Crimbo Crackers Challenge 138 - Cute

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme this fortnight is:

Cute

I've used Memory Box die cuts plus ribbon and a charm from my stash.  The tag has been handwritten and is a Sizzix die cut.  The image is from Buddly Crafts and I've coloured it with Promarkers.

I've used a sheet of acetate to create the card with a sheet of white card as the backing so any text written on it won't show through.  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Christmas at Sweet Stampin':  Christmas Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers:  One For The Boys  TOP FIVE
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge:  Anything Goes
The Holly and The Ivy:  Anything Goes

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 126 - Shaker Card

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Shaker Cards

I've used a cute digi image from Cuddly Buddly Crafts, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue.  I've not made many shaker cards before so its been a bit trial and error - I put too much shaker stuff (seed beads and some bargain 'snow' I bought a few years ago (big bag!) and I knew it would come in useful one day!)

I've used my Memory Box Frostyville Wreath die to cover the circle aperture (X Box die).  I cut two of the wreaths and joined them together (I think it took 1.5)  Tag is a Sizzix Scalloped Tag die and I've dotted liquid pearls around the edges.

Tiny stars are punched from left over bits of card and half pearls are from my stash along with the bakers twine.

Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

A Snowflakes Promise:  Anything Goes
Cards and More:  Pets and Furry Friends  WINNER

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 119 - Shaped Cards

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Shaped Cards

I've made a simple card using a great digi image from Cuddly Buddly - Sam Salt's Lilyboo Designs Christmas Buddies and coloured it with Promarkers and watercolour pencils; I've added a bit of glitter glue to the hat bobbles and glossy accents to the eyes.

Papers are rather old - DCWV  Christmas Wishes 6x6 multi stack.  The base layer of card is an off-cut from making a square card - I hate to throw them away!

Good luck with the challenge - for more details pop over to the blog!

I'd like to enter the following:

Simply Create Too Challenge - Valentines Day or Hearts

It's a new challenge over at Simply Create Too and the challenge theme for the fortnight is:

Valentines Day or Hearts

I've used a quick card kit from Cuddly Buddly - really easy to use - just print out the papers and add to the card blank as they are layered up ready to go!

I've used a fab image from Time For Tea Designs called Bubbles and coloured her with Promarkers plus some stickles. The little sentiment is also from Cuddly Buddly.

A great quick cardto make! Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Sentimental Sunday: Lovey Dovey

Girl With Bow

Here is the first of the two new releases this fortnight from Jellypark. This one is called Girl With Bow in her Hair. I've coloured her with Promarkers and then used a Spellbinder die to cut it out (I really do like this die!)

All the papers are from Funky Hand - Little Princess download and the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly. And finally, the buttons and thread are from my stash - rather pleased to find some that exactly matched the papers! And for once, I selected the papers and coloured the image accordingly - makes things a lot easier!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Fairy Tale Challenge: Bows
Frosted Friday: Polkadots
Aud Sentiments: Any Sentiment
Moving Along With The Times: Girly Cards
Inky Impressions: Pink and Girly

Jellypark Challenge - Give Thanks

I am rather late with this post. A week late, to be precise. However the challenge is still running for another week so not all is lost! The current Jellypark challenge is:

Give Thanks

And I've made this very quick card using a Cuddly Buddly download - you get 16 different 'card fronts' that print out to around 13cm square (or that's the size I make them) for only £2.49! I've then added a cute Jellypark image - Flowers In Vase digi stamp which I've coloured with Promarkers and added tiny amounts of stickles to the flower centres.

I've added a Sizzix die cut tag and I handwrote the sentiment. Embroidery thread is from my stash. Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Jellypark Challenge - Things That Fly

It's time for a new Jellypark challenge and apologies for the lateness of this post - got a lot going on at the moment and I could seriously work wonders with a few extra hours in the day!

The theme for the fortnight is:

Things That Fly

I've made a quick and easy card - the backing is from a set of downloads from Cuddly Buddly - its all printed on one layer and is made to look like its layered up! I've used a fab image from Jellypark - Cute Fairy With Wand, and she's been coloured with Promarkers and stickles on the wings.

