It's time for a Jellypark Stamp Spotlight! And this time it is the turn of this fab digi stamp - Couple Kissing Under Mistletoe. I've coloured it in with Promarkers and used a shaped card base and layered it with some spotty paper I found in my stash (have a feeling its Polkadoodles but can't remember!)
I've added a vellum disc cut with my Nesties and some vellum snowflakes (Marianne Creatable dies) with half pearl centres. The ribbon is from my stash and I've glittered the edges of the card because it just had to be! The silver ribbon I've had for years - I keep looking at it but its difficult to tie so the blue organza was perfect with it!
If you've not already joined the Jellypark Club then get over there and sign yourself up - its free, plus you get a regular newsletter (with a freebie attached) plus discount codes and lots more!

Little Blue Bird
Here is the second new release digi stamp from Jellypark which was released last Friday and its called Quirky Bird.
I've coloured him (because he does look like a him!) with Aquamarkers - and then cut him out along with the sentiment with a circle Nestie. I've used another quick card front from Cuddly Buddly which are a godsend when trying to be quick or if inspriation is lacking!
I've added a fine line of blue gel pen dots around the edge of the image to finish it off and that's it!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 25 - Gingerbread
It's Thursday so its time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge! I've gone for a rather tempting theme this fortnight:
And it ties in very nicely with the brand new Studio 12 Picknix Collection cd from Polkadoodles - Gingerbread Twist! Polkadoodles is the sponsor for this challenge and one lucky winner will receive some fab Polkadoodle goodies!
I've used papers and an image from the new cd - the image is pre coloured so it was a rather quick card to make! I've used X Cut dies for the stars and added quite a bit of glitter glue to the image so it looks like they are skating!

A bit of doodling and some faux stitching and the card is complete! Apologies for the poor photograph - it's almost been dark the last few weeks when I've been coming home from work as the weather has been so bad so I've resorted to the lights in the kitchen!
Good luck with the challenge - pop over to the challenge blog for more details!

Nuts About You!
As it is becoming customary for me (late!), here is one of two new release stamps from Jellypark, and this one is Squirrel - I'm Nuts About You! Such a fab little image! There are some oak leaves that come with the digi but I've not used them.
I've coloured it with Aquamarkers and used Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy Papers, layering them onto some black card. The twine and buttons are all from my stash - must have had the buttons for ages as they were right at the bottom of the button tub! I started to use my corner rounder punch but then it kept sticking and wouldn't punch, so most of the corners I've done myself - some are rather wonky but I'd actually punched the patterned paper first so it was easy to layer the black card and follow the line freehand! So now a new punch is on my shopping list, although it has had some use over the years!
I've also added a faux running stitch around the edge of the card. And if you've not joined the Jellypark Club yet, you are missing out on free digi's, exclusive money off codes and a rather fab newsletter!
The second new release will be along at some point!

Dude Time Doodles 26 September New Release & Blog Hop!
It's time to show off the brand new release images from Dude Time Doodles, and we celebrate this on the last Wednesday of each month with a Blog Hop!
So, if you've arrived at me from Kevin then you are on the right track although there is no start or finish point - just as long as you work your way through each of the blogs and leave us a comment at each point then you'll be in with a chance of winning! After you have left me a comment, pop over to Charlene.
Good luck with the hop and don't forget to leave a comment as you go past!

I've been lucky enough to use Where's Willy and he's been coloured with Promarkers. The fab papers I have used are Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy - great backing papers and very apt! I did a little squeal when I realised that paper was in the pack!
I've made the bunting myself and used a scrap of embroidery thread to hang it all. The grass is the good old Marianne Creatables icicle die. I'll be surprised if I ever do use it for icicles rather than grass!

