Sweet Chick

I almost forgot to blog this! It's the free progressive monthly challenge at From The Heart Stamps - the image is free as long as you participate each month with the given image. I've coloured Loves Me Birdbrain with Promarkers and used offcuts of papers from Echo Park Summerdays download - I had to be rather creative with the scraps I had!

I layered the image onto a die cut and then added the sunflower charm with some embroidery thread. Quick and easy!

It's my turn again to post on the Funky Hand blog and for another few days you can snag this wonderful I Love You Sew download for just £1!  I've been creative with some scraps left over from previous projects and along with a black fineliner pen and some ribbon - it didn't take me long!

I used an X Cut die for the heart and a Nesties die for the aperture - the hearts have been added with a few foam pads for height.

Monster Fun

You know when you see a digi stamp and you NEED to have it? Well, this was one of those moments!  This is Monster Sundae and is From The Heart Stamps.  I've coloured it with Promarkers and used glitter glue on the sundae and glossy accents on the eyes.

Printed paper is from Funky Hand - Wishes and Kisses cd which is a bargain at the moment at only £1 and there are hundreds of papers, images and sentiments on the cd!!

I've added some black ribbon, mounted the image and paper onto black card, added a fineliner running stitch and two buttons.  Perfect for a little boy!

Hearts

Another love themed card using the I Love You Sew papers from Funky Hand - don't forget the download collection is only £1 during February!  I've attempted to use scraps for this card and got the inspiration from my set of X Cut dies as they were in the packet!

I've layered the hearts up with foam pads and inked the edges before doing so.  Kraft card blank from my stash along with the charm and embroidery thread.  The sentiment is a Studio G little alphabet stamp set.  A bit of faux stitching around the edge of the card and it's complete!

A Little Thank You

Just a quick card - didn't take long to colour once I do see daylight! I've used Surprised Birdbrain - a From The Heart digi stamp; there are two images and I've used this one.  I actually was lucky enough to win it last weekend via a Facebook comp!

I've coloured it with Promarkers and used a very worn blue inkpad for the sky and the papers are Echo Park Summerday - all left overs from a previous project so had to do some clever joining!

The sentiment is also part of the set and the embroidery thread and button are from my stash.  Cardstock is slightly ribbed / embossed and was a generous donation from my cousin after making her Wedding stationery!

Simply Create Too - Challenge 79 - Anything Goes

There is a new Simply Create Too challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Anything Goes

I've used papers from Lori Whitlock - Fresh Air along with a Spellbinders die (the fancy one) and an X Cut heart diecut.  The ribbon and half pearls are from my stash - the heart is actually a charm from a rather gaudy bracelet from the pound shop - also got a number of other heart charms too which are great as they are light and perfect for cards!

The sentiment stamp is a retired Lily of The Valley  stamp and I've added the faux stitching with a black fineliner.  Good luck with the challenge!

I've printed the image directly onto the white linen effect cardstock - I used one of the pre-coloured digi's from Work and Play 5 - Festive Hollibobs and simply added some glitter glue on his hat and around the edge of the card.  The embroidery thread and charm are from my stash.

I'm old enough to remember these although I never actually owned or had access to one......  But I do remember being amazed at how 'instant' the photo was.  And how bad the photos were!

Camera digi is available to buy in the Dr Digi store for the retro sum of £1.50.  I've used Studio G alphabet stamps for the sentiment, X Cut star dies, a little camera charm and Promarkers for colouring.

Papers are offcuts from making a wordbook - Blue Christmas download from Funky Hand - I just don't like to throw anything away!  The sentiment comes with the digi and the embroidery thread is from my stash.  I've added a faux running stitch around the edge of the panels, image and sentiment with a black fineliner.
