Little Miss Muffet Challenge - 191 - Inspiration

We are half way through the current Little Miss Muffet challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

For inspiration, I've used Polka Dot Pals Morgan and coloured her up with Promarkers and to represent one of my local U7s girls teams (who are actually very good!)

The papers are from a now retired Polkadoodles download and they were offcuts from a previous project and I had to be clever as to how to get them to fit on the card base - so there are gaps underneath that you can't see!

Sentiment is a magazine freebie stamp and black card is from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

Crafterholics R Us:  Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner:  Anything Goes
Paperminutes:  Football
The Paper Nest Dolls:  Anything Goes

Roses Are Red.......

...Violets are blue. Some poems rhyme and others don't.......

And have a guess which one this does? Another fab sentiment from Funny Sentiments Sheet 01

And the best bit? You get a further 10 sentiments to use for more cards! I've used kraft card and the Britiania Download from Polkadoodles plus some half pearls and a bit of faux stitching.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations: Patrotic Colours
The Kraft Journal: Red, White and Blue
My Craft Spot: Patrotic
Open Minded Challenges: Patrotic
Pumpkin Spice: Red, White and Blue

Typically British

Imagine the scene; husbands' Birthday is fast approaching and I still think its mid February (I know, I've only had a year to remember) and I need to make a card. Something that will make him smile and fondly remember the 'good old days' when he had his very own Mini.

And better still, the digi is a cheapie and only a quid! Buy nnow from Dr Digi!

I've used Promarkers to colour and layered it onto the Union Jack with foam pads - the Union Jack is from the Britannia download from Polkadoodles. A little inking around the edges and the card is complete! And yes, he liked it!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

One Stitch At A Time: Use A Digi
Pile It On: For A Guy
Crafts Galore Encore: Use A Digi
Digi Galore: Anything Goes
Flat Friends: Cards 4 Men

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 46

It's time for another Fetch A Sketch challenge and here is the sketch for the fortnight:

We are sponsored by Sassy Designs Studio and one lucky winner will receive 4 images of their choice from the store!

Here is my take on the sketch.  I've used papers from Polkadoodles - Britannia Download which was a freebie download last year and I've used a scallop card blank to layer it all on.  The buttons are from my stash along with the twine.

I was lucky enough to use a Sassy Studios Design image and I really do like this one!  This one is called Great Britain Honey and she's been coloured with Promarkers and then cut out and layered with foam pads.

Hope you can join in with the challenge and for more details please pop over to Fetch A Sketch - good luck!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

ABC Challenges:  J for Just As You Like
One Stop Craft:  Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday:  Anything Goes
My Heart Pieces:  Not To Be Square

Teenage Boy

I'm rather late again with last week's new releases from Jellypark, but better late than never!  Here is the first of two - perfect for teenagers!  This is called Teenage Boy - Gaming and is available to buy for the bargain price of £1.25!

I've coloured him with Promarkers and watercolour pencils (for the softer parts) and then layered onto some red and silver card I found in my stash.

I'm trying to use up all the random offcuts of printed papers in my shoe box (rather large!) so I've used red and white polkadot paper from Polkadoodles (Britannia download) and the blue and white from Funky Hand (Rainbow Polkadots download). I've added some X Cut stars and a ribbon along with some embroidery thread.

With a bit of luck, I'll be blogging the other Jellypark new release stamp before the next set are released!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Avenue 613:  Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everyone:  Anything Goes
Dream Valley Challenges:  Anything Goes
Robyn's Fetish:  Anything Goes

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 30 - Wooden

It's time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge! And the theme I've set for this fortnight is

Wooden

I'm also joined by a Guest Designer who was a previous challenge winner so please pop over to Crimbo Crackers to have a look at what she's made!

I've used a kraft card blank which I've layered some red and white dotty paper (Polkadoodles Britannia download) and then more kraft card.  I've used a Nesties die for the layering shapes and I simply cut around a dark brown card layer for a thinner look.

