Crimbo Crackers Challenge 216 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

I've used a pillow box die cut to cut the two boxes from white pearlescent card.  The sentiments have been stamped onto oval die cuts and then ribbon from my stash made into a bow.  Still got some of the Primark little baubles so have added some to the gift boxes!

Good luck with the challenge!

I've used a pillow box die and a sheet of A4 kraft card plus a Polkadoodles clear acrylic stamp that is no longer available.  The sentiment was stamped onto an oval die cut, using left overs of the kraft card.

Ribbon is from my stash along with the half pearls and the little baubles are from Primark a few years ago that I need to use up!

Time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme this week is

Baubles and Bows

I've made a pillow box from an A4 sheet of kraft card, and from the off cuts I die cut a tag using one of the Posydoodles Basics Oval dies and used one of the now retired acrylic stamps.  I've added some half pearls to the bottom of the tag and the ribbon is from my stash.

The two baubles I got in a box of 30 from Primark a few years ago for a few pounds and are perfect for projects like this!

Anything Goes

I've used my Sizzix box die to create this and I used a sheet of Kraft card to cut it.  The baubles I bought a few years ago from Primark and added a wooden snowflake and large gem to hide where I added the baubles.

The band is a scrap piece from a previous project - I keep all my scraps because you just never know when you will need them!  Good luck with the challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 180 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme, as always is

Anything Goes

I've made two little gift boxes using my Sizzix die and two sheets of A4 kraft card.  The bands slide off and are off cuts I found in my stash (both are Funky Hand) although I had to piece them together as the strips were not long enough!

The baubles are left over from 2017 gift decorating and are from Primark (30 for £2) and I choose the papers to match the baubles.  Wooden snowflakes and large gems are also from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Daring Card Makers - Christmas Decoration

Welcome to a new Daring Card Makers challenge!  The theme this week is:

Christmas Decoration

I've made a Christmas Tree table decoration which is actually a box and I've used papers from Polkadoodles - Snowtime Like Christmas 6x6 paper stack.  The large fancy snowflake die is also from Polkadoodles and I've used some burgundy card from my stash to cut it.

The half pearl and gold braid are from my stash and the bauble is from a pack of little ones I bought last year from Primark to add to gift boxes and it fitted the colour scheme well.  The bow on the top of the bauble is ribbon from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Christmas Stocking

Polkadoodles has a One Day Special on Hochanda today and tomorrow (3 and 4 August) and it's all about Christmas!!

Here is one of the many samples I made and I've used papers from the Ho Ho Ho Christmas paper 6x6 pad and used my own stocking template.  I've added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edges of the stocking and also the paper bow; the top of the stocking has been cut from felt.

The three little baubles are from my stash - I bought a few boxes of tree decorations last year from Primark as I knew they would come in handy for cardmaking and at £2 for 30 baubles it seemed daft not to!

I've made some more of the cute gift boxes using a Sizzix box die with ivory hammered card.  The patterened paper I found in my stash and I've added a little Sizzix scalloped gift tag to each.  The holly and berries I took from another Christmas gift tag and I made the bow by adding a little tree ornament from Primark

Daring Card Makers - Let's Do Digi

It's Friday, 9am so time for another Daring Card Makers Challenge!  The theme this week is

Let's Do Digi

So digi papers, digi image or a combination of the two!!

I've used two different digi images - the background is a no longer available stamp from Jelly Park and the female is from Kenny K - Happy Hour which is also no longer available.  I've coloured them both with Promarkers, added sparkle to the glass and added the pavement myself.

The bags are made from offcuts of brown paper with real handles (both recycled Primark bags!) and I've added tissue paper inside for depth.  For those with keen eyes, the bag logos are Manchester City and I kept the colour theme throughout as the card was for a fan!

The sentiment dies are from Clearly Besotted.  Good luck for the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Daring Card Makers - Elemental Inspiration

I did a stint at the start of last year as a Guest Designer for Daring Card Makers which I loved so imagine how long it took me to reply when I was asked if I'd like to join the team permanently?!  Not that long, I can tell you!

