Santa and His Stockings

What were you thinking with that title?! And yes, its another Christmas card! This time I've used two different papers from Funky Hand - the blue and green is from Funky Daze cd and the red spotty one is from Rainbow Polkadots download. The image is from Bugaboo and I've coloured it with Promarkers plus some glitter glue on his hat and cuffs.


The red ribbon is an offcut from the Scrap Store that I've had for ages, plus some pom pom trim (Christmas decoration of course!) a couple of buttons from my stash with thread tied through the centre and a sentiment I found in my stash too.I've used the Jingle Belles Rock sketch and it also fits the following challenges:

Santa Gift Card's

Here are some gift card holders that I've made! I actually made four more but with different papers and stamps but haven't yet finished them off so will blog those at some point in the future!


I've used papers from Polkadoodles Paper Boutique Vol 2 - Christmas Creative and printed on both sides of the card. I've used my own template so I knew I could get two from a sheet of A4. I've added ribbon as the closure and a blank piece of card inside so the message can be written.

The Santa is a stamp also from Polkadoodles which has been coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue. And I've used a Nestie shape to layer it on.

Quite quick and easy to make once I'd worked out the template! They fit the following challenges:

Retro Christmas

In an attempt to use up some of the scraps I already have lying around (well, actually they are in clear folders labelled with the collection / download name...!!) I've made this card for the Jingle Belles challenge which is:

Use Three Different Patterned Papers

You can just see the third paper inside the aperture - on the left and right. I've used papers from Funky Hand - All I Want For Xmas download including the sentiment.

I've inked edges and added a faux running stitch line around the red spotty card. The aperture has been cut with a Nesties die. The red suede ribbon came from a fancy gift tag that I've recycled - would seem rude not to as it was too lovely to throw away!

Peas On Earth

I'm on a mission to make Christmas cards despite the sunshine (well, in between the thundery showers anyway!) Plus I've added a ticker countdown at the top of my blog as I'm attempting to create 100 Christmas cards before November.... And November 2011 too!

I found a new challenge blog (new to me) which is Christmas Stampin' and the challenge this week is:

Make Us Laugh

This Whimsie Doodles image always makes me giggle, so perfect for the challenge! I've coloured it with Promarkers plus stickles on the fluffy bits on the hats. I've used some red and silver card from my stash for layering plus a left over bit of Spookie Dookie download from Funky Hand.

I've used a Nestie to draw around to make the shape, plus I've dotted a fine black line around the edge of the image. Card candy and ribbon from my stash.

So that is one down, 80 to go.....!