The wooden bit is the reindeer which was a Tesco's tree decoration for the last few years - I bought a few packs of these (and other shapes!) 10 for £1 is a bargain!

I've added some flat backed pearls (they were not supposed to be that close together but I dabbed the glossy accents too close to each other!) and some bakers twine.  Oh, and some faux stitching too.

Good luck with the challenge!  For more details pop to Crimbo Crackers!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Christmas at Sweet Stamps:  Anything Goes
365 Day Cards:  Day 278 - Pick A Pattern - Polkadots
Deep Ocean Challenge:  Christmas
Die Cuttin' Diva's:  Holiday Spirit

Printed papers:  Polkadoodles, Britannia download
Decoration: Tesco
Dies:  Spellbinder Nestabilities

Polkadoodle Challenge 28 - Olympic Theme - Red, White & Blue & BLOG HOP!

Right! I promise that this will be my fourth and last post for today! It's like buses - I don't blog for a few days (work really gets in the way sometimes) and then four come along all at once!

A new Polkadoodle challenge is launched today and the theme is:

Red, White and Blue with an Olympic theme

But that is not all!  We're having a blog hop to celebrate!  So if you have arrived at my blog from the Challenge blog then you are going in the right direction!

You need to leave me a comment and then hop to Shell and leave her a comment too.  There are no letters to collect, but you must comment on each of the stops along the way AND enter the challenge.  For more details on the actual challenge pop back to the challenge blog.

I've used a trusty brown takeaway bag for my project, and don't worry, it hasn't been used!  I've used the Britannia download which was a freebie on our facebook page a while ago and used an X cut die for the fancy shape.  The letters have been cut with my Sizzix Round a Bout alphabet dies and from matt gold card.  A bit of organza ribbon has been tied to the handle.

I gave this to my cousin Claire and her new husband Ross just before they left to live in Germany for a few years.  Obviously it wasn't empty (I'm not that bad!) - it had a tea towel in with Keep Calm and Eat Cake emblem on it!

Good luck with the challenge and don't forget to leave me a comment - there are some fab prizes on offer - and don't forget to enter the challenge as well!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Flourishes:  Sentiment as Main Focus
Paper and Such:  Red, White and Blue
Use Your Stuff:  Patriotic Colours
Critter Challenges:  Colour Palette inspiration
Dream Valley Challenges:  Anything But Square
  • Papers:  Britannia download
  • Dies:  X Cut and Sizzix alphabet
  • Everything else:  My stash

Fetch A Sketch is One!

It's our First Birthday over at Fetch A Sketch!  Time really has flown by and we've shared some fab sketches along the way and also been very lucky with some generous sponsors.

And because it is our Birthday, some of the generous sponsors are offering some prizes to some lucky commenters!  We have 5 prizes so that means 5 comments will be randomly picked from the challenge blog.  If you want to know more about the prizes, just pop over to Fetch A Sketch!

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one of the prizes is to leave a comment on each of the blogs in the hop and finally back at Fetch A Sketch.  If you fancy being a follower then do so, but it is not a requirement.

The closing date for comments to be left is Tuesday 3 July at 12noon GMT so that gives you just over a week to get hopping!  We will announce the winners on Wednesday 11 July.

The regular Fetch A Sketch gals are joined by previous (and current!) Guest Designers and the hop list is:

Don't forget to leave a comment as you pass through on each blog otherwise you won't be entered into the draw for one of our sponsor prizes!
We've also looked back through our back catalogue and picked a favourite sketch and by using sponsor images and papers we've created something.  I've gone for the sketch from challenge 6:

And used Harold Hammock from Dude Time Doodles who has been coloured with Promarkers and papers from Polkadoodles - Britannia download.  I've used a Nestabilities die to cut the shape and added some buttons and embroidery thread from my stash for detail.

Good luck with the hop and don't forget to leave a comment!
