Cute Hedgies

This is a cute image from Createful Heart Digi stamps and its currently a freebie as part of a facebook challenge on their page!  This is called Up, Up and Away.  The image and sketch are posted in the group and you have 5 days to send a message to request it, colour it up, use the sketch and then post it in the challenge album.

I've never participated before but I don't think this will be the first time!  I've coloured the image with Promarkers with a background of coloured pencils.  I've cut the image with a die and then layered it over the gingham ribbon.

I've added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edges of the card and the image.  I'd like to enter the following:

Night Nurse Nina

Night Nurse Nina from Dr Digi is probably going to give you night terrors especially looking at the size of the needle!  I've coloured her with Promarkers and then layered her onto a lined sheet of paper from a notepad.

The die cut across the bottom I coloured with Promarkers prior to cutting and the stethoscope charm and embroidery thread are from my stash.

I've used Beanie Girl and coloured her up with Promarkers and then used papers that I found in my stash - for once I actually picked the papers before I coloured the image!  I had a clear out over Christmas and found lots of printed papers that I'd forgotten I had, so I'm determined to use them up!

Daring Card Makers - Stencilled Green - Spring

Welcome to a new Daring Card Makers challenge!  The theme for the week is:

Stencilled Green - Spring

This took me out of my comfort zone and spent some time trying to decide what I was going to do.  I already had some spray inks that had been donated to me by a fellow crafter who was having a clear out, however there wasn't a green!  So I bought one specially for the challenge!  So this one is Lime Burst Cosmic Shimmer.

I used the Hello Sentiment die from Polkadoodles and cut it 3 times, glued it together so I had a decent and study stencil.  I then placed it on the card panel and sprayed!  Quite pleased how it turned out as I was expecting a disaster on my first attempt!

I found some acrylic not quite clear flowers in my stash so I've added them along with some silver balls I also found.  To finish, I've inked the edge of the panel with distress inks and then layered it onto the card blank.

The DT were challenged to use Spring Colours and I've used this wonderful stamp set from Stampin' Unicorn called Heavenly Bluebells.  I've coloured them with Promarkers; the butterflies are from the Dotty Daisies stamp set (no longer available)  I've added a line of liquid pearl dots around the edge of both panels (Sizzix dies) and I printed the tag sentiments myself.  Embroidery thread from my stash.

Emogeez Happy

It's beginning to look a bit more like Spring and here is Emogeez Happy from Dr Digi that will hopefully put a spring in your step!

You get two designs on the sheet of A4 plus extras so I enlarged an then cut this one out, adding some X cut stars with card from my stash and some stiff red parcel twine.

The Paper Girls Guest Designer - Black and White

A while back I won one of The Paper Girls challenges and was asked to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge!  Well, that challenge is here and the theme is

I've used a Sizzix die which is really lovely to use and cuts great!  The white card is linen effect and I've added a black panel behind to show off the detail.  Half pearls are from my stash and I've handwritten the sentiment.

All About Daisy

A nice bright card to counterbalance the dreary weather!  I've used Stampin' Unicorn All About Daisy stamps and coloured them with Promarkers plus added dots with a white gel pen.

I've added a line of dotted liquid pearls around the edge of the card and then added the organza ribbon from my stash.

The flowers have been layered up with foam pads of varying heights.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or New Beginnings

It's Friday so time for a new Polkadoodle challenge!  The theme, as always is:

The DT were challenged with a theme of New Beginnings.  I've used Winnie Celebrations 2 kit and coloured her up with Promarkers then cut her out.  The papers are also from the same collection and I had to be clever with piecing them together as they were left overs from a previous project but as I don't like to throw anything away, they were going to get used!

I've also used the Fluffy Cloud Dies - generally to hide the paper joins!  And to finish, I've added a faux running stitch around the edge of the card with a black fine liner pen and the organza and satin ribbons are from my stash.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 152 - Anything Goes

This is a Christmas / Festive only challenge.  I've had a dig around in my stash (I buy all sorts of things that I can potentially use in the January sales!) and found this wooden jumper which was a Christmas tree decoration.

I've embossed a panel of card with a Sizzix embossing folder and then cut it and the co-ordinating papers - Let It Snow 12 x 12 papers - with a wavy stitched line die.  I've added a bakers twine bow plus a handwritten Sizzix tag and half pearls from my stash.

Birthday Boy

I treated myself to some new digi stamps the other day from Lily of The Valley as they had an offer on (would be rude not to!)  This one is Oliver - Film Night and I've coloured him with Promarkers plus coloured pencils.

The papers are from my stash and are offcuts from previous projects as I'm trying to use everything up that I have (will take some time!)

The sentiment is an X Cut die along with the smallest star - the larger stars are also X Cut.

I made this card for a work colleague who had recently got engaged - they both did like the card!  I've used Rub A Dub Dub from Dr Digi, coloured it with Promarkers and used papers from my stash.

Simple Hello

A quick card from me today!  Made using left over card from my cousin's wedding 5 years ago - the card is actually two separate paces of card that I've glued together at the left edge.  The Polkadoodles Hello die was cut from one of the embossed invitations that was left over - you can't see the embossed word as I was clever in how I cut the word!

I cut the word three times and then glued them together so its more chunkier.  The half pearls were from my stash - bought a while ago but then put away as they were a bit too teeny for what I needed but worked perfectly this time!

Hello all!  Just hoping that this isn't me on Tuesday, although I've been rather successful in previous years when making pancakes!  I've used Pancake Oopsy digi stamp from Polkadoodles which I've coloured with Promarkers.  Sentiment is from the co-ordinating sentiment pack.

Quick valentines card made using the Emogeez Luv image from Dr Digi plus spotty papers I found in my stash.  I added the X Cut die hearts with wire and added a faux running stitch around the edges with a black fine liner pen.

Daring Card Makers - Elemental Inspiration

It's Friday so time for another Daring Card Makers challenge!  As its the first Friday of the month it's time for an elemental inspiration and here is the inspiration:

And here is the card I made using the colours, hearts and the flamingo.

I treated myself to a daylight lamp over Christmas and wondered why I never got one before as its given me so much extra time to craft in the evenings especially as its been dark a fair few hours by the time I get home from work in an evening!  And as it happened, this little flamingo die popped into my shopping basket too and as it was only a few pound it was fine!

It's an X Cut die and I've layered the wings and added an eye plus heavily glittered the middle flamingo and added the scarf and boots too.  Each flamingo I coloured with promarkers as I didn't have enough range of pinks in scrap card to use.  The sentiment is handwritten.

The card blank I made especially to fit some envelopes that were originally with a set of Christmas cards that I bought a few years ago in the sales - I buy these just for the envelopes!