All I've added are some half pearls to each corner and more stickles to the edge of the image.

Good luck with the challenge! The two new release images from Jellypark are also on a things that fly theme - I'll hopefully (if I get time!) will be blogging them over the next few days, along with the two new releases from the last time as I've just realised that I've not blogged them yet!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

In The Pink: KISS
Crafters Cafe: Bling and Sparkle
Paper Pretties: Girly
Cuttin' and Stampin': Monochromatic

Walking The Dog

Here is the other new release digi from Jellypark and this one is called Walking The Dog.  I've coloured it with Promarkers and the background was made with a rather faded and tatty blue inkpad which was perfect as it wasn't too dark!

I've cut the image out with a Nestie and then added it directly to the backing papers which are made to look like a layered card - its part of a download kit from Cuddly Buddly and I think they are great for quick cards!

We have some blackbirds that have nested in the back garden and its been lovely watching them collect bits of dead plants (yeah, I need to garden more often!) to make their nest and as I type this, one is hopping around (rather close to the open patio door - my computer is in the kitchen and looks out over the garden) collecting worms and other delicacies to eat.  Amazing how they pull the worms from the grass!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Elf

As well as running Crimbo Crackers in order to make sure I have plenty of Christmas cards and not to be panic stricken come November, I thought I'd do an extra festive card with this cute Sassy Cheryl image I bought from CraftsUPrint.  I came in a kit of 5 Sassy Cheryl images all pre-coloured for £3 which I thought was a bargain!

I've added it to some green printed card that I know I printed probably 6 or more years ago (and I've only just found it!) from one of the very first Funky Hand cd's - Yule Be Funky.  The other papers are offcuts (that I have had to be very clever with the joining!) from DCWV - The Christmas Stack 6x6 papers.

I've added some green Christmas ribbon from my stash and a snowflake charm.  I bought I think 50 of these charms a while ago and I keep looking at them thinking that either side is nice to show (one is more ornate than the other) but haven't really got round to using them!

The sentiment is a freebie from Cuddly Buddly and I've added some silver half pearls from my stash.  Stitching is all fake!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch and Stash:  Sketch followed
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long:  Anything Goes
Jingle Belles Rock:  Tie a Ribbon
Southern Girls:  Tic Tac Toe (Ribbon, Stripes, Charm)

Jellypark Challenge - Pretty Pastels

And here we go for the last blog post for today and it is the turn of the Jellypark challenge!  The theme for the fortnight is:

Pretty Pastels

Which would be perfect for this time of year except that here in Lancashire we have snow, and its snowing hard.  And its really windy. Great.

Anyway, I've used Hoopla Hannah and she is a charity stamp - so 100% of the sale goes towards Jellypark's charity of the year which is The Sick Children's Trust.  And at only £1.25 is a bargain plus you are contributing to a very worthwhile charity!  There are other charity stamps available too - and all just as cute!

I've coloured her with Promarkers and added glitter glue around the edge of the image and also on the heart on her t-shirt.

The background is all one layer and is printed from a kit from Cuddly Buddly - you get 16 in the kit for £2.49 and they are so easy to use - great for when you need a quick card!  And that's about it!

Good luck with the challenge - for more details pop over to Jellypark.  There are two new release stamps too this fortnight and I'll be blogging them at some point over the next week.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Southern Girls:  The Kids are Alright

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 29 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for this fortnight is a nice and easy one:

Anything Goes

As long as its Christmas or Festive related!  I've got a Guest Designer joining me for the challenge who was a previous challenge winner, so please pop over to Crimbo Crackers and then to her blog to say hello!

I've no sponsor for the challenge but I'm offering two lucky entrants the chance to be future Guest Designers and its struck me that I need to design a GD badge for the blog too - will have to coax the boys into the Santa hats again!

