It's time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge and this time we are sponsored by Bugaboo and the theme is

Autumn / Halloween

I've used Heels Witches Shoe and coloured it up with Promarkers.  The papers are from a no longer available download - Spooky Dookie from Funky Hand and I am trying really hard to use up everything I have in my stash that I've had for some time!

I only had small pieces of some of the papers so had to be creative with them!  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Happy Bug Day!

Here is one of the new release digi stamps from Jellypark from a fortnight ago - I totally forgot to blog it and the other stamp so that will probably follow tomorrow!  This one is called Bug Boy or Alien and he's been coloured with Promarkers plus dabs of liquid pearls here and there.

The papers are all from Funky Hand - Spooky Dookie download (yes, its a halloween collection but the colours were just what I was looking for!)

The letters have been cut with a Sizzix alphabet die - Girls are Weird and I've used some silver offcut of card that I found in my stash.  A bit of doodling around the edges and the card is complete!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Dude Time Doodles - October New Release & Blog Hop!

It's the last Wednesday of the month so its time to reveal the new Dude Time Doodles images and to kick it all off we have a blog hop for you!

One of the Dudettes will be the hostess with the mostest and one lucky commenter will win a digi image! So make sure you leave me a comment - I've not yet been the hostess so this could be the one!!

If you've arrived at me from Michelle then you are on the right track although there is no start and end point, just make sure you've visited us all! From me you need to hop to NanaConnie and leave a comment there too!!

It's a double whammy from me this month as I've been given two images to work with! First us is Fanny She Devil looking rather bewitching in a fetching orange overcoat. All coloured with Promarkers plus red glitter glue for her hair. Papers are from Funky Hand - Spooky Dookie download and I've made the sentiment myself on the pc. Everything else is from my stash.

And next up is Grim Grisham again coloured with Promarkers. All the papers are from my stash and I've added some faux stitching but that is a real bandage!

Good luck with the hop and don't forget to leave a comment! Once I'm awake I'll directly link to the blogs in the hop before and after me!

I'd like to enter my cards into the following challenges:

Dare You Rattle My Chains?!

Its search for a Guest Designer time over at Dude Time Doodles! And its really easy to join in too - all you have to do is pop over to the challenge blog and snag the freebie on offer, make something with it, blog it, link it back to Dude Time Doodles and you just never know - it could be you!

Gavin Ghost is the freebie and I've coloured him with Aquamarkers and turned him into a doorhanger.
The papers and mini letters are from Spooky Dookie download from Funky Hand and I've added some bat embellishments (made by me!) and some Sizzix die cut ghosties all with wobbly eyes!

And not forgetting the bandage - cheaper the better and I do get some odd looks when trying to work out if its crepe or cotton weave!

Good luck with the Guest Designer hunt! I'd like to enter my doorhanger in the following challenges:

Haunted House Designs: Kreepy Kids (doorhanger for one of them!)

Send A Smile For Kids: Anything Goes (for kids)

Peas On Earth

I'm on a mission to make Christmas cards despite the sunshine (well, in between the thundery showers anyway!) Plus I've added a ticker countdown at the top of my blog as I'm attempting to create 100 Christmas cards before November.... And November 2011 too!

I found a new challenge blog (new to me) which is Christmas Stampin' and the challenge this week is:

Make Us Laugh

This Whimsie Doodles image always makes me giggle, so perfect for the challenge! I've coloured it with Promarkers plus stickles on the fluffy bits on the hats. I've used some red and silver card from my stash for layering plus a left over bit of Spookie Dookie download from Funky Hand.

I've used a Nestie to draw around to make the shape, plus I've dotted a fine black line around the edge of the image. Card candy and ribbon from my stash.

So that is one down, 80 to go.....!

Dino Sore

I'd been asked to make, at short notice, a card for one of my cousins to-be-nephews who has broken both wrists on the first day of his Easter school holidays! Eeekkkk! So in need of a sketch that would fit the image (Dustin Pike, coloured with Promarkers) I found the current Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and because I'd not managed a challenge for a while, I thought it a great way of combining the need for the card and the challenge!

