Fetch A Sketch Challenge 4

Welcome to our fourth Fetch A Sketch challenge! Jenny is this fortnight's hostess with a rather wonderful sketch for you to work with. The winner from challenge three will be announced next Monday so please keep an eye out to see you if you were the lucky entrant! But remember, you have to be in it to win it!

We have the very generous and downright quirky Dude Time Doodles sponsoring challenge 4 and the prize is a $10 gift certificate to the store - Bonibleaux Designs. Always perfect for the pesky men in your life for whom a card is always difficult to construct!

And the sketch that we have for you to follow is:

Remember, you can flip it, rotate it, add your sentiment and extra embellishments where ever you like, but as long as we can recognise the sketch then we are happy bunnies! You can also use what ever products you like.

Jenny and I have had a play with some of the Dude Time Doodles images (I'm also on the Design Team too) and I've used one of my favourite images - Henry Hero who has been coloured with Promarkers.

All the papers and elements on the card are from the Not For Girls cd from Polkadoodle and I just love this collection of papers! It's been made for a special little boy to give to his Uncle who will be celebrating his birthday soon!

All the elements and Henry have been added with foam pads for extra dimension and its quite a large card - just slightly smaller than A5. Some of the elements have got a few foam pads behind them so it is quite a dimensional card!

The closing date is 12noon on Sunday 28 August and for more details and how to enter, please pop over to the challenge blog. Good luck!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Birthday Sundaes: Birthday Wording (second disc from right)
Allsorts: Red
Crafty Calendar: August - Hot Colours
Craft Your Days Away: Birthday
Ellephantastic: August - Layers

  • Image: Henry Hero, coloured with Promarkers
  • All papers and elements: Not For Girls cd from Polkadoodles

Red At Christmas

You just know that it's never long before I make another Christmas card! For this one I've used a wonderful Penny Black stamp and coloured it with Promarkers. The background has been coloured with a rather faded (but still functional!) tiny blue inkpad.

Papers are Papermania Home For Christmas 6x6 stack which have been layered onto some dark red cardstock I had in my stash. The flowers are from The Craft Garden but I don't think they are currently stocked as I've had them for quite some time! I coloured some orange brads with my Promarkers to match the flowers.

I've followed the Sweet Stop Sketches sketch and would also like to enter the following challenges:

Sparkles Christmas Challenge: Robins
Christmas Stampin': Gimme The Bird
Allsorts: Red
Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Anything Goes

  • Image: Penny Black, coloured with Promarkers
  • Papers: Papermania Home For Christmas 6x6 stack
  • Flowers: The Craft Garden
  • Everything else: My stash

Bear Fishing

Isn't this such a sweet image? I was really cheeky a few weeks ago and asked Debbie (I'd seen her use the image on an Oldie But A Goodie challenge) if she'd stamp me a few as it was perfect for a card I'd been asked to make. It will be from a little boy to his Grandad on his 60th Birthday and he likes sailing boats!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and all the papers are from the Polkadoodle download Fathers Day. The brads are from my stash and I've added a computer generated sentiment. A little bit of faux stitching around the edges and the card is complete!

I promise Debbie that I'll send you some images in the post in return - just not done any stamping recently. So sorry its taken so long to return the good favour!

I've used the Pollycraft sketch for inspiration and would also like to enter the following challenges:

Card Makin' Mama's: Birthday Cards
Glitter Geeks: Furry and Feathery Friends
Crafting For All Seasons: Beach / Ocean
Deep Ocean Challenge: Deep Ocean

  • Image: Unknown - sent to me by Debbie
  • Papers: Fathers Day download from Polkadoodles
  • Sentiment: Computer generated
  • Everything else: My stash

Polkadoodle Challenge 31 - CASE It

It's Friday so time for another Polkadoodle challenge! This week the theme is to CASE another Polkadoodle Design Team members card. I've been a bit sneaky and gone with a style! So I've CASE'd Claire and as luck would have it, I found a digi stamp of hers in my folders!

I've coloured it with Aquamarkers and added glossy accents to the centre of the flower. The papers are from the Wonderland cd and I've simply added a bit of inking to the edges and some doodling. Really simple!
Hope you can join in - the challenge closes on Sunday 14 August at 12noon GMT.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The Paper Shelter: Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

Anything Goes: Flowers

Paper Playtime: Digi Monday - Summer

  • Image: Hope Jacare, coloured with Aquamarkers
  • Papers: Wonderland cd

Chocolate and Pink Sixteen

You know how I like my wordbooks so here is another one that I've recently made this time for a friend who's daughter is turning sixteen. I've used papers from Funky Hand - Craft The Year Away cd and I've used wordart to make the letters.

Although you can't really see it, I've dotted liquid pearls around the inners of each of the letters for a bit of detail.
The ribbons are from my stash and I've looped them around a few times to make a fancy bow and tied it all together with some very lovely chocolate brown satin ribbon. The charm is a little crown with 'princess' on it. It's one of a few that I've had for ages and bought from ebay.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Stampin' B's: Use Ribbon
Celebrate the Occasion: Kids Birthday
Cupcake Craft: Birthdays with a Number

  • Papers: Funky Hand - Craft The Year Away cd
  • Ribbons: My stash
  • Charm: My stash

Welcome to another Dude Time Doodles challenge! As it is the first Wednesday of the month there is a sketch challenge, and you know me and my sketches, well this one is a nice n easy one to follow!I've used the wonderful Fanny Farts image, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue for her hair. I've generated the sentiments on my pcs and used papers from Funky Daze from Funky Hand.

Ribbon is from my stash and I'd bought it for a different project but it was a bit too peachy when I got it home - darn store lights! And I wanted baby pink so it was good to use it on this card!

Hope you can join in with the challenge - for more details on how to enter and to view the other Dudette creations, just pop over to the challenge blog!

More Pink Christmas!

Well, I just had to! I still had some of the spotty paper left over from my last card so it saved me from tidying it up! This is for the Doodle Dragon Studio challenge which is:

Girl Power

And I think this one is! The image, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue (not dry when I took the photo!) is from the bundle Christmas download.

The spotty paper is from the Rainbow Polkadots download from Funky Hand and the very pale pink glitter card is from my stash and I've had it for years (I even remember buying it!) and the pink thick angel hair is a generous donation from Lynsey!

Pink Christmas, with Sparkle

I found a new challenge site (and had to make a purchase or two!) which is Squiggle Stamps and their current challenge is:

Christmas Creations

I've also used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for inspiration (always good inspiration!) The image is a freebie from Squiggle Stamps and I've coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are all from Funky Hand - the spotty one is Rainbow Polkadots download and the other has a very light snowflake pattern on it and is from Funky Little Christmas download.

I've done the dotting around the edges with liquid pears and a silver gel pen for the image. Ribbon is from my stash (was determined to use it as I've had it for years!) and the large snowflake is from a Matalan sale. The other snowflakes are confetti.

I'd like to enter the following challenges with my card:

Incy Wincy: Monochromatic