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 33 - Midway Extra
It's time for the Midway Extra part to the current Fetch A Sketch challenge. And as a reminder here is the current sketch:
You can make anything you like for the challenge as long as the sketch is followed - plus you can twist it, flip it - but we do need to see the sketch in your creation!
I've used papers from The Clip Art Fairy - Beautiful Baby Boy papers plus added some stickles around the edges and on the corners of the X Cut stars too. I've used a circle Nestie for the image shape and the cute snowman is from Jellypark which was a past freebie so I'm not sure if it is still available.
I've coloured the snowman with Promarkers and added some silver snowflake confetti to finish off the sketch.
Hope you can join us - for more details, pop over to Fetch A Sketch!

Get Funky Challenge - Word Books!
The month long challenge over at Get Funky is underway and it's my turn to provide some inspiration! The theme set by the lovely Lou is:
Well, I do like my wordbooks and I get a lot of requests to make them too because they are so different to the standard card. I've used the Wishes and Kisses cd and simply printed the templates with the letters I need. I then layered them up and added my embellishments and ribbons. I decided to make a wordbook of my new Niece who I'd taken photos of with the boys when she was just a week old - she's changed a bit since as she's almost 7 months now!
I've added little scallop tags for journalling and threaded pink organza ribbon through. I've also glittered the edges of the letters too - you just can't see it too well in the photos.
As always, there is a Funky Hand freebie for you to use in this month's challenge and you too can make your own wordbook with it! Don't forget that we must see a Funky Hand product in your creation! Good luck!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Jellypark Challenge - World Thanks / Gratitude Day
It's new challenge time at Jellypark! And the theme this fortnight is:
So its all about those little thank you's! I've made this rather floral card (doesn't look this busy in real life - honest!) and used my fancy X Cut dies for the shapes and layers.
I've used this fab digi stamp which was a freebie some time ago and I've coloured her with Promarkers plus a bit of sparkle. The embroidery threads are from my stash and I've cut the tag with a Sizzix die and handwritten the sentiment. Papers are a freebie download from Papercraft Inspirations magazine which I printed off quite some time ago and found in my rather large shoe box of bits - and for once I coloured the image to match the paper colours!
Good luck with the challenge - for more details and inspiration, pop over to Jellypark!

Polkadoodle Challenge 38 - Song Title
Time for another Polkadoodle challenge and the theme this week is:
I've gone for 'O Christmas Tree' and the papers and image are from the new Studio 12 Picknix collection - Gingerbread Twist. I don't think the photo does the backing paper justice - its a really lovely mix of colours and I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more!
I've added a layered Marianne Creatables snowflake die with foam pads in between for depth and some of the layers are vellum. Three half pearls have been added to the top of the snowflake and just underneath the image. Organza ribbon is from my stash.
Good luck with the challenge!

Dude Time Doodles Challenge - Add A Sentiment
It's time for another Dude Time Doodles challenge! And the theme this week is a nice and easy one:
I've used Aaron Aeronautic Set and coloured them with Promarkers. I've made a step card with my Marianne Creatables icicle die (it makes great grass too!) and added a cloud backing paper - Echo Park, Summerdays.
The planes have been added with wobber springs and I've made the banners and handwritten the sentiments. I attached the banners to the airplanes with thin wire so they do look like they are being pulled through the sky! Dave (the recipient) actually flies planes and he really liked the card too!
Good luck with the challenge and pop over to the challenge blog for more inspiration and how to enter!

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 33
It's time for another Fetch A Sketch challenge! I'm am the hostess this fortnight and here is my sketch:
I know it looks a little complicated and I wondered if I'd be able to make it work but after a bit of thinking I came up with this! I've used a pre coloured Fred She Said image - Angel Patience and added her to a scalloped circle die along with some vellum Marianne Creatables snowflakes.
The backing paper I've had in my stash for ages so much so that I found it at the bottom of the shoe box so it must have been there quite some time! The little snowflakes are punches. I've made and handwritten the banner for a personalised Christmas card.
Good luck with the Fetch A Sketch challenge - hope you can join us!