I've made a wordbook from the new Funky Hand download - Stylish Tree wordbook which is part of the Oh Come All Ye Crafters collection.  Although it looks a little complicated it really isn't!  Each of the large letters are printed onto A4 card (I print on a base paper on the reverse too) and then cut them out!  The edges of the letters have been glittered with gold glitter glue, I've added Sizzix Roundabout die cut letters (and glittered these) and then the ribbon (to hold the join bits) and some die cuts.

I've used a Marianne Creatables Poinsettia die from Cuddly Buddly, layering it up with silicone glue (I am so rubbish at keeping up with trends as this was the first time I've used silicone glue!!) plus a bit of glitter to the centre and edges of the petals.  I've also added a swirly Marianne Creatables die too behind it.

The ribbons are from my stash - the gold one I bought a few years ago in the January sales from B&Q - Jacob helped me pick out the bargain ribbon bundles!

Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Craft Room Challenge:  Punches and Die Cuts
Holly Jolly Christmas:  3 R's - Red, Ric Rac and Ribbon (and really glittery!)
Try It On Tuesday:  Christmas Sparkle
The Paper Girls: Christmas
Paper Creator:  All About Christmas

Papers:  Stylish Tree wordbook download from Funky Hand
Dies:  Sizzix Roundabout alphabet, Marianne Creatables Poinsettia and Swirly leaf

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 35

I've had one of those weekends where the best laid plans just went west!  I had planned to work from home on Friday instead of going to the office, which was a good job as Samuel woke up with a sore tummy and then was unable to keep anything down all day including water.  He was a rather odd shade of green too and did a good job of co-ordinating with his combat pj's!

So my plans for having an afternoon of colouring at my parents whilst the boys were entertained (Jacob was planning on practicing the keyboard as he's now doing keyboard lessons at school and I think Samuel would have done some baking) just did not happen on Saturday.  Jacob had a football match in the morning (they lost 5-10) so he needed a bath when we got home (and I got bit by midgies so I look a bit like I have chicken pox......) and then I had to go and do the food shopping which should have been done Friday night.

In between running here there and everywhere and trying to catch up on the washing, I did manage a little bit of crafting but nowhere as much as I anticipated!  Samuel is now fine and his appetite is back to normal so just waiting to see who gets it next as its rife at school!  I'm hoping that if it is me, I'm still well enough to craft!

Anyway!  It's time for another Fetch A Sketch challenge! This fortnight, Jenny has set the sketch and because it is October we are also asking for some pink to be added. here is the sketch:

We are also sponsored by Cuddly Buddly - I am a big fan of their customer service (which is second-to-none!) and they have a great physical and digital product range!  The winner of this challenge will have £10 to spend instore!

I've used one of the digi's from the store and coloured it with Promarkers plus some stickles here and there.  Papers are from my stash - can't remember the make as they've been lying around for some time!

I've used an X Cut die for the fancy shape and added a pink gel pen dotted line around the edges, some ribbon from my stash, along with a little button slider and some pearls. I've dotted liquid pearls around the edges of the card and the two central panels.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details pop over to Fetch A Sketch!

Jellypark Challenge - Pink It Up!

Time for another Jellypark challenge!  October is officially Pinktober amongst the Jellypark girlies and because of this we want to see your creations that:

Pink It Up!

I seem to be on a roll again with the rather quick and very pretty pre printed backgrounds from Cuddly Buddly and I've added a line of liquid pearls around the edge of the card and also the image.

The image is a previous Jellypark club freebie (see what you are missing out on!) and she's been coloured with Promarkers and her dress has been spotted with liquid pearls too.  She is a cutie!

If you didn't manage to get hold of the image, don't worry, but you will have to be patient!  It will be available to buy at some point in the future in the Jellypark shop.  If you sign up right now to the Jellypark club there are a bundle of freebies available but be quick!

Simply Create Too Challenge 23 Midway Extra - Autumn

We are at the halfway point of the current Simply Create Too challenge and the theme is:

Autumn

I've once again gone for a quick and easy option (plus I thought the colours really fitted the challenge!) and used a card panel from Cuddly Buddly.  The image is from The Stamping Boutique and I think it may have been retired as I can't find it!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and splodges of stickles.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details go to Simply Create Too!

