It's New Year's Eve and the entertainment is warming up at the Dr Digi party. Metal Mick from 'The Dunderheads' is cranking it up to 11 and is hoping that the Wall of Sound and his Pretender Strat don't let him down in his finest hour.
Someone else who is hoping for their finest hour at the party is the original glamorous Martini Bianca who fondly remembers when she was Miss April in the Bunny Girl Calendar for 1972.
These days, however, she has a little difficulty in getting herself in and out of the comedy Martini glass, so she's decided to spend the whole of the evening pointing her platform lurid pink shoes at the ceiling and hoping that the turkey butties don't repeat.

Tequila
Here is an image I found in my box of random images that I'd already coloured - quite like it when that happens! I've used a Bugaboo image and sentiment, Spellbinder circles die and scalloped edge behind it. Everything else is from my stash - image has been coloured with Promarkers and a smidge of glitter glue.
With a bit of luck this will be me (without the blue hair) on New Years Eve as I've had a rather up and down year for various reasons and I have a feeling that the rollercoaster will still run for some time....

Snow Fun
Are you ready?! The tree is up, the presents are wrapped (well, they will be tonight!) and the turkey is stuffed. So its time to let the dog out........ But its Snow Fun for some!
Happy Christmas to all Dr Digi fans! I've coloured my image with Promarkers and used an offcut of card to create the base - I've lots of these which are left over from making 13.5cm Wedding invitations and I hate to throw away good card, so you'll probably be seeing more and more odd bases as I use them up!
The sentiment tag is from Polkadoodles and the ribbon from my stash. And to keep in the winter theme, I've used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

For The Birds
I'm making an early start on Christmas cards for next year! I've used the For The Birds digi which is the free December image from the progressive monthly challenge at From The Heart digital stamps. I've used my circle Nesties to cut him out (just about got the sizing right!) and then the lacy circles layered behind.
I've gone for an ice blue and chocolate brown colour scheme and found matching papers in my stash (Polkadoodles) plus a freebie tag from Cuddly Buddly. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and stickles and added a dotted line around the edge with a blue gel pen to finish.

Using Offcuts
I am a big fan of the Wordbooks that Anice at Funky Hand designs - I make quite a few of them during the year as they are easy to make and look fantastic! However, when cutting out the 'pages' for the wordbooks, I'm always left with a top and bottom strip as I print on both sides of my card.
So, what to do with these strips as I don't like to throw anything away - just in case!
I've made this gift card wallet using leftover strips from the Blue Christmas wordbook download. I made sure that the strip would be long enough to make the band to go round the wallet itself, added a dotted line with a blue gel pen around the edges and then embossed the front of the wallet with Swiss Dots and inked the edges.
On the inside, I added the little flap to contain the gift card from a matching scrap of card so that I can make two of the wallets from a sheet of A4 card. I've always got scraps of card left over!
I've added some glittered snowflakes and also some ribbon I found in my stash and the gift card wallet is finished! I've got lots more left over strips to use up so I'll be making more of these in the future!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Dear Santa... Define Good
This is an image I found in my box that I must have coloured last year (or the year before!) Bugaboo images always make me smile - and this one is no exception! I've coloured it with Promarkers and added some stickles to her hat.
Papers are Echo Park - All I Want For Christmas and they are leftovers from a pile of cards I made two years ago and have had to make a join as I didn't have an offcut big enough! Ribbon and gems are all from my stash and the mini lights were rescued from a previous project that I decided I didn't like anymore and not wanting to waste them, I removed them!

Christmas Gingerbread!
The month long challenge at Jellypark is still ongoing and there have been some really cute new Christmas digi stamp releases too! I've used two of them to make His n Hers Christmas Gift Wallets - these are actually for my parents!
I've used the Gingerbread Man and Gingerbread Woman, coloured them both with Promarkers and added liquid pearls for detail, cut them out and added them to the wallets I made with my own template, using Funky Hand papers - Funky Christmas Time download.
The wallets were made from one sheet of A4 card along with some careful cutting and joining!

Polkadoodle Challenge 50 - For The Christmas Table
It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the Design Team were asked to make something for the Christmas table!
I've used a church candle and printed one of the papers from Here Comes Christmas onto some vellum then added some red velvet ribbon I've had in my stash for ages. The clock and flowers are from A Home For Christmas and I've used the decoupage version. To make it fit better round the candle, I gently rolled it over the edge of the table.
Good luck with the challenge - for more details, pop over to Polkadoodles!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! It's turing frosty, there is a nip in the air and I hardly see daylight! And if you fancy treating yourself (just in case no-one else does!) then head over to the Dr Digi store and grab this digi snowman for only 50p!
And you too will be grinning like he is!