Jellypark Stamp Spotlight & Freebie! Girl with Sign & Boy with Sign
I've got two cards to share with you today - the first one - Girl With Sign - is our Jellypark Stamp Spotlight, and the second one - Boy With Sign - is the freebie on the Jellypark Club! But be quick! The digi freebie is not around for a long time, and if you join up right now, there is a fab 50% off code that you can use across the store but its only available for a short short time - so be quick!!
I've coloured both images with Promarkers and then cut them out. I've handwritten the sentiments too - the girl one is for a friend at work and her youngest, Grace, has started school this time - I remember seeing her for the first time when she was 2 days old!! Her uniform is yellow hence the yellow theme!
And the Boy with Sign is the current Jellypark Club freebie (if you're quick!) and Claire actually drew the image for me some time ago as I wanted a boy one - lucky me eh?! I've used one of my circle Nestie dies to layer the images on and then added a thin handcut border.
Papers are from a Samantha Walker kit - A to Z Mega collection (I got it in the $1 sale!) and I've cut up different elements for the top and bottom borders. A bit of inking and some faux stitching and its all done!
Hurry - get over to Jellypark and sign up for the club if you've not already done so! Fab freebies await plus discount codes too!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Crafting For All Seasons: School Days
Diva's By Design: For A Child

Polkadoodle Challenge 37 - Ice Cream Colours
Friday's posts are like buses for me - none for a while and then all come around the corner together! New challenge time at Polkadoodles and the theme this week is:
I've gone for a raspberry ripple theme and used various Polkadoodle papers that I found in my stash along with an Emma Canning digi - Millie Birthday - which I've coloured with Promarkers. I've used two of my fancy X Cut dies to create the card shape and also to frame the image.
The fancy swirly dies at the side are Marianne Creatables which have also been cut from Polkadoodle papers (I first cut them with thick card and then layered them up for extra strength).
The rather luminous felt flowers at the bottom of the card are not quite that bright in real life and are a much better colour match than they look! I've used my Die-Namics rolled flower dies for them and I think I'm getting to grips with how to make them although when I try paper or vellum they look terrible, so for the time being I'm sticking with felt!
Good luck with the challenge - for more details, pop over to the challenge blog.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Simply Create Too Challenge 22 - Anything Goes!
It's time for another Simply Create Too Challenge and the theme this fortnight is a nice and easy one:
I made this card for Jacob's birthday last week and despite knowing the date, I still was finishing it off the night before! The footballer image, football and sentiment have been coloured with Promarkers and are by Gordon Fraser. I've used various papers from Funky Hand plus some doodling around the edges and inking.
I drew the football pitch (that's why it looks a little wonky!) and added a silver die cut number 7 to the front. Jacob actually plays in a team - Junior Gardeners and their kit is thick horizontal black and white stripes but I thought red was a bit more brigher for his card! The team have their first match on Saturday so I'm hoping its not raining!

Good luck with the challenge and for more details and inspiration, pop over to Simply Create Too!

Happy Birthday Samuel!
Happy Birthday to my little racing car driver! Who would have thought 9 years ago that you'd have no fear whilst travelling with your rear a few inches from the tarmac at almost 60 miles an hour! Perhaps I should have known because you arrived without much warning and at speed!
He has his first ever outdoor race on Sunday (in his own kart too!) so I'm rather hoping its not raining as I don't fancy being wet for 7 hours! The boys have their own karting blog if you fancy seeing what almost 60 miles per hour looks like a few inches from the tarmac - the link is in my right hand side sidebar!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 24 - Vintage
Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and this fortnight the theme is:
I have a fab new sponsor - Cardmaker's Delights and Tracey the owner and creator of the fab toppers sent me a rather generous selection so I could make a sample! There are 5 sets of the winners choice to be won and to have a look at what Tracey offers, just click on the banner below:
I've used various toppers a number of times over the past months and I can honestly say that they are wonderful quality - thick card and amazing colour. They are the size of the old cigarette cards and can be layered and matted to co-ordinate with other images and papers. Great to use when you don't have time (or can't be bothered!) to colour an image! And they don't take up a lot of storage either - the only downside is trying to decide which collections to buy as there are lots of choice!
I've used Prima 6x6 papers - North Country Collection both for the card base and layering plus some thin organza chocolate brown ribbon and some jet black half pearls. I've had the papers around 6 months and this is the first time I've broken into them. Terrible eh?! Really quick and simple to make. And I've also discovered the the top of the garden waste wheelie bin is a good place to take a photo especially when its nice and sunny! The bin was clean!
Not my typical Christmas card make, but I actually quite like it!
Good luck with the Crimbo Crackers challenge - for more details, pop over to the blog.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Anything Goes Challenge: Early Christmas
Ladybug Crafts Ink: Christmas Photo Inspiration (the red)
LEJ Designs: Winter Wishes

