Wanna Hop Along?!

Who loves Blog Hops?! There is a new one that will run each month and is called

The Digi Blog Hop!

If you've come from Laura's blog then you're at the right place! If not, continue to read and then click on the first name on the list to start hopping!

It's really easy to take part, simply start at the beginning and hop along to each of the blogs listed collecting a letter as you go along. The hop starts on the first Monday of each month and you have until the 25th of the month to enter.

Collect a letter from each member of the Blog Hop team, leave a comment on their blog hop post and move onto the next blog in the list. Address Book

I've altered an existing address book which had a rather uninspiring cover which was certainly needed to be changed! I've coloured a Michelle Perkett image with Promarkers which I received as part of the Special 50/50 stamping group, which is being relaunched very soon and will include a blog hop - so check back with my blog for more details in the near future!

Anything Goes

I've covered the address book with a sheet of 12x12 paper which I don't know where it is from as its not named! I've layered the image onto corresponding coloured card and then added a satin ribbon underneath and a bow.

The lettering on the bottom has been cut with a Cuttlebug Baby Face alphabet set.

A bit of inking around the edges and the address book is complete! Apologies for the washed out photos, but the light was terrible this morning before I left - the colours in real life are quite vibrant!

Octopus

I'm really liking the sketches on challenge blogs at the moment! Here is the current one from Sketch Saturday:
I've used papers from Funky Daze from Funky Hand (this must be the best collection colourway ever!) which I've rounded the edges and inked. The image, coloured with Promarkers, is from Stamping Dragon Designs and was one of the July images I got for being part of the Special 50/50 Digital Stamping Group.

The sentiment tile is a magazine freebie from a long time ago and the colours matched perfectly, and the three little fishes are beads and I've also had these a long long time!

Such a cute octopus eh?!

Reindeer

The challenge set this week by Passion For Promarkers is a theme and it is:

I've used this cute Stamping Boutique image which I got as part of the Special 50/50 stamping group. I've coloured it with Promarkers and layered it onto red and green base card.


The printed backing paper is from an 8x8 stack from Dovecraft - Ho Ho Ho - that I've had a number of years and I'm not sure if I like it or not so it doesn't get used too often! The organza ribbon is from my stash and it actually matches the dark green layer perfectly! The jump ring and bell are also from my stash.

I'm slowly beginning to make a dent in all the Christmas cards that I need to make for the events I have coming up from late September onwards. In my opinion, you can never have enough Christmas cards anyway!

Simple Doodles Challenge 20 - Summer Fun

It's time for a Simple Doodles challenge! This week the theme is:

Summer Fun

I've used a cute little image from Michelle Perkett Studio which I received as part of the 50 / 50 Stamping Group. I've coloured it with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue, which because the photo is a particularly poor one, you cannot see too well!

I've used papers from Funky Daze - which I printed when my ink was running out so they do not show their true colour! I've added some ribbon from my stash - generously donated by Lynsey some time ago! Plus I've added some hat pins which I've added my own beads to.

Doodle Like Claire

Which I've flipped on it's side and made this card:

I've used papers from my stash box (have a feeling they are Funky Hand but not sure which collection!) and I've used an image from Hope Jacare which I got as part of the 50/50 stamping group. I've coloured it with Promarkers and inked the edge.

I drew around a Nestabilities die twice for the shape of the image so that is why it is an unusual shape!

Ribbon is from my stash, and I've attempted to doodle around the edges as Claire does!

Apologies for the short post, but I've not long been home after arriving back from Blackpool Zoo and the nursery trip - photos to follow and a good time was had by all - I'm just shattered!

I've made this sweet good luck card as a work colleague is moving to pastures new in the next few weeks. The image is a freebie I got as part of the 50/50 Stamping Group and is from Soft Pencil. I've coloured it with Promarkers with a little glitter glue over the flowers for a bit of sparkle.

The backing papers are from Funky Hand - the pale pink is from The Funky One and the spotty paper from Funky Daze. I've handwritten the sentiment and used ribbon from my stash. I've also doodled around the edges of the image, sentiment and spotty papers.

Soooooo Yummy!

Second post for me today, only because I forgot to blog yesterday! This card is for the Rosie Dee challenge which is:

Sooooo Yummy!

The digi image is from Mama's Kitchen and I've coloured it with Promarkers and some inking (or rather splodges). The red card is from my stash and I've had it that long I can't actually remember where it came from but it is a sort of shiny red card. What ever the technical term for that would be.

The printed backing papers are from an old copy of Papercraft Inspirations which I downloaded and then can print off as I don't like the shiny thin quality of the actual freebie papers that come with the magazine. The sentiment is also from the download.

And the ribbon. Well, I realised that the knot would take up the space where I needed to put the image, so its a falling off the card kinda knot.

Hmmm, I feel hungry now. I've not long since eaten my sandwich, but there is a Wispa calling me from the fridge. But I don't think I can be bothered to walk from my desk to the little kitchen (I'm at work) and back.....

Some Red Laces

Flower Power

I got the Bugaboo digi image as part of the 50/50 Digital Stamping Group and I've coloured it with Promarkers and added some glitter glue to the little character's wings.

I've doodled a little around the edges of the backing paper (Dreams Come True from Funky Hand) and also around the edge of the image.

The plastic red lace is from the Scrap Store and I just knew it would come in handy one day! I also got some in orange and yellow. It looks great but ain't easy to tie!!

Cream Jeans?

I was at a bit of a loss as to how to colour his jeans so have gone for the retro 80's look of cream jeans. Not sure they would stay that colour long as he's off to play football!

