White

Sometimes it's nice to be able to make something that does not use patterned papers! I've made this Wedding Word book with white embossed card (Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls) plus letters created in Wod Art.

I've dotted around the edge of each letter with a silver gel pen and added different embellishments all from my stash. I've made the hat pin myself and added seed beads to the end to stop any sharp surprises!

Bug-eyed Ladybird

Now this was one quick card to make! I've got quite a few bits of off-cut card this shape and I need to make something with them and, well, this card just happened!

The Allsorts challenge this week is:

Summer Days

The image is from Soft Pencil as I won a gift certificate last week and I chose this one along with some others. Lovely to colour - used Promarkers for this and have added two tiny wobbly eyes to the ladybird.

I've used my Nesties to create the shapes and have dotted a fine black line around the edges. The ribbon I got from Fantastic Ribbons (and yes they are!)

I think I'll make more of these cards and put them into a gift set of perhaps 5. Mainly to use up the off-cuts of card that I have as they are seeming to take over my spare card box!

Housework...

Another card and another challenge today! This is for the Allsorts challenge which asks for:

Black, White and one other Colour

I chose the image (sentiment was part of it) from Bugaboo when I came second in one of their recent challenges. I am a BIG fan of Bugaboo as the digital images are just right up my street and they are really great to colour too!

I've used red card from my stash for layering (it is a shiny red card!) plus papers from the Salt and Pepper download from Funky Hand. The sentiment came with the image and I've just inked the edges, rounded them and layered it.


I've coloured the image with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue on her headscarf (although once again, it was not dry when I took the photo!) I've added eyelets and threaded thin satin black ribbon through, tying 3 bows on the end.

And for those who know me, life IS too short for housework!! I'm going to get a lot of mileage out of this image plus the other 3 that I picked!!

Almost There!

This is almost the last page of the acrylic / acetate album for Hayley and Stephen - I just have one more to do which is the back cover (and the page on the reverse), so it's nearly all over!!

That is until I go to another gaggle, clutch, gathering or entanglement of Weddings. Or what ever the proper term is.

Anyway, I could simply not resist the Allsorts challenge this week, as it is:

Weddings!

Perfect! So here are the detail shots I took at Hayley and Stephen's Wedding. Barbara, Hayley's Mum supplied all the flowers and there were loads of them and all totally beautiful! Hayley's bouquet was a really unusual colour.

And the car was Stephen's Step-Dad's - how fantastic (and handy!)

I've used Papermania 'Ornate Brown Clusters' 12 x 12 double sided paper, ribbon remaining from the Wedding Stationery and pins made by me - using seed beads, again left overs and some long thin pearl beads that were actually on my Wedding dress when I did the deed nearly 10 years ago (and Hayley came to our Reception!) Well, they were left overs as my Mum made my dress.

Chocolate and Marshmallow in a Sketch!

The Allsorts challenge this week is a combination of this sketch:


and a colour theme of:

Chocolate and Marshmallow

Again I've used the wonderful cupcake decoupage on Candy Doodles cd - I printed the two sheets out so they both fitted onto a sheet of A4, layered the elements and have added a bit of glitter glue here and there (sorry but took the photo before it was dry!)

The two backing sheets are also Polkadoodles - the spotty one is from the same cd and the dark chocolate brown is from Sugar Birdies. The sentiment is also from Candy Doodles.

All edges have been inked with pink and then brown ink. And its a simple as that! I do like this cupcake and I'm going to struggle to send any of the cards I make with it as I want them all for myself!
