Boy Blue

See! I can make something other than Christmas cards!! I've used the current Sketch Saturday sketch for the layout and the papers are from my box of bits and they are all from various Polkadoodle cd's.

The stamp is from Woodware - its a really old one as I can't find it listed and I've never used it before! It was a generous destash donation from Lynsey! I've coloured it with Promarkers plus glitter glue on the bubbles, glossy accents on the puddles and I've dotted liquid pearls around the edge for which I've used a Nesties die.

The layered flower, seed beads and ribbons are all from my stash! The cute little charm I bought from one of my local craft shops and it says 'made with love' which I think is just perfect for baby cards!

The card also fits the following challenges:

Crafty Pad: 3 papers, 2 ribbons and 1 flower
Cheerful Stamp Pad: Special Reason
Tip Top Tuesday: Wrap It Up With Ribbon
Shopping Our Stash: Oldies but Goodies

  • Papers: Polkadoodles

Spooky Treats!

I don't normally go for Halloween themed challenges but because I already had the digi image and it looked so good coloured, that I could not resist the Crafty Pad challenge which is:

Spooky!

I've used an image from Gina which is part of a set called Sally and Sam Doodles. Coloured with Promarkers and inked, Sally has been layered onto black card and then added onto a large tic-tac box filled with just orange tic-tacs.

And to get just all orange tic-tacs, the boys and I had to eat all the green ones, not only from this pack but also from 4 regular sized packs too!

I've added some black ribbon to the top of the box and then some bat confetti, suspended by fine wire.

Needless to say, all the tic-tacs are now gone!!

The image is also part of the October Digi Hop bundle which you can win for taking part in the digi blog hop! Click here for more details!

Handy Dragon

The challenge on The Crafty Pad this week is to make a card for:

Any Male

So I've made one! This features papers from Funky Daze (Son Day) by Funky Hand printed onto cream linen effect card with a bit of faux stitching and inking added.

The image is from Dustin Pike and I've coloured it with Promarkers. Not added a sentiment as I thought it might look unbalanced!

So that's it! A quick post - I'm too hot and can't think of anything interesting to say!!

How Do I Love Thee

Eeek! I think I will just about get this challenge card in on time! It is for The Crafty Pad, which the current challenge is:

Stitching - real or faux

I've used papers, sentiment and image from the brand new - not yet released - cd from Polkadoodles - Love, Marriage and More! And there is so much more on it! I've got more cards to show you over the next few days from this wonderful cd - the papers are so rich and vibrant and versatile!

The launch of the cd will take place on 10 January - more details are in my sidebar!

Anyway, my stitching is faux and I've done a little running stitch around all the papers, toppers and sentiments. The chocolate brown organza ribbon is from my stash.

And Another of the Same!

Once again Mr Blogger doesn't like both my pictures and insists on turning one of the around! I have done two layouts of this sketch - the other mirrors this one on the reverse.

Anyway! I've used the sketch from The Crafty Pad for this layout (plus it means I get Donna and Danny's album a little bit more finished!)

Again, I've used My Minds Eye 'Bella, Bella, Bella' 12 x 12 double sided papers and Rayher chocolate brown card. The three pink brads are from my stash (and actually match some of the pink flowers in Donna's bouquet!)

The heart gem is left over from when I made their Wedding Stationery and the 'love' charm is from my stash. The reverse of this acetate / acrylic album page is the same layout. And when Mr Blogger will let me show all my pictures the right way round, I'll share them!