Celebrate in a Big Way!
Eeek - almost ran out of time with this one! But at least I am almost upto date with all my DT commitments plus all my Christmas orders are complete so its just my own stuff to do now but I've probably got enough Christmas cards as I've made them throughout the year.
Anyway, this digi image that I've used is From The Heart Digital Stamps monthly progressive challenge - you join in and then get the next month's image free!
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then the background with watercolour pencils. Layered it onto an offcut of red card, added the sentiment (comes with the image) and then added the gingham ribbon which is from Meiflower (a bargain at £2.49 (half price!) for a roll!) I've added glossy accents to the heart balloon - it just doesn't show up too well in the photo.

Jellypark Challenge - Christmas
At Jellypark we have a month long challenge and the theme is:
I've used the cute Five Christmas Robins digi stamp which I then printed an additional robin and added him to a branch with foam pads - the card was for a family of 6 so I wanted it to be representative! I've kept the card quite simple - the robins have been coloured with Promarkers and I've added stickles and liquid pearls too. The background I coloured with watercolour pencils for a softer look.
The image was layered onto some red card and I've added bakers twine and a snowflake charm (which is actually back to front but I liked the plainer side for the card!)
Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following challenges:

There is a new Polkadoodle challenge and this week there is a sketch to play with! For all the details, pop over to Polkadoodles. I changed the star element and decoupaged the cute bear from A Sundae of Seasons:
The sentiment ticket is from A Home For Christmas and I've used my fab Memory Box die to create the top and side snowflake border. Ribbon is from my stash along with the three pearlescent stars. Stickles around the edges of the card and ticket and the card is complete!

Christmas Sparkle!
The reason why Phyllis the Festive Fairy is so late today in making her appearance is because she's not wearing a watch and the time just simply flies by when you're sprinkling fairy dust! And the reason why she's not wearing a watch? It clashes with her costume!
You can find Phyllis as a digi stamp over at Dr Digi. I've coloured her with Promarkers and stickles. The wooden star is a Tesco ornament from a few years ago that I've covered with gold stickles (it is gold, just the photo is rather naff!) A bit of gold cord and a handwritten sentiment and its done!

Funky Hand New Releases!
There are some fab new digi image releases over at Funky Hand - 3 different animal monsters - all cute (of course!) plus a monster themed digi paper pack called Hairy and Scary! I've got one of the new digis to share - Monster Dog:
I've dug out some old die cut letters that I've had for years, coloured them with Promarkers to match my colouring of the dog and have added them to a kraft bag. Quite pleased that I didn't make the image any larger otherwise it would have covered up too much of the letters!
The kraft bags were a bargain - I bought a pack of 10 from the poundshop for £1 during the summer and I thought at the time I should have picked a few packs up......!
To have a look at the other Design Team creations pop over to Funky Hand and the paper pack is fab - great for the little monsters in your life!

Jellypark Challenge - Give Thanks
I am rather late with this post. A week late, to be precise. However the challenge is still running for another week so not all is lost! The current Jellypark challenge is:
Give Thanks
And I've made this very quick card using a Cuddly Buddly download - you get 16 different 'card fronts' that print out to around 13cm square (or that's the size I make them) for only £2.49! I've then added a cute Jellypark image - Flowers In Vase digi stamp which I've coloured with Promarkers and added tiny amounts of stickles to the flower centres.
I've added a Sizzix die cut tag and I handwrote the sentiment. Embroidery thread is from my stash. Good luck with the challenge!

Simply Create Too Challenge 51 - Snow or White
There is a new challenge over at Simply Create Too and its also our last challenge until the New Year. The theme is:
Snow or White
I've used the cute Jellypark penguin, coloured him with Promarkers and then added him to the snowy scene I created with a Memory Box tree die, some stickles, two layered Marianne Creatables snowflake die cuts and two little Sizzix tag dies.
I layered everything onto some blue card as the white was a little over powering! I found embroidery thread to match in my stash and handwrote the sentiments.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 55 - Anything But A Card
It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:
Anything But A Card
The challenge is sponsored by Funky Hand and a download of the winners choice is the prize! I've made a bottle tag with left over papers from making a word book using the Sleigh Ride Wordbook download and also the Merry Christmas doodleword digi
I've simply used what leftovers I had from making the pages of a wordbook - the ribbon hides the joins - added some die cuts and then the doodle word which I've coloured with Promarkers. The charm, ribbons and embroidery thread are from my stash. I don't like to throw away the leftover bits from making wordbooks and the pages are a perfect size to make these bottle tags!

