by Polkadoodles and I've used one of the Stampin' Unicorn clear acrylic stamps but I think its unavailable in the store as I can't find it.  I've used Promarkers to colour and used one of the Perfect Wishes sentiment stamps.

The layered squares were cut with the Posydoodles Square set of dies.  I've scored a line around the edge of the card and added some embroidery thread, also from my stash.

I've used Tall and Elegant acrylic stamp from Stampin' Unicorn and coloured it with Promarkers plus a little bit of glitter glue here and there.  I've die cut the image and layered it onto the card blank with foam pads for depth and scored a border around the edge of the card.

Daring Card Makers - Handmade Flowers

It's Friday again and time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme this week is

Handmade Flowers

I've used the Stampin' Unicorn Dotty About Flowers stamp onto some hot pink tissue paper wrapping that I had in my stash (always knew I'd find a way to use it!)  I've only stamped on the top layer and then cut the underneath by layering up the tissue paper so that I cut about 4 or 5 at once.

The flower centres have been made with clear glass gems and I've added some to the wicker heart which I pre painted with acrylic white paint.

Here is one of the stamps featured in the show and one one of the demos from Nikky. Beautiful clear crisp lines every time it is stamped! I've used a fancy Spellbinders die for all the panels and I've stamped onto linen effect white card and coloured with Promarkers.

Daisy Friends

And here is another sample I've made for Stampin' Unicorn!  This stamp is Daisy Friends and I've stamped it onto a watercoloured background and then used Promarkers to do a little colouring.

I've used an off cut of card for the main base and layered the stamped panel onto the darkest tone from the Wonderland 6x6 paper pack.

A dotted line with a fineliner black pen around the edge of the card base and stamped panel and the card is complete - really nice and quick to make and the stamps are wonderful to use - nice and crisp every time!

Hello Bouquet

Hope you're able to tune in to Hochanda today at 10am and 2pm as Nikky will be showcasing these wonderful Stampin' Unicorn products!  I've used Blossom Stamp Set, stamped onto two of the papers from the Butterfly Dreams 6x6 paper pack, which were odd pieces left over from previous projects as I don't like to throw any bits away!  Fussy cut out, added to the card with foam pads and then added some glass stone embellishments to the centres.

The sentiment is from the pack from a previous show - I've just added a hand drawn border around the edge and also a border around the edge of the card.

The DT were challenged to use Spring Colours and I've used this wonderful stamp set from Stampin' Unicorn called Heavenly Bluebells.  I've coloured them with Promarkers; the butterflies are from the Dotty Daisies stamp set (no longer available)  I've added a line of liquid pearl dots around the edge of both panels (Sizzix dies) and I printed the tag sentiments myself.  Embroidery thread from my stash.

A nice bright card to counterbalance the dreary weather!  I've used Stampin' Unicorn All About Daisy stamps and coloured them with Promarkers plus added dots with a white gel pen.

I've added a line of dotted liquid pearls around the edge of the card and then added the organza ribbon from my stash.

The flowers have been layered up with foam pads of varying heights.

Third Birthday

Here is a quick last minute card that I needed to make for a third birthday. I've used a pre coloured Lily of the Valley big square, trimmed it down to fit the card blank and used papers from Stampin' Unicorn - Butterfly Dreams 6x6 paper pack and the sentiment is also from Stampin' Unicorn - Bits and Pieces Sentiments.

I've added a line of glitter around the edge of the image, embroidery thread and charm are from my stash and the die cut number 3 is an unbranded metal die.
