Simple and Cute!

I've missed so many of the Lili of the Valley challenges, mainly due to lack of time! But I'd been sent some of the lovely die cut images by Enfys some time ago and I liked the look of the current sketch challenge, so I went for it!


And made two cards! It seemed a shame not to make both a girl and a boy card! The images are Lili of the Valley and are just so sweet! For both cards I've used similar elements - for the girl card I've used papers from Tinker and Co - Shabby Quilt along with a Martha Stewart punch which I've threaded the ribbon through via another punch I had plus ribbon and seed beads from my stash. The brad was also sent to me by Enfys an age ago!

The matching boy card again uses papers from Tinker and Co but this time Spring Fresh along with a Fiskars border punch, ribbon from Stampin' Up (Tempting Turquoise) and again seed beads and brads from my stash. The large sentiment brad is from Enfys too!

So there you go! Two pretty quick and simple cards to add to the baby box!

Reindeer With A Fold Flat Nose!

The Lili of the Valley challenge currently is to make:

A Christmas Card for a Child

I've drawn inspiration from last months Papercraft Inspirations magazine but used my own templates to make this reindeer complete with fold flat nose! I've used shiny red card and white card from my stash - the reindeer is cut from Bazzill basics paper and has been inked and chalked.

The white card has been run through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and then the edges have been inked. The reindeer's nose is made from circles of thick red vellum which I've folded and glued on the fold so it will go flat in an envelope. The bell is from my stash.

This was quite quick and easy to make, so I think I'll be making more for my Christmas box!

Rockin' Robin!

Another challenge, another sketch! This time it is Lili of The Valley, which is the following sketch:And I've used all paperbased elements of this card from the brand new very soon to be released Polkadoodle cd - Not For Girls. I've kept the card quite simple as I think the images are just so funny!

I've resized the three birdies from their original intended size so that I could use them to fit the sketch. The two coloured papers are also from the cd - there is a section of plain colours which match up with all the different elements on the cd and are great for when you don't want too much going on with the card.

The sentiment is also from the cd and I've just snipped part of it and layered it onto more backing paper. The brads are from my stash.

Fudge the Dog

This is a new challenge for me! I found this site whilst blog hopping and the current Lili of the Valley challenge is:

Animals

And yes, I know I've only got one, but its a big one! This is Fudge and he's from the new Candy Doodles cd from Polkadoodles - I've enlarged him some what, cut him out and added him to a card blank and surprisingly he still stands up!

I've added a heart dog tag, complete with chain, a dog bowl and two bones. And the word 'woof' has been cut with Sizzix Round a Bout alphabet set and I've dotted the edges with a white gel pen. The letters have initially been glued to a strip of acetate and then added to Fudge.

A fun card! There is also Marmalade the cat so that is probably a future project!