Girl With Balloon
And here is the second of two new Jellypark digi releases this week! I'm only a few days late blogging them but good things come to those who wait! And Jellypark is all so good!
Sometimes when I'm colouring an image I have a specific colour palette in mind or at least have picked some papers out of my rather large (and overflowing) shoe box of off cuts. So this one has a bit of a pink theme going on.
I'm not sure of where the spotty paper has come from but it was in two halves hence the ribbon down the centre! The image is Girl with Balloon and Present which I've coloured with Promarkers plus a little glossy accents on the balloon and liquid pearls on the gift.
Ribbon is from my stash and I've layered the image onto some offcuts of card plus doodled around the edge. A nice, quick and easy card to make.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
City Crafter Challenge: Polka Dots
Created With Love: Birthday
Love To Create: Ribbon or Twine
Squigglefly: Polkadots
Crazy Challenge: Seeing Spots
Totally Stampalicious: Ribbon

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye
I did warn you that I would be late with blogging the Jellypark new releases for this fortnight - the weekend passed in a blur and before I knew it, Monday has arrived and gone!
Here is the first of the two new releases - Waving Girl Hello which I've coloured with Aquamarkers. The sentiment is part of the image and I've cut them out and layered onto some scrap brown card to give it a bit of a lift. I don't normally use this colour palette but now I've used it, I quite like it! I've added some stickles to the flower in her hair although you can't quite see it!
The papers are from my stash and I have a feeling its a Funky Hand paper although not sure which cd (sorry). The flowers are also from my stash and are various ones that I've collected over the years and therefore are from various packets. Gold brads through the layered centres plus two square gold brads on the bottom.
And that's it! Don't forget to join the Jellypark Club if you haven't already - its free, you get freebies and special discount codes!
And why, say hello, wave goodbye? Well, I am rather partial to a Marc Almond song and this is a rather good one! And I didn't know he was born in Southport!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Kenny K's Krafty Krew: Autumn Hues
Sunday Stampers: Riot of Colour
The Squirrel and the Fox: Anything Goes
2 Sisters: Fall and optional extra is glitter
Send A Smile for Kids: Cute Fall

Use It Tuesday - Guest Designer - Anything Goes
I won a recent Use It Tuesday challenge and I get to Guest Design with the team for a challenge! And the theme for the fortnight is:
So dig out your old stash and get creating! And don't forget to list in your post what you have used (and how old it is!)
I've gone rather vintage. The paper is from a 6x6 paper stack - Papermania Simply Elegant and I've slightly trimmed it down to fit the card blank (which is actually the newest thing at around 6 months old!) The ribbon is left over from some Wedding Stationery I made 3 years ago and the paler layer under the patterned paper is part of one of the Wedding Invitations that the printing went wonky on (I kept it because you never know when you need it for layering!)
The dress uses a Sizzix die for the bodice shape and I used a compass for the skirt part. Its cut from an old car magazine, and when I say old, its from the 1930's - older than my parents which is a weird thought and feeling! A bit of inking plus some flat back pearls (had these around 6 months too) and its done!
The dress has been added with foam pads because, basically, it wouldn't lie flat on the card and it looked better on foam pads!
Thank you to Use It Tuesday and hope you can join in with the challenge!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Challenges 4 Everybody: Anything Goes
Come and Get it Challenges: Tic, Tac, Toe (diagonal - pearls, free, ribbon)