This is my first 'full time' challenge and as its the first Friday challenge of the month, its an inspiration challenge and the requirement is to use at least three elements from the photo:

I've used papers that I found in my stash when having a clear out and a tidy up over Christmas - they are from the now not available Funky Hand - Now That's Funky cd - Coffee With Pals collection.  I only had small pieces of the printed sheets so had to be creative with what I had!

I've used handles from a Primark bag plus coloured offcuts of card with Promarkers so the die cut flowers would match the colour pallet.  The charm is from my stash along with the half white pearls and I've used a Cuttlebug die for the lettering.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Not A Card

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme, as always is

Anything Goes

The Design Team were challenge to make something other than a card and I've made these cute crackers and gift boxes using papers from Winnie White Christmas and added sparkly thin tinsel plus some really cute tree baubles I bought from Primark.  The tops of the baubles came off really easy with a twist (well, what do you expect when you're getting 30 for £2?!) and I used glossy accents to stick them to the boxes and crackers.

I made the bows with offcuts of card (so not to waste anything) and put some treats inside the boxes and crackers.  They were actually quite quick to make - just had to be patient with the glossy accents drying!

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 147 - Boxes

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Boxes

I've made these cute gift boxes with a Sizzix box die - really easy as all I needed to do was score, fold and stick! The card is a lovely hammered effect which looks a bit snowy!  I've added gift tags from the offcuts with another Sizzix die and the bows have been made with card I found in my stash and added mini glittered baubles that I bought from Primark.

The clasp bit at the top of the bauble came off really easily so I was able to glue the flat bit directly to the centre of the bow.  And as luck would have it, the baubles matched papers from my stash!

Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodle Challenge 10 - Distressing

Time for another Polkadoodle challenge!  And this week the theme is:

Distressing

And I've actually incorporated a used tea bag and splodged it all over the Wonderland papers!  I printed the papers as A6 sized and then added to a card blank which has also been splodged with a wet tea bag.  I've added some faux stitching around the edges plus some seed beads and half pearls.

The flowers are made from a recycled Primark bag along with the handle (I must have had the bag a while as the handles are different now!)  I've added some bright pink tissue paper to the followers and seed beads to the centres.  Hat pin is from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Hey, Cupcake!

Wow! The weather has been fantastic today and just look how blue the sky is in my photo! And it was taken at around 7am this morning!

This card has been made with the cupcake template A5 size from Polkadoodles Paper Boutique Vol 3. If you ever need cards in a hurry or want to watch a film on telly but don't want to sit doing nothing then this is the cd for you! I have a stack of printed templates and then when I sit in front of the telly, I cut out all night and before I know it, I have five or six finished!

I've added all the layers with foam pads then glittered the bottom of the cake and also the cream on the top. The stars have been glossy accented and the star sentiment came with the template - I've added a dotted line of silver and the glitter glue.

The ribbon is, believe it or not, from Primark! There are three ribbons on the card and I think about 2 meters of each. So 6 meters for a quid is pretty good going! I've left it long on purpose as it holds the front and back of the card together and it will need to be undone to be written inside.

This card fits the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft: Cooking Up A Storm
Creative Stamp Friends: Dots
Crazy Amigo Challenge: Cupcakes
Craftroom Challenge: Summer Birthday (logo and link to shop in sidebar!)
Crafts and Me Challenges: Birthday
Aud Sentiments: Food / Drink Theme

  • Ribbon: Primark

This Old House

A great theme this week on Tiddly Inks:

Stitching

Now I really did think I'd do this with my little sewing machine, but I've had a tidy up and can't quite remember where I put it. So all that you see on this card is faux - I've used a fine black pen for the dots and then just joined them up.

The brown paper was a Primark carrier bag as I popped in yesterday (got a girly summer top for me, two pairs of shorts for Samuel and a fab bargain sweatshirt top / jacket for £2!) and I screwed it up, flattened it out and did the faux stitching bit.

I've added some jute twine from the kitchen drawer and a charm I found in my stash - not got a clue where it came from! Oh, and the image has been coloured with Promarkers and then added to the card with foam pads. Simple!

The weather is beautiful - we've had a trip to Martin Mere (went on the new canoe safari!) and then onto Southport but the boys are slowly working their way through all the Easter Eggs! Pictures from the canoe safari to follow later! And no, we didn't fall in!
