Polkadoodles Challenge - Anything Goes or Winter Birthday

It's time for a new Polkdoodles challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to create something for a Winter Birthday.  I love the papers with the Posy Doodles Papercraft Kit 2 so one of the sheets was perfect for the card!  I lightly distressed the edges of the papers - plus its good to use up some of the scraps for extra layers and interest.  The image I've used is Ruby Celebrations and she has been coloured with Promarkers.  I cut two of the sentiment Celebrate from a scrap of the papers and then covered with glossy accents and then added some really fine glitter I have for extra sparkle.  Some organza ribbon from my stash and half pearls were added.

Good luck with the challenge!

Male Themed Gift Bag

I decided to make a male themed gift bag, basically because sometimes you just need to step away from the pinks and yellows!

I've used two sheets from the Heartfelt Christmas 8x8 paper pack and created a gift bag that would fit a cd or dvd.  I've punched holes in the top and threaded some garden twine through for the handles (I bought a rather large ball a while ago so have to use it up somehow!)

I then cut a tag using the Posydoodles Tags die from an off-cut of kraft card, again punched a hole in the top.

The sentiment has been cut using the Celebrate sentiment die - I coloured an off-cut of white card with Promarkers to match the greens on the bag.

To finish, I dotted a line around the edge of the tag with a black fineliner pen and added a half pearl.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Family Photo Keepsake and Colour Palette

It's time for a new Polkadoodles challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make a family photo keepsake and to use a colour palette:

I had a rummage through my scraps and found off-cuts from the Sticks and Bones download which fitted perfectly with the colour palette.  I used a kraft card blank and the Posydoodles Celebrate die (I cut this twice for extra strength).  I made a frame so that a photo can be added to the centre using the Fabulous Mitred Frames and Things die.

The stars were cut with an X Cut die and from scraps I found.  Good luck with the challenge!
