Stitch It Up!

A while ago I covered a card blank with this paper and then realised it wasn't quite what I wanted so since then its stayed in a box just waiting to be used! I had the colour in mind when I coloured the image from Michelle Perkett Studio with Aquamarkers.

It fits with the current challenge which is:

Stitch It Up - Faux or Real Stitching

The paper is from Funky Fairy - Pinkie Pops which I don't think is available any more. I've cut the image out with my only set of Nestabilities (I'm hoping for more!) and layered it onto more pink card and some black too.

The ribbon is from my stash and I've made a double bow by adding seperate lengths of ribbon and gluing them down. The large gem hides the messy bits!

A bit of inking and faux stitching around the edges of the card and layers and its complete!

Summer is Still Here!

The Michelle Perkett challenge this week is:

Hang Onto Summer!

I've used the freebie image I got as part of the 50/50 Stamping Group, and coloured it with Promarkers. The sentiment was part of the image which makes life a lot easier!

I've layered the image onto papers from Funky Daze that I found in my off-cuts stash box as it seems to be a little full and needs using up before I either print more or cut into full sheets!

The green organza ribbon is from my stash as is the blue thin grosgrain.

I'm taking part in a blog hop, well, you need to visit my blog to get a letter on Monday 6 September in the afternoon. There are some great prizes of digital stamps on offer for the randomly picked winner, so hope to see you along the way!

Girl with Apple

The Michelle Perkett Studio challenge this week (along with a blog hop!) is

Back To School

I downloaded this lovely digital image from Paper Craft Planet and I've coloured Mary Margaret with Promarkers and a little inking.

The spotty backing paper is left over from a previous project and is from Pink Petticoat - Big Dots Mini download. Some faux stitching around the edges and some card candy.

And I've finished it all off with a huge red satin bow! Mainly to match the red apple and because it needed a splash of colour!

I'm now off to join in the blog hop!

Address Book

I've altered an existing address book which had a rather uninspiring cover which was certainly needed to be changed! I've coloured a Michelle Perkett image with Promarkers which I received as part of the Special 50/50 stamping group, which is being relaunched very soon and will include a blog hop - so check back with my blog for more details in the near future!

This book fits in with the current Michelle Perkett Studio challenge which is:

Anything Goes

I've covered the address book with a sheet of 12x12 paper which I don't know where it is from as its not named! I've layered the image onto corresponding coloured card and then added a satin ribbon underneath and a bow.

The lettering on the bottom has been cut with a Cuttlebug Baby Face alphabet set.

A bit of inking around the edges and the address book is complete! Apologies for the washed out photos, but the light was terrible this morning before I left - the colours in real life are quite vibrant!

Simple Doodles Challenge 20 - Summer Fun

It's time for a Simple Doodles challenge! This week the theme is:

Summer Fun

I've used a cute little image from Michelle Perkett Studio which I received as part of the 50 / 50 Stamping Group. I've coloured it with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue, which because the photo is a particularly poor one, you cannot see too well!

I've used papers from Funky Daze - which I printed when my ink was running out so they do not show their true colour! I've added some ribbon from my stash - generously donated by Lynsey some time ago! Plus I've added some hat pins which I've added my own beads to.

Such a cute image and a great challenge too! Pop over to the challenge blog for more details - you have two weeks to enter so even better!

Good luck!
