Bit of Retro Green

And here I am again! This time with a From The Heart Stamps image - Martini Chicks; I've coloured it with Promarkers and added glossy accents to the olives and eyes. And I've also used the same papers I used last week (only because they were still on the table and worked well with the image!) - DCWV Retro Stack 6x6 papers.

The green card is from my stash, and it appears that I've added the image slightly not quite straight..... Oh, and another ebay charm too!

Forgotten Funkies - Retro Fun

It's the last Friday of the month so that means its time for the Funkettes to delve into the Funky Hand past! We've all used the Retro Fun wordbook download and I just had to make a wordbook with it!

I've added ribbon from my stash and some die cut butterlies which I've added seed beads to the centres. I've also added stickles around the edges of the letters for a bit of sparkle!

Pop over to Get Funky to see what the rest of the team have created - there are some fab cards as the download comes with backing papers as well as word book pages.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 61 - Anything Goes Christmas

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and I've made it an easy theme for the fortnight - Anything Goes. If you want to know more and how to enter pop over to the blog! I've used a fab digi image from Funky Hand - Georgie Angel, and I've printed her directly onto the cardstock and coloured with Promarkers.

I've added gold stickles to her wings, gold emboridery thread and a fab little snowflake charm that I bought from ebay (along with a lot of other charms for a bargain price!) I've shaped the bottom of the card by drawing round a die and then cutting it out. Simple, but it works!

Good luck with the Crimbo Crackers challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday: Metal (tip is to use a die to draw around if its not the right size for a shape, as I have on my card)

Simply Create Too Challenge - Animals

I know I'm a little late with this post but I totally forgot about it and then suddenly remembered! The Simply Create Too DT has posted their midway reminder and inspiration for the current challenge which is: Animals. I've used a rather cute digi stamp from Jellypark - Boy Cuddling Dog (and its only £1.50!)

I've used Promarkers for the image and then watercolour pencils for the background. Printed papers are from Funky Hand - Sleigh Ride download - see Christmas papers can be used all year around! Everything else is from my stash.

Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge - for more details, pop over to the blog!

You Brighten My Day!

None of these new fangled energy saving whatsits here - just a good old fashioned light bulb to brighten your day!

Well, if no-one is going to say it, I will - you brighten my day. And the good Dr Digi himself has drawn this fab light bulb so you can brighten someones day too. And you'll be brightening your own too as the digi is FREE!!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then used some ransom letters to spell out the greeting (and had to be creative with no h and t left!)

Beer

This is another card ticked of a long list of card requests! I've used a fab From The Heart Digital Stamps stamp called Birdbrain Brew. I've coloured it with Promarkers and a little bit of stickles on the beer.

I've used DCWV Retro Stack 6x6 papers as I thought it was about time I tried to use up some of the stuff I have rather than print more digi papers! And the bakers twine is from my stash. I've used a sentiment from another digi set and die cut the word Dad with a Sizzix alphabet.

We've had another busy weekend - Jacob had his last football match of the season yesterday and it was quite rough at times and he got a boot to the back of his head as he went to save a goal. He's a trouper as he played on after his team mates and Manager came over to see if he was ok. Mind you, he had to play on as he's the only goalie! Samuel had another race today and although he didn't win (he finished 3rd) it was still a good race day and he set some good times.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Spring Is In The Air

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme for the fortnight (the challenges now last for 2 weeks!) is Spring Is In The Air.

I've taken the theme literally this week and made an exploding box with springy MUM letters! The papers are from Pen and Paper Circle issue 9 and I've used a Sizzix die to cut the letters and then added them to some craft wire which has been very much glued underneath the rolled flowers. I've added some clear doodle drop gems to the centres for extra sparkle - and they are reduced in the shop too!

I've also used a Sizzix scalloped tag die and handwritten the sentiment. The ribbons are all from my stash and I was rather pleased that they matched the papers perfectly!

Good luck with the challenge - closing date is 4 April.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Divas By Design: Flowers
Paper Shelter: More than 5 Flowers
The Three Muses: Spring
Ladybug Crafts Ink: For A Special Lady
Papertake Weekly: Special Lady

Typically British

Imagine the scene; husbands' Birthday is fast approaching and I still think its mid February (I know, I've only had a year to remember) and I need to make a card. Something that will make him smile and fondly remember the 'good old days' when he had his very own Mini.

And better still, the digi is a cheapie and only a quid! Buy nnow from Dr Digi!

I've used Promarkers to colour and layered it onto the Union Jack with foam pads - the Union Jack is from the Britannia download from Polkadoodles. A little inking around the edges and the card is complete! And yes, he liked it!

I rather like this cute little stamp from From The Heart Stamps - its the current monthly progressive freebie and I've added the sentiment from a different stamp set. I've coloured it with Promarkers plus the papers are from the Button Babies download from Funky Hand.

The green card is from my stash along with the ribbon and I've doodled a running stitch around the edge of the papers. I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Jellypark Challenge - Pastels

Time for a new Jellypark challenge and the theme for the fortnight is Pastels. And I've made these cute three cards with equally cute images - Giraffe, Dancing Bunny Rabbit, and Rose Bunny.

All have been coloured with Promarkers and half pearls along with a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edges. The scalloped edges are made with a heart punch with the pointy bit tucked under the reverse. Good luck with the challenge and be sure to watch out for the new releases!

I'd like to enter the following challenge:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Mum's The Word

The Polkadoodles challenge is continuing and the current theme is Mum's The Word - the challenges last for 2 weeks now so you have even longer to enter! I've used the fab Paper Boutique Vol 3 and printed all the elements at A5 size plus an extra sheet for the flowers.

I cut them all out and then layered up with glue and foam pads. The butterflies are from my stash - they are chipboard and I coloured them with Promarkers plus added half pearls for extra detail. I handwrote the sentiment with a Sizzix tag. I've also added stickles to most of the flowers for a bit of bling on Mother's Day!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 60 - Cute

I'm a little late with this today - I thought it was Wednesday today - its been one of those weeks and seems to be happening more often now that I've moved offices and have a 3 hour per day commute. Anyway, the new Crimbo Crackers challenge theme is Cute, so here is some Jellypark sponsored cuteness!

I've used a cute digi image from Jellypark who is the challenge sponsor - Skating Polar Bears and coloured it with Promarkers. Papers are Let It Snow and I've added stickles, handwritten tag sentiment along with organza ribbon, embroidery thread and a snowflake charm.
Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following:

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Leaning Tower of Cake

More often than not my baking skills are rather dodgy; my jam rolls never did (and even the birds turned their beaks up at the crumbs) and my apple pies were too tart. So, it comes as no surprise that my tiered Victoria sponges lean rather dangerously whilst splodging out stawberry jam and dripping sweet icing.

Buy Birthday Cake from the Dr Digi store and you too can drip icing all down your best top. Fortunately this cake has been coloured with Promarkers plus stickles for a bit of Birthday sparkle. And the ransom letters are from a Kirsty Wiseman cd.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
