Craft 4 Charity CD - Funky Hand examples

And here are my examples of the Funky Hand papers on the Craft4Charity cd which I mentioned in a post earlier this week.

Each card uses the backing papers and some added embellishments from my stash.

I won't go into details for each one as I think they are quite self explanatory, but the letters are also included in the Funky Hand collection as an extended alphabet (extra vowels etc). The star and flower cards have been made using my own templates.

On the Craft4Charity website the door hangers have been attributed to Jozza - well, they are mine!! And to be honest it always sends a shiver down my spine when I see my name on, so quite happy for Jozza to take the glory!

By buying the cd you also get papers from other famous designers and you will be helping to raise much needed funds for Retts Syndrome.

Pinkie Pops Sketch - Funky Fairy Challenge 37

The Funky Fairy challenge this week is a sketch:

And here is my interpretation:

This is quite a straight forward card! I've used Pinkie Pops papers throughout; one of the backing squares has been attached, upon which I've layered two flowers. All the flowers have been secured with black brads. The ribbon is from my stash (the black was 10p from Blackburn market, and the pink from around some card blanks!)

Thanks a Bunch! Penny Black Challenge 18

I do enjoy the Penny Black challenges! This little piggy image with bunch of flowers was coloured in ages ago and then I didn't know what to do with it - so it has been languishing in my box of 'will do something with someday' until now!

I've used a Funky Hand collection called Boys and Girls that is only available via here - the cd features a number of collections from famous designers and is all in aid of raising funds for Rett Syndrome. I'll show examples I made using the papers over the weekend as these are very nice indeed papers!

Friday Sketchers Challenge Sketch 23 - My Friend

The Friday Sketchers challenge for this week (cutting it fine but still just in time!) is the following sketch:


I've used two papers from the same collection from Funky Seasons and used a compass to get the semi-circles as I didn't trust myself free-hand! All edges have been inked with pink. The Tilda image was sent to me by Allison, and its been coloured with watercolour paints and pencils with gold glitter wings. The sentiment stamp is Dovecraft and was in the blog candy win from Jozza a while ago. Ribbon and gem from my stash.

Stamp Something Challenge - Something For A Friend

I am now back in the swing of challenges and this is the first one for the week! The Stamp Something challenge is:

to do is create something for a friend. It can be a card with a sentiment about friendship, a gift for a friend or a scrapbook page that highlights some fun times!! We don't always have a chance to tell our friends how special they are, so take this chance to let someone know how important they are!

I've made this for a friend who has gone through a lot over the last 2 years and it seems that history is repeating itself. It's just to tell her to keep hanging on!

Backing paper is from Funky Fairy - it was the free download for last weeks Halloween challenge but I didn't get round to making a card, so decided to use it on this one instead. The orange card is from my stash, along with the ivory card. The monkey is a Cuttlebug die which I have coloured with watercolour pencils and chalks. The eyelets are from the bottomless bag sent from Kath, and the sentiment has been stamped with the trusty Studio G alphabet set.

Look What I've Got!!

These little beauties arrived in a lovely box all the way from the USA!! Martha Stewart edging punches! A big thank you to Enfys for sending them and I've already had a play with the double scallop one!


It took me a while to realise that the pattern either side of the actual punch is to match up the pattern so it becomes continuous....... Doh!

Expect to see some creations using these in the near future!

WIP - Camper Van Swop

Although I've not done any challenges for a few days, I have been working on other things! One of those other things is the Camper Van Swop. As my swop partner is also in the process of 'doing' I can only show where I am upto at the moment.


I'm still a little undecided as to how it will all come together and it could involve ribbon! So watch this space for what I finally come up with!

I'm Back!

But not got anything new to post! The buyers at the craft fair at Ordsall Hall have been generous and left me with ample stock for my next craft fair on 15 November in Halifax.

I think it was a bad combination of a glorious late summer day and buyers wanting to keep their pennies in their pockets to the extent that I didn't do particularly well.

However, I am not complaining as I met some lovely virtual people Sue and Helen who are now real! And also the girls at the beautiful jewellery stall at the side of me, with whom potential and actual horror stories were swopped!

A Good Reason Why ........

...... I've not done any new challenges this week, is because I am desperately trying to make enough stock for the Craft Fair on Sunday 12 October at Ordsall Hall in Salford!

I hadn't realised how low on toppers, embellishments and die cuts I was, so I am now attempting to get 30 hours out of a day! And the day job certainly gets in the way at times like these!

However, I think I'm ok for Christmas Cards!

Ahoy Matey! It's A Friday Sketchers Challenge!

The Friday Sketchers Challenge for the week is this sketch:

Again I've used the new Funky Hand Salt and Pepper download (it is so versatile!) and I did a little yelp when I saw the skull and crossbones paper as I've been wanting some of that for a while, for those teenager cards! I've ripped the skull and crossbones panel and then inked it with black for a bit more of a grunge look. The pirate hat has been coloured with watercolour pencils and is from Allison. The silver strips have been Cuttlebug embossed with Swiss Dots and are attached via 3d foam pads.

I'm thinking that the card could do with a sentiment underneath the hat..... perhaps I'll add one later!