Boyz to Men

The image is one I got for May as part of the 50/50 Digital Stamping Group and is an image from Lexi, and I've coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are DCWV 6x6 Retro stack and I've used some base card from my stash.

The brads are also from my stash, and the sentiment was a freebie Papermania stamp. The bloke ribbon is a sort of twill and I bought it as a full spool for a steal a while ago!

A nice quick card, even if he has got dodgy coloured jeans!

No Ribbon and No Buttons!!

That was actually a bit more complicated than it first looked as I had to improvise with the 'layers' - so its doodled lines and faux stitching instead!

I've used one of their images which I got as part of the 50/50 Digital Stamping Group. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and have used papers from an old magazine freebie - The Summertime Dreams Collection from Creative Cardmaking. I really should use up more of the freebies I have and to colour the images accordingly. Fortunately, this one is mainly white so it would have gone with anything!

The sentiment is handwritten and I've used a Nesties die for the shape behind the image. This is a dinky card as I'm being frugal and using up off cuts from another project I am working on.

So all in all, I am pleased with this card!

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

Lovely weather we are having! And so fitting for this card which is for the Lily Boo Too Challenge for April which is:

Spring Colours - Yellow, Pale Green and Blossom

I've used papers from Retro Fun Word Book download from Funky Hand with an image I got as part of the Special 50/50 Digital Crafting Group from Soft Pencil. Isn't it such a lovely image?

I've coloured it with my Promarkers and you can now see that my range of colours has been extended - I now have 3 packs (and a fourth is on it's way!) The sky has been coloured with watercolour pencils as the blue I have was a little too dark.

I've added organza ribbon underneath the bottom of the image and fastened it with a matching button and some fancy shaped wire. Only because it was an off cut of ribbon and only just the right length!!

Sad But Cute!

The current Sketch and Stash challenge is this sketch:

I've used my brand new image as part of the 50/50 Digital Stamping Group from Lil Diva Stamps which I've coloured with watercolour pencils and have added some splashes of glitter glue for rain drops. All backing papers are from Dreams Come True from Funky Hand plus some card candy and ribbon from my stash.

Shame the duck is looking so sad as its a really bright card!

Alternative Easter Bunny

I do like a simple sketch - easy to think about and I don't have to do any faffing. However, I made the mistake of colouring the image first and then trying to hunt through my bits n bobs box for papers to match.... But I think I pulled it off!

This is the current Sketch Girl challenge:

Papers are from Funky Daze and they were just the right size for the card blank! I've layered the image and the centre panel onto black card so it stands out a bit more. The image is a freebie I got as part of the 50/50 Stamping Group and is from Bugaboo.


I've coloured it with felt tips with a little bit of sparkle here and there. It's a fab Easter Bunny, don't you think?! The black organza ribbon is from my stash. A little bit of corner rounding and some enthusiastic black inking (got a new black inkpad for the very purpose of inking edges!) and the card is complete!

Bird House

Inktegrity has launched a brand new challenge and their first ever is this sketch:

I've used the image from the 50/50 Stampers Group which was pre-coloured. I printed it three times and layered it up. All the backing papers are from my stash with the printed one under the image from It's Funky Too from Funky Hand.

The ribbon is from the Scrap Store and as I have plenty of it I was generous with the bow!

Tequila - An Olympic Sport!

As part of the 50 / 50 Digital Stamping group, I got this wonderful Bugaboo image which I've used on a previous card. And they have a challenge blog too! Yeah! The current challenge is:

So here is what I came up with. I've coloured the image again with felt tips and added a bit of sparkle to her hair and glass. The stripy backing paper is from Funky Hand Dreams Come True cd and I did start to stitch the card with my little sewing machine but it went a bit wrong so I've had to pretend it is stitched....

Two shapes cut with my nesties are from card from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated and the buttons from my stash. Just love these images!!

A Round Princess

The CRAFT challenge currently is:

Digi Colouring

I've used a Digi Sparkle image from the 50/50 Digital Stamping Group which I've coloured with felt tips. The round scalloped card was kindly donated (along with quite a few others) by the lovely Enfys so this determined the colours I was going to use!

I've threaded ribbon through the scallops and tied it in a sort of bow at the top and added a brad to hide the joins from the ribbon holding the princess crown charm. The pink backing paper is from Funky Daze from Funky Hand and the lilac hammered card is from my stash.

Be warned - the next few days I'll be posting more than one card per day as I've had a good run at card making over the weekend as the boys were at Hotel De La Grandparents so I could craft away without refereeing fights, wiping noses and building train tracks....

Toad Love

The Truly Scrumptious challenge is this sketch with the added challenge of buttons and bows. Which, as you can see, I only sort of managed one of those if the card candy can be classed as buttons....
I've made this little cute card with a handmade fimo heart and used papers from Stamping Dragon Designs and the image is from Tortagialla stamps as part of the 50/50 digital stamping group. I've coloured it with felt tips and a little white gel pen for highlights.

I've doodled a stitch line around the outside of the card and I've handwritten the sentiment.

Tequila

A wonderfully simple Papertake Weekly sketch for the current challenge:

I've used an image and sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps which I got for February as part of the Special 50/50 Digital Stamping Group. The sentiment reads, One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Floor......

Backing papers are from Funky Daze by Funky Hand which I've inked and then doodled a black line around the edges. The ribbon is from my stash and its a either a double or triple bow as I'd cut too much and wasn't letting any go to waste!

I've coloured the image with felt tips and a bit of white gel pen for highlighting. Fab image eh?!
