Good Luck Kitty

I've been busy at work. Not just working (although I do a lot of that!) but making leaving and good luck cards as it seems that now is the time to move on to pastures new for quite a few people. So I've made this card - a tee-pee - for one of my colleagues - she loves cats so Schrodinger from Dr Digi was a good call!

I've used The Big One papers which I've had for an age, coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it out with a Spellbinder die. The letters are in our organisation colours and is a Sizzix die. A few charms tied on with embroidery thread and its good to go! Plenty of room inside for everyone to write messages on too!

Forgotten Funkies - Rainbow Polkadots

Its the last Friday of the month so its time for a Forgotten Funky!! And this month its the turn of the Rainbow Polkadots download. I've been going through all the old crafting magazines that were piled up and I've saved all the inspriation I could find and I came across making tee-pee cards, so here is one!

Really easy to make - 3 squares the same size, score diagnally tip to tip then fold in half and then glue all together!

I've used a Spellbinders die and stamped Our Betty - Your Special Day acrylic stamp in the centre and then coloured with Promarkers. I've also added liquid pearls around the edge of the card and image plus some half pearls too. I've secured the layers at the back of the card with a slider and a brad so it will stand up!

Perfect Weather For Golf

Ah, there is nothing like a good round of golf! Especially as the weather in the UK is so fantastic at the moment. However, as Hole in One Hal knows, its the early bird that catches the worm, or in this case the entire golf course to himself. Which is no bad thing as he does like to exagerate back at the Club House just how well he managed the round.....

Buy the digi and the backing paper together from Dr Digi and save £1 in the store!

The letters and grass plus the balls are all Sizzix die cuts - I've added some flocks of birds to the sky and made the little flag myself!

Quick Circles

I'm trying to use up all the scraps I have in my rather large over flowing shoe box. However its not going down very fast! These papers are left over from making a wordbook and use papers from Funky Hand - Colour Me Happy cd. I've used circle dies plus a wooden butterfly.

I've handwritten the Sizzix tag and made the scalloped edge from punched hearts. Some half pearls and doodling around the edges - and that's it!

Polkadoodles Challenge - Add Some Twinkles!

The Polkadoodles Design Team have got more challenge inspriation for you this week and the current challenge theme is: Add Some Twinkle! I've kept it rather clean and simple this week and directly printed one of the cute characters from Festive Hollibobs directly onto my card blank. I've also used one of the pre-coloured digis and simply added some glitter glue, a snowflake charm and sparkly red embroidery thread.

I actually printed 4 of the pre-coloured images onto card blanks as I couldn't decide which one to use - so those will come in handy for last minute cards! Good luck with the challenge!

Get To The Point

I think there is a lot to be said for getting right to the point. Why say something in 10 words when just a few will do? And if they don't like it, well, that's their look-out; you did use some jolly paper - what more could you do?

Sentiment taken from Birthday Sentiments 1 from the good Dr Digi. And only £1.50 with plenty of others that you can use to insult the remainder of your friends and family!

I've used the remainder of a die cut to frame the sentiment and added a dotted black fineliner around the edges. The papers are left overs from a previous project so I had to be rather careful how I printed the sentiment onto it and the alignment! I hate to throw anything away and usually have a few die cut frames lying around that I can use! Even the kraft card is left over from something!

Tweet Birthday Girl!

I must point out that any darkish spots on the card are not really on the card but dirty handmarks on the French windows which the sun shone through and onto my card.... got the boys to thank for that! Printed the image which is from From The Heart Stamps - Birthday Chicks and coloured with Promarkers

I've used some new glitter glue that I bought from Hobbycraft on Friday - 2 for 3 so I treated myself. It's a bit clumpy and not as fine as stickles but its not bad for the price! Sentiment came with the digi and I've used D'vine swirls embossing folder on an offcut of card. Half pears from my stash (an ebay purchase sometime ago - a mixed bag of colours!) And that's it!

Simply Create Too Challenge - Christmas In July

We are at the point where its the mid-post challenge for Simply Create Too - the current challenge is Christmas In July and for my creation I've used papers from Papermania, 6x6 paper stack - A Wonderful Christmas Time. I've had these papers for about 3 years and the image probably at least a year - bought from ebay and kinda forgotten about.

I've used a cute Lily of the Valley pre coloured topper and simply added ribbon from my stash and some stickles for sparkle and some half pearls.

Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following:

Sizzling Sausages

Ah, a typical British summer. You know when the mercury is rising when the unforgettable smell of sizzling sausages wafts through your open window. However, BBQ Bill from Dr Digi has issues more often than not with his sausages and he just cannot fathom out why they never look as good as the serving suggestion on the pack......

I've coloured Bill with Promarkers and printed the background brick effect paper from Polkadoodles Work and Play v2. The advertising sign is one side of a box of tissues, which I bought especially to use with this image and the box has sat on my desk at work for quite a number of months until it finally ran out of tissues! And the grass is a Marianne Creatables die - it should really be icicles but I think it looks great as grass too!

There is a new Jellypark challenge and the theme is Red, White and Blue!

I've used the fab footballer digi stamp and coloured him with Promarkers. The papers are a mix of Funky Hand and Polkadoodles and were offcuts from previous projects, and I've added some X Cut stars.

I've also added black card underneath the layers and some faux stitching. Hope you can join in the challenge!

Polkadoodle Challenge - Red, White and Blue

Time for the extra inspiration for the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme is Red, White and Blue

I've used a fab image from the Work and Play Collection 2 and coloured him with Promarkers. The papers are also from the same cd and I've added some X Cut stars.

The die cut letters I've had for an age in my stash and to make them a bit more interesting I've added a black dotted line around the edges and covered them with glossy accents.

Good luck with the challenge and there is lots of inspiration on the blog!