Little Blue Bird

Here is the second new release digi stamp from Jellypark which was released last Friday and its called Quirky Bird.

I've coloured him (because he does look like a him!) with Aquamarkers - and then cut him out along with the sentiment with a circle Nestie.  I've used another quick card front from Cuddly Buddly which are a godsend when trying to be quick or if inspriation is lacking!

I've added a fine line of blue gel pen dots around the edge of the image to finish it off and that's it!

Jellypark Stamp Spotlight - Girl and Cake

Each week in between the challenges and new release stamps, at Jellypark we feature one of the stamps from the store as a spotlight feature.  And this week it is the turn of this stamp:

Girl and Cake.  Which, is only £1.25 in the store!  I've coloured her with Promarkers plus lashings of stickles on top of the cake for rather delicious icing!

The card base is actually a pre-printed one and it is all one layer and its from Cuddly Buddly.  I drew around one of my circle Nesties and then cut the image out as her feet and hair bow slightly protruded from the circle and I didn't want to cut them off!

I've added some half pearls to the sides of the card and that is it!

I'll be back tomorrow (after the football match that Jacob is playing in and I hope it doesn't rain!) with a card using the freebie stamp that you can snag if you join the Jellypark Club.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Jellypark Challenge - Summer Bugs

It's time for a new Jellypark challenge! And the theme this fortnight is

Summer Bugs

Here is a little cutie - Butterfly Girl - coloured with Aquamarkers plus stickles on her wings, she has been added to another fab background and card all in one from Cuddly Buddly.  Although the papers look layered they aren't - its all flat!

So quite a quick card to be honest!  Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the Design Team's inspiration for the challenge!

There are two fab new release stamps too but I'll be showing my creations off with the new stamps over the weekend.  Otherwise I think blogger will have a Friday meltdown with the number of posts I'd have to create and publish!

Simply Create Too Challenge 19 MIDWAY EXTRA - Anything Goes!

It's time for the Midway Extra post and inspiration for the Simply Create Too challenge! The theme this fortnight is:

Anything Goes

I've made a simple and quick card using a Jellypark image which is one of the Little Havens fundraising stamps - all the profits go to the charity and at only £1.25 its a bargain!   It's been coloured with Promarkers and I've made the sky with a rather tatty and worn blue inkpad - but it still does the job!  The green was also done with a rather old and tatty ink pad!

I've added stickles around the edge of the image and also some liquid pearl dots around the frill and the bottom half of the card too.  The card backing is one complete image although it does look layered and its from Cuddly Buddly.

Good luck with the challenge!

Jellypark Stamp Spotlight - Nan and Grandad

On the Friday in between challenges, at Jellypark we have a stamp spotlight where the Design Team pick a favourite and we make something with it!  And this week we are using Nan and Grandad on Sofa (only £1.25 in the store and you can get a discount code if you join the Jellypark club!)

I've coloured it with Promarkers and then cut around the image, adding it to a Cuddly Buddly pre printed card blank.  I thought it looked a bit Christmassy with the reds!  I've simply added some rather ancient paper Ponsettia flowers and even older gold accent beads.

If you like the image and want to see more inspiration, just pop over to the Jellypark challenge blog!  I think this will be my last post of today!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Swinging!

I'm a tad late in showing this card to you as it was a Jellypark new release last Friday! Where has the week gone?!  This is Girl on a Swing and I've coloured her with Promarkers plus a little liquid pearls on her dress (you will have to take my word for it!) and I used a worn blue inkpad to create the background.

I've used my Nesties circle die to cut her out and then she is layered directly onto a pre printed panel which looks like it is layered but it isn't!  Totally fab for quick cards!  There are 16 different fronts to print from the download from Cuddly Buddly - I think I will be using this quite a lot!

The other new release will be along soonish as Fridays are always a busy day for posts for me!!

If you've not joined the Jellypark club yet, why not?!  It's free, you get fab Jellypark freebies, special discount codes and a whole lot more!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