Hybrid Chick Caravan: Pop It Up
The Ribbon Girls: Pearls
Crafty Calendar: Browns and Creams

Jellypark Challenge - All About Children
It's time for a new Jellypark challenge! The theme this fortnight is:
I've used (for the first time!) this fab digi stamp called Follow Me and all proceeds from the stamp (and other Little Havens Stamps) will be donated to Little Havens which is the charity of 2012 for Jellypark. The stamps are only £1.25 each so they are worth every penny!
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it out so that the larger flag looks like it is being waved around! The papers are Samantha Walker - Retro Road Trip and I've added a faux stitching around the edges.
Buttons and twine are from my stash. I couldn't think of a sentiment (or be bothered to stamp one!) so I've not added one although I can at a later date.
There are also two new release digi stamps which I'll do my best to remember to blog over the weekend! But if you can't wait to see them, have a look on the challenge blog as they will be on there too!

Simply Create Too Challenge 21 - Midway Extra - So Old / Vintage
It's the Midway post for the Simply Create Too challenge where we provide (hopefully!) a little more inspiration for the current challenge which is:
I've gone for a retro feel and used a fab download set - Women with Attitude from Printable Heaven. I printed the A4 sheet onto white card, cut out the image and sentiment, inked it up a little and added a dotted line around the edge.
Red card is from my stash (I keep offcuts cos you just don't know when you'll need them!) and the printed papers are Circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket plus some organza black ribbon.
Hope you can join in with the challenge!

Happy Birthday Jacob!
My little (well, not so little these days!) man Jacob is 7 today!! And here he is holding the Fair Play trophy from a recent tournament that his football team Junior Gardeners played in!
It's all go again next Thursday as its Samuel's Birthday!

Jellypark Stamp Spotlight - Ice Cream Van
Once again I've forgotten to blog the Jellypark Stamp Spotlight post! In my defence I've had a lot on this week - full day of karting (Samuel now his his own kart so photos to follow!) plus an arrive and drive session at 3 Sisters at Wigan, then back to school and today is Jacob's 7th Birthday. So I can be forgiven?!
Anyway, the week in between challenges the Jellypark Design Team feature a particular digi stamp and showcase it. And this (last) week it was the turn of the Ice Cream Van!
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then directly coloured the card blank with Aquamarkers and added the seagulls in the sky plus a faux stitched edge.
The image has been added to the card blank with foam pads so it stands proud a little and I've also added liquid pearls to the ice cream bits. If you like the look of the stamp, its yours to buy for £1.25 from the store! And if you sign up to the Jellypark Club you can get a freebie (whilst available) and its all free to join!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Dude Time Doodles Challenge - Shades of Blue
Morning! We had a rather good day karting yesterday - Samuel, (since last week) is now the proud owner of his own kart and of course we had a full day testing it! I took loads of photos so will show then at some point (my Dad's camera so I don't have the software to download them). Or, if you want to see what it looks like when going at around 58 miles per hour with your behind a few inches from the tarmac, have a look at their blog - Samuel and Jacob Kart Racing!
Anyway! Time for a new Dude Time Doodles challenge and the theme this week is:
I've used Duck the Snowball Warrior and coloured him with Promarkers and a little stickles. I made the card base myself with my trusty compass, inked the edges and then added a faux running stitch (I feel it keeps the image from 'falling off the edge'!)
I've added some shiny silver confetti snowflakes with foam pads to the card for a bit of bling!
Hope you can join in with the challenge - for more details on how to enter just pop over to the challenge blog!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Anything Goes Challenge: Early Christmas
Crafty Sentiments: Male Card
Creative Card Crew: Christmas
