Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 28 - Blog Candy

It's Friday and time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge!  The theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week, we don't have a sponsor but there is a little blog candy prize up for grabs.  I've used a no longer available cute Jellypark image for a teacher thank you card which I've coloured with Promarkers and then added to the card blank with foam pads.

I've scored a border around the edge of the card and added a little ruler and apple charm along with bakers twine from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafting By Designs:  Anything Goes
Creative Moments:  Anything Goes
Watercooler Wednesday:  All Occasions  WATERCOOLER ROCKER
Lemon Shortbread:  Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash:  Feed Me

Super Hero Teachers

I'm trying to get organised and have made an early start on making the boys' teacher thank you cards.  Samuel leaves for High School (where did the time go?!) and Jacob will be moving to year 5 in September.  Between them, I've been asked to make 10 cards for various teachers and here is the first one.

I've used a Tiddly Inks image - Teacher - and the sentiment is from the Kid's and Teacher's Quotes set.  I've printed directly onto the cardstock and coloured with Promarkers.

The tag has been cut with a Sizzix die and the bakers twine and silver apple charm are from my stash.

Just 9 more to make now!  I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks:  Super Power
Fairytale Stampers:  Anything Goes
Dragonfly Journeys:  So Many Books, So Little Time
Crafty Catz:  Clean and Simple

Jellypark Stamp Spotlight - Thank You Teacher

The Friday in between challenges, the Jellypark Design Team pick a digi stamp from the back catalouge and showcase it; this week it is the Thank You Teacher digi.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then used papers and school house image from the Samantha Walker A to Z Mega Pack (bought from Jessica Sprague as a download some time ago for the bargain price of $1!!)

All I've added is a faux running stitch with a black fineliner around the edge of the card and a little bit of inking!  I've added a smaller version of the paper inside to write on and I've made 4 of these cards as they will be the thank you cards for Samuel's teachers.

Get me being all organised!!  Mind you, I need to be - got a rather busy weekend coming up.  Samuel is karting all weekend as he has his first licenced (MSA) race on Sunday and Jacob has a football tournament on Saturday.  And the weather forecast is rain.  So the washing machine is going to be well used.  That's if I have enough time to get everything washed!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

My Heart Pieces:  Use A Digi
Digi Stamps 4 Joy:  Masculine
Pollycraft:  Anything Goes
Card Mania:  Kraft Paper
Cards For Men:  Boys Will Be Boys

Thanks

I can't find if I've blogged these cards before, I have a feeling I've not as the photos were uncropped and unfaffed with as I've just found them on my pc.  These were made before the school summer holidays and were thank you cards for 5 of Jacob's teachers (I had strict instructions as to who they were for!)

A simple Nesties die cut through the centre with the image on the inside.  It's a Fred She Said image which I printed onto the same linen effect white card, coloured with Aquamarkers and then cut out with the same Nesties die and then carefully added it to the inside of the card so it all matched up.

I inked around the edge of the die cut shape with a black inkpad and stamped the sentiment which was a magazine freebie directly onto the front of the card.  Some thin red organza ribbon and they are complete!

At least I have a good few months before I need to start thinking about what to make for the end of the school year!

I'm determined to keep up with the Card A Day blogging and I've set myself the target of all of November and December too!  Eeek!  Hence the rather non seasonal cards I've just found photos of!  Normal service will be resumed tomorrow with a Jellypark filled weekend!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafting for All Seasons:  Thank You Cards
Creative Belli:  Harvest / Fruit
Digi Stamps For Joy:  Giving Thanks
For Fun Challenges:  Give Thanks

Simon Says Stamp:  Thank You

Everything else:  My stash

First Thank You's

Here are the thank you cards that I've made for Samuel's three school teachers (Mrs Oddie, Mrs Sweeney and Miss Hope).  I've used a Jellypark digi - Thank You Teacher - which I've coloured with Aquamarkers and sort of kept to the school uniform colours, although I did omit the dinner down his jumper and pen marks on his face!

The papers are from a download I've had for ages - its a school themed set with elements but I can't for the life of me remember where it came from.  I printed the papers at 8x8 and have only used three sheets - just had to use them creatively!

A bit of faux stitching around the edges and I've added some stars cut with my X Cut dies plus some back card from my stash for layering and they are done!

And after all that, I bet Samuel either forgets to take them into school or to give them to his teachers!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Sunday Sketch and Stamp:  Sketch followed
Passion For Promarkers:  Gingham / Checks
Stamp and Create:  Hands Full of Love
Tammy's Scrappin Corner:  Anything Goes