It's time for another blast from the past with a Forgotten Funkies post! This time the download choosen is Funky Little Christmas! It's not one for the faint hearted as its loud and proud!
I've made two gift card holders which have used one sheet of card each. I've then added some white satin ribbon so that the flap at the top remains closed, added a Marianne die snowflake and a matching button from my stash along with some embroidery thread, and its done!
They didn't take long to make at all - it took longer for the glue to dry!

A Wanderin' In The Grass
Poor Nessie is a little lost, although she seems to be enjoying the freedom to kick her heels in the long grass on the banks of Magnetic Island on the other side of the world in Australia.
And who said she was camera shy?! I've coloured Nessie with Promarkers then added her to a card blank which has been covered with a random bit of card I found in my stash. And that's it!

Jellypark Challenge - Anything But a Card
I must have a bit of a thing for making boxes at the moment as here is the second blog post and second box for the day! The new Jellypark Challenge is:
And I've made this gift box from my own measurements (it was missing a side at one point!) as I'm making a set of new baby cards to add to it for a friend who is due in the next month.
I've used the fab Toy Giraffe digi stamp (only £1.25!) and coloured it with Promarkers. I used one of my new Nesties to cut the shape (and I love it!) and some yellow organza ribbon that I bought from Lidl ages ago.
I made the box so that the front of it was where it opened so one side is slightly larger than the other to enable this. The cards inside are dinky and have the same image.

Polkadoodle Challenge 44 - Anything Goes Christmas
Time for a new Polkadoodle challenge! The Design Team were challenged to make a Christmas Gift Box but the challenge on the blog is Anything Goes Christmas!
I've used the fab A Home For Christmas cd and printed off one of the box templates onto white linen effect card from the Papermill Direct. I then added a band of velvet red ribbon (got ages ago from the Scrap store!) and then added one of the little cute images from the same cd that I'd decoupaged.
It didn't take a lot of time to make the box so great if you need quite a few! Good luck with the challenge!

Dare You Enter?!
There is a definate chill in the air and now the clocks have gone back an hour, its almost permanently dark; it is getting closer to the witching hour!
So with that in mind I've made a door hanger with the current Dr Digi freebie Crossbones. Not sure which of the boys' bedroom doors to hang it on as they are both as bad as each other....
I've coloured the digi with Promarkers, cut it out and added it to the black card background. I've then randomly cut into the black background then used some silver ink I found around the edges. The letters are cut with my Sizzix Girls are Weird dies.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
2 Creative Chicks: Halloween
Digi Galore: Halloween
Ladybug Crafts: Halloween and Use Die Cuts
Craft Your Passions: Halloween
Love To Create: Halloween
Whoopsi Daisy: Halloween

Pumpkins
Each month there is a progressive stamp challenge at I Heart Stamps - join in and the next image is emailed free, and with it being a monthly challenge, it gives me enough time to join in!
The digi stamp for this month is Harvest Medley and I've printed it directly onto some lovely white linen effect cardstock from Papermill Direct and then used the same for the card blank.
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then cut out the panels and added them to the card with foam pads so they stand out a little. And to finish, I've added a dotted line around the edge of the card with a gold gel pen.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Simply Create Too Challenge 49 - Bingo
Time for a new Simply Create Too challenge and its bingo time! The bingo card is on the challenge blog and you simply choose a vertical line and add all the elements listed in your creation!
I used the line 'O' and used yellow, twine, sewing, button and stripes. The flowers and button are from my stash along with the embroidery thread (substituted for twine!) I've added a faux stitch around the edge of the card with a fine liner black pen.
The papers are from Cosmo Cricket - Mr Campy which I've had in my overflowing box of offcuts for some time! Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge!

It must be Christmas or Festive and also pink! The challenge is sponsored by the fab Jellypark and two single images are the prize for one lucky entrant!
I'm lucky enough to be on the Jellypark Design Team so I got to play with this cute image - Xmas Fairy and I've coloured her with Promarkers and stickles (quite a lot of stickles if I'm honest!) and then layered her onto a Memory Box die cut.
I've dotted a line with a pink gel pen around the edges and added a double ribbon at the top of the card. Rather pleased how the card turned out!