All the papers are from Funky Hand - Spookie Dookie Halloween download (see how I'm trying to use up ALL the bits in my bits box?!) and I've simply inked the edges with black ink and doodled a fine black line around them too. String is from my stash.

So hope the poor lad likes his card and gets better soon!

That's Not My Hand!

Over on Dude Time Doodles it's time for Fill The Guest Designer Spot where you get a freebie image to play with, make a creation, link it up with the blog and you just never know, you may get picked to play along with the Dudettes for a month!

The freebie this week is Bobby Bubbles who, along with his rubber ducky is enjoying the bathtub, when along came a............aaaaaggh!!!

I've used the image to make my card for the Cards For Men Challenge which asks for

Water

It's been coloured with Promarkers, edges inked and then dotted with a blue gel pen. The backing papers - perfect spotty match, (and even better as they were still lying on the table from a few projects ago!) are from Dreams Come True from Funky Hand. The little letters are also from Funky Hand but the Spooky Dookie download. A bit of faux stitching around the edges and the card is complete.

Hope you can join in the quest for a Guest Designer spot - and what better way to get a Dude Time Doodles freebie!

Cute or Scary?!

I've made this little monster from my own template and used papers from the new Funky Hand download Spooky Dookie which has papers that can be used not just for Halloween!

The card fits with the Let's Ink It Up challenge which asks for

Halloween Colours

The only bit of ink (if you don't count the liberal amounts around the edges of the monster!) is the little Stampin' Up sentiment stamp which was sent to me in a swop by Jenny (thank you!)

I've added some big wobbly eyes rescued from an old project Jacob made at nursery and then hand cut all the other shapes. The spots are from a hole punch - my cutting out skills are not that good!

No Girls Allowed!

Now this was going to be something completely different for the Sassy Cheryl challenge this week which is:

Add Some Dimension

I was going to make a card with the image I'd coloured with Promarkers and at the last moment decided to make a door hanger! The dark blue card from my stash was ideal as it was quite thick and didn't need to be doubled to add thickness and strength.

I've punched holes around the aperture and added some string for interest. The three silver stars are table confetti (although quite chunky!) and the lettering is from the new Funky Hand download Spooky Dookie as I really like the ransom note style lettering (although you could punch them out too).

I've inked the edges with black ink and the image has been layered onto some bright blue and then black card, although it doesn't really show in the photo - just take my word for it!

Dare You Enter?!

Sometimes when I see a challenge I know exactly what I am going to make, and for the Moving Along With The Times challenge this was no exception!

This weeks challenge is:

Anything But A Card

As I had the brand new Halloween download from Funky Hand - Spooky Dookie to play with, I knew I wanted to make a door hanger. I've used a chipboard template for the actual shape (which I drew round) and printed directly onto a sheet of 270gsm white card which I glued back to back.

I've inked the edges and added here and there some black card candy - not sure if you can quite see it in the photo. The ransom style letters are also from the download and I've inked them too.

Both the tombstone and mummy are Sizzix die cuts - I've added the letters on the tombstone with liquid pearls and the little mummy is wrapped with bandage. Really quick and easy to do - the longest part is waiting for it all to dry!

Spooky Dookie is a fab download and it can be used not only for Halloween as there are some non Halloween type sheets too!

  • Dies: Sizzix Sizzlets tombstone and Sizzix body die

Spooky Purple!!

A great sketch from Card Patterns this week:

Although I've flipped the semi circles - not intentional, I just glued them wrong and didn't realise until it was too late!

All the coloured papers are from the new Funky Hand download - Spooky Dookie which was released over the weekend. A great set of papers including alphas and a topper page which proves that Halloween papers are not just for one night of the year, but can be used for all year around!

I've used black card from my stash for the layering and the spooky ghosties are Sizzix die cuts which I've inked a little and added wobbly eyes.

  • Black card: My stash
