Get Funky Challenge - Celebrating Spring

It's my turn to hopefully provide some inspiration for the current Get Funky! challenge which has been set by the very talented Kathy and the theme for the month is:

Celebrating Spring

And as always the main rule is that you MUST use a Funky Hand product in your creation. If you don't have anything Funky Hand (why not?!) there is always the Funky Freebie to be snagged each month that fits the challenge theme perfectly.
I made my Mum a gift bag and matching card with the offcuts. And she was rather impressed! The papers are all from Retro Fun download - this is a wordbook download but it comes with some A4 sheets which I've used. Plus the Flutterby Flowers download.

A Martha Stewart punch has been used for the strips and I cut the lettering with my Cuttlebug Baby Face alphabet dies. I actually stuck the strips upside down on my card by mistake and by the time I realised it was too late. Ah well!

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 19 - Midway Extra

It's time for the Midway Extra on Fetch A Sketch and a reminder of the current sketch:
And our two (yes two!) sponsors for the challengeAnd here is my Midway Extra card. I've used offcuts of Shabby Saturday download from Funky Hand - there was just enough to cover the card blank and I found some Flutterby Flowers butterflies that I'd printed on some different Shabby Saturday papers. As I only had three I've used some rather old pink vellum and cut some for layers behind the actually butterfly.

The circles have been cut with a Cuttlebug die (I am hopeless for cutting circles!) and they had to be circles as I didn't have enough of the paper left! I've added some half pearls for extra interest and some faux stitching.

Flutterby Windmill

I have a confession to make! I didn't actually make the red windmill in this post, Samuel made it at school! But when Anice released this Flutterby Flowers download, I just had to use it!!

The butterfly has been printed onto white card which I've cut out and coloured with Promarkers. I've added a vellum overlay by using the butterfly as the template and then added a black border around the edge with a Sharpie marker.

The butterfly antenna has been made from red beads (not got a clue where they came from - probably a magazine freebie from ages ago!) and gold beads and wire.

The download would actually make great sheets for kids to colour in as the designs are lovely and simple and bold!

Flutterby Notelets

These are some cute little notelet cards I made with the new Flutterby Flowers download from Funky Hand. The cards are A5 in size (two made from a sheet of A4 card) and I've simply printed one of the sheets with the flower design, coloured the flowers and leaves with Promarkers and then added a black background, cut with a Nestabilties die and then layered a smaller white one on top.

Then added the flowers and leaves!

Simples!

I do like the boldness of the flowers and leaves and they are really easy to colour so great if you are not so confident with your colouring techniques!

Flutterby Flowers

Anice over at Funky Hand has released a brand new mini download kit called Flutterby Flowers and it is such a sweet little kit! Beautiful butterflies and flowers in a bold easy to use design - what more could you want?!

I've combined the new download with papers from Dreams Come True also from Funky Hand with the sketch on Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

The flower is part of the digi collection and because they are such high quality images, you can resize them as big or as small as you wish with no quality loss. I've simply printed out the paper and then printed the flower over the top, cut it out and added it to the card.

The gems are from my stash along with the orange ribbon, which originally came from the Scrap Store. A little bit of doodling and some inking and the card is complete! I just love bold bright colours and this download goes so well with them!
