Another New Wardrobe!

The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge is a colour theme with inspiration to be taken from this photo (wish my house was this tidy!!)

And I've made another expecting card! Well the stamp was out and it had been inked so it seemed rude not to use it! The colours in my card look a little washed out - however in real life they are not!

I've used papers from Funky Hand - these were part of a freebie to celebrate the launch of their monthly challenge, which I've inked and rounded the edges.

The image has been layered onto lime green post-it notes and grape pearlescent card. Again the image stamp is Inkadinkadoo and I've coloured it with watercolour paints to match the colour scheme. The ribbon, button and hat pin are from my stash - I've added extra beads to the hat pin.

Now I must remember to make lots of new baby cards with all these expectant mothers!

New Wardrobe

I won one of Carol's Advent Calendar giveaways in the run up to Christmas and I won some fab Stampin' Up ribbon! So when I saw the current Stamp With Us challenge - this sketch - I knew I could join in with my ribbon! The ribbon is grosgrain 'Tempting Turquoise' and I've used a card blank which I have shaped with my nesties and added paper from Funky Hand - Dreams Come True. The layered paper is also from the same cd.

The stamp is by Inkadinkado and I've coloured it with watercolour paints, plus some inking around the edges.

The fimo star is made by me and I've had it lying around for ages just wanting to be used! This card will come in rather handy as a few of my friends are expecting!

Charmed I'm Sure!

It's been a while again since I've entered a Dotties World challenge and because I found a number of charms in my stash, I thought this challenge would be perfect as it is:

Charmed I'm Sure!

I've used a pre coloured Dottie image (to save a bit of time as I think I've managed to loose some somewhere this week) and the colours from this particular collection from Funky Daze matched it perfectly!

The little charm was given to me by Nikky (fanks!) and goes really well with the image. You'll have to excuse the slightly out of focus charm in the picture below - but at least the organza ribbon is in focus eh?!

So there you go - a quick and easy card!

Turquoise and Yellow

The Stampin' Chic challenge this week is a colour combination:

Turquoise and Yellow
These are not colours that readily spring to mind for me to use, however after a quick look through The Big One paper stack (it is slowly getting used!) I found a set of turquoise based papers and picked this one. The stamp is a first time used Inkadinkado which I bought a few weeks ago as I think that most of my work colleagues, friends and nursery staff are expecting (more reveal themselves almost on a daily basis - I'll be thinking I'll need to join in if I'm not careful!) I do like this stamp and will be using it more!

In fact, I also like the colour combination - the yellow layered card I found in my stash box thingy (I put all my one tone off-cuts in one and another one has all my patterned off-cuts - very organised!) I've coloured it with watercolour pencils.

The flowers and button are from Jozza - the flowers are actually held together by a giant brad with the button (and some ric rac ribbon) stuck to the top. I have (badly) inked the flowers in an attempt to tone them down so that's why they look a little grotty!

Expecting

Ha ha! Not me! Here is a little something I created over the weekend. Backing paper from my recent candy win from Jozza, slightly chalked around the edges. And would you believe it, I had some ribbon that matched exactly! The tape around the ribbon said 54p and I think there was just short of 3 meters of it. Bargain eh?!

The stamped image is my recent 'is this 99p too' find from The Paper Mill Shop - I've been after a pregnant stamp for a while, and could not believe my luck when I found this! Its coloured with watercolour pencils and the edge has tiny gold metallic gel dots, as does the layered bit behind - just does not show up too well on the photo (for which I blame the lousy weather).

And because I was so pleased with the card, I did another exactly the same, but as a brunette.
