Daring Card Makers - With A Flourish

Welcome to a new Daring Card Makers Challenge and the theme this week is

I was asked to make a 40th Birthday card for a work colleague with a pink and flower theme so this is what I've made:

I found the papers in my stash and I've cut the numbers by using my own template and then layered a Marianne Creatables swirly die cut over the top, cutting it where it went over the edge.  The flowers are also a die cut and I've added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edges of the numbers and card.

Ribbon is from my stash and the half pearls too.  I've handwritten the sentiments.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Our challenges each last for two weeks and as long as you have coloured your image yourself then you can enter!  Up to a maximum of twice per challenge!  This week we are sponsored by Fred She Said and I've used Dancing Penguin and coloured him with Promarkers.  I've created the background using Polkadoodles Layering Trees die and Scenic Landscapes die.

I've used a cute Simply Print image from Lily of the Valley which is no longer available and have added a little glitter glue here and there to it.  The paper is from Polkadoodles - Ho Ho Ho Christmas 6x6 pad and I've inked the edges and added a doodled border.

The poinsettia is one I've had for ages from Hobbycraft (bought a few packs of them in a January sale years ago), frame is a Spellbinders die and ribbon, embroidery thread and charm are from my stash.

Little Miss Muffet Stamps - Challenge 198 - Inspiration

We are half way through the current Little Miss Muffet challenge and I've used this cute Swings n Slides Lil Monster digi, coloured him up with Promarkers and added him to some really old papers I found in my stash - Debbie Mumm - Nursery Rhyme and some are glittered.

The sentiment stamp was a magazine freebie from a long time ago and I've added some waxed thread from my stash for accents.  Good luck with the challenge!

Dad's 70th - Y is for

And here is the final page of my Dad's 70th Birthday card, this week giving the letter Y from the work seventY.  I've used Weekend Walter from Dr Digi, 70's TV and also Coffee Table (the tv covers the daffs).  All coloured with Promarkers.

The floorboards are made with an off cut of kraft card that I've made to look like wood and the wallpaper is a magazine freebie that I've had for an age.  Large letter is chipboard that I've coloured with a black marker and the other letters are cut from my Sizzix alphabet - Round-A-Bout.

Daring Card Makers - Turn Up The Beads

It's Friday so time for a new Daring Cardmakers Challenge!  The theme has been set and it is:

So we want to see beads on your projects!  I've used a Polkadoodles die - Merry Christmas which I've cut three times from some deep red card I had in my stash and then layered together.

The burgundy ribbon is also from my stash along with the seed beads.  The cardstock that I've used is lightly ribbed off-white card which was donated to me from one of my cousins a number of years ago after she made all her Wedding stationery!

This week we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and I've used Urban and Modern Boy, coloured him with Promarkers and used some scrap papers I found in my stash as I am trying so hard to use up what I have as it seems to have accumulated some what!

I cut the banners with an unbranded die and the stars are X Cut; I've hand written the sentiment with a white gel pen.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Forgotten Technique or Anything Goes

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme for the fortnight is as always

The DT were challenged to use a forgotten technique so I dug out some spray inks (some were gifted to me quite a few years ago by a friend who was having a clear out and I've bought two since!) - I've used silver, blue, purple and green on the off cut of card before layering my Little Dude - Cool Dude

I've used this cute Pick Me Up Truck and coloured it with Promarkers.  Papers are from Polkadoodles - Great Outdoors A5 pad - I've chopped and changed one of the sheets to get the imagery that I wanted and then added some wooden stars from my stash and some twine.

I've used Schrodinger and coloured him up with Promarkers plus added glossy accents on his eyes and nose.  The organza ribbon is from my stash and I've added a background using a Sizzix embossing folder and the outer part of the Bubbleiious Frames die from Polkadoodles.