Meet Bot!
It's my turn to post some inspiration over on the Get Funky blog and hopefully you will be! We've had another rather busy weekend - Jacob was playing football yesterday - they lost 7-3 - but Jacob saved loads of would-be goals so not too bad; Samuel was karting all weekend and today was race day. Once the track dried out properly he was really on the pace and set the fastest Honda lap in the third heat and also in the Final.
He won the Honda Cadet class and came away with another trophy (fairly large!) plus valuable Championship points - which, incidently, he now curretly leads! With one more round to go in November, we are hoping he can pull it off! So with this win, its his 26th trophy in total, and his 14th of this year!
I've used the new digi stamp called Bot - Fire Away and teamed him with left over papers from Sleigh Ride download. Bot is really easy to colour especially if you're not keen on digi stamps - I've used Promarkers. I've also used some star die cuts to use up some of the titchy bits of paper (I hate to throw any bits away!)
To finish off, I've added a faux stitched line and a bit of inking!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Jellypark Challenge - Pinktober!
It's either feast or famine with me and my blog at the moment - I don't blog for a few days and then all of a sudden there are 3 posts in one day! I've got a lot going on at the moment with not a lot of spare time. Some of it is good stuff, but some not so good and the not so good stuff is taking a toll and I've been unwell recently.
Anyway, the new Jellypark Challenge is up and the theme for the fortnight is:
In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I was asked a while ago to make a pink and sparkly card for one of my work colleagues as her Granddaughter was turning one, so here it is! I've used the Cute Fairy With Wand digi stamp from the store (only £1.25!), coloured her up with Promarkers and stickles and then added her to the white linen card with a wobbler.
I've also added liquid pearls and some tiny pink half pearls too. The lettering is all cut with a Sizzix alphabet - Girls are Weird and I've used some glitter card that I've had for a long long time! Ribbon is also from my stash and I think I've had that even longer!
To give the card more stability, I double up with the card stock and then added a line of liquid pearl dots around the edge to finish it off.
Good luck with the Jellypark challenge!

Polkadoodle Challenge Week 42 - Christmas Is Coming
Time for a new Polkadoodle challenge! The theme for the week is:
And here is my card! It's another one ticked off the list of orders and then I need to think about the ones I'm going to send...... Probably will be rather quick and simple to make as the list is rather long!! Apologies for the naff photo but I've not been seeing much daylight these days.
All the papers are from A Home For Christmas cd and I've made the multi-fold card myself so it stands quite long (if you see what I mean!) I've added ribbons from my stash and also Marianne Die snowflakes (added half pearls too). The die cut on the blue parcel is part of a Memory Box die cut. The sentiment tag is also from the same cd. It does all fold flat (well, almost flat!) so its easy to post.
Good luck with the Polkadoodle challenge!

Forgotten Funkies - Shabby Saturday
There are a lot of Forgotten Funky downloads so Anice has decided to have a special post once a month and will challenge the Design Team to use that particular download to create something! And this month, to kick it all off, its the turn of Shabby Saturday!
It was my Mum's Birthday a few weeks ago and I made her this card using the Shabby Saturday download - the large letters are included along with papers and a sentiment page too! All beautifullly co-ordinated! The download is only £3.49 and you get a lot for the price!
I've used some lovely white linen effect card from The Papermill Shop Direct, cut out the large alphabet letters, added some stripy paper (stripy is always good!) plus the sentiment tile and found some matching embroidery thread in my stash.
I've used tiny foam pads to raise the letters and sentiment from the page - I bought around 50,000 of the foam pads some time ago in the Poundshop - it was two for a pound and I didn't realise how many of the foam pads there were on a sheet of A4..... so I've got quite a few to use up!
For more inspiration and to see how the rest of the Design Team have used Shabby Saturday, pop over to Get Funky!

Crank Up The Heating
Ah, Walter is enjoying the peace and quiet and the fact that the boiler is now working properly. To ensure that he gets the best deal he can before the gas prices are hiked this side of Christmas, he's turned the heating all the way up to 11.
You too can buy your very own Weekend Walter from Dr Digi before the gas runs out! I've enlarged the digi with no loss of quality and then coloured with Promarkers and glossy accents for the glasses.

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 61
There is a new challenge at Fetch A Sketch and here is the sketch for the fortnight:
And here is my sample:
I've used a cute Jellypark topper from CraftsUPrint and I've printed it onto a sort of watercolour card for a different effect. The papers are Sugar and Spice from Dovecraft and I've added a fancy X Cut die cut behind the image. Embroidery thread and flowers are from my stash along with the tiny half pearls. A bit of stickles have been added to the bunting. And that's it!
Good luck with the challenge - for more details, pop over to Fetch A Sketch!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Lawnscaping: Patterned Paper
Tammy's Scrappin' Corner: Fall Colours
Whoopsi Daisy: Spots and Dots
Crafting When We Can: Make It Sparkle
Glitter and Sparkle: Add Some Orange
And here is my sample:
I've used a cute Jellypark topper from CraftsUPrint and I've printed it onto a sort of watercolour card for a different effect. The papers are Sugar and Spice from Dovecraft and I've added a fancy X Cut die cut behind the image. Embroidery thread and flowers are from my stash along with the tiny half pearls. A bit of stickles have been added to the bunting. And that's it!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then cut it out, layered it onto a Memory Box die cut and I've used the same cardstock too - white linen. And to finish it off, I've dotted a line of liquid pearls around the edges!
