Funky Hand New Release - Boys Will Be Boys and BLOG HOP!

Are you ready for a new download from Funky Hand?  Following hot on the heels of the Christmas downloads earlier in the month, we now have a boys themed one - Boys Will Be Boys!

But that's not all as Anice has drawn a fab little robot called Bot!  He's available to buy for just £1.49!  Boys Will Be Boys paper pack is only £2.99 and there are loads of papers - some are shown above - plus standard single colours too for layering and matting.

Here is my card that I've made with the papers download:

I've inked the edges, added some recycled string, made the 'brads' (marker pen with a dab of glossy accents over the top!) and handwrote the sentiment.  Oh and used two cocktail sticks too!

Funky Hand New Release and Blog Hop!

There are some new releases over at Funky Hand in preparation for Christmas!  There are two downloads and four digi stamps!  And to celebrate, the Design Team are having a little blog hop and one lucky winner will receive both new Christmas downloads and all four digi stamps - the bundle is worth over £11!

I've already shown a few makes from Sleigh Ride - here and here - and the other new digi paper pack release is Silent Night.  Both paper packs have a set of A4 papers plus wordbook so you can get so much more out of them and if you are careful, you can use the less Chrismassy papers for other makes!  The new releases are not available until after Sunday but you have the blog hop between now and then!

I've made this wordbook with Sleigh Ride - simply picked the letters I wanted, cut them out and layered the pages to make the wordbook.  The glittered letters at the bottom are Sizzix die cuts and I've added glitter glue over the top.  Also added glitter glue around each of he large letters and used up lots of freebie ribbons to tie it all together!

I do like making wordbooks as they are fairly quick and easy to make and always look stunning!

Spring Is Sprung - Funky Hand New Release and Blog Hop!

Anice has worked her magic again and there is a brand new download released this weekend over at Funky Hand! The download is called Spring Has Sprung and to celebrate some of the Design Team are having a blog hop!

This is a lovely fresh download and I've had a bit of a mad time with the pinky lilac papers as you can see! I get an urge every now and again to create a layout as I like the idea of using more space and not worrying about trying to get it all in an envelope at the end!

All the papers you see are from the download and I've used various dies plus chunky ribbon from my stash along with half pearls, seed beads (flower centres) and some vellum here and there. I've handwritten the sentiment onto an X Cut fancy rectangle die (oh how I am loving this new purchase!)

I've edged all the papers with a silver gel pen but its not shown up too well in the picture. Photo is of my two nieces - Niamh is two and Amy was 12 days old when the pic was taken by my Dad - when we saw her she did nothing but eat and sleep!

I've got two cards to show that I've made from the two downloads (I do have more but will blog those later in the week!)

This first card uses all papers from Steam Funk plus a very vintage March 1950 car magazine donated by my husband! I've used my own template for the dress and its only stuck down to the card with the bodice so its quite a sticky out card and tactile!

Sequins and pearls are from my stash.


And for this card, I've used Funky Kraft Stash for the base and teamed it with the Shabby Saturday download - cutting out the sentiment, flowers and using a Nesties die as a template to draw around. Plus some Card Candy and embroidery thread for detail.

A Funky Blog Hop - Win Twelve Crafters Crafting cd!

It's the Funky Hand Blog Hop and it is our first ever hop!! And with all hops there is one fab prize on offer - a copy of the brand new not yet even released cd - Twelve Crafters Crafting!! Each of the Design Team (funnily enough, there are twelve of us....!) picked a paper collection to work with and I went with Jingle Bells which is the twelfth paper collection on the cd. As you can see its a bright and funky collection and I just could not resist making this wordbook - you know how much I like them!

Really easy - just print out the pages you want - you can select the letter to which ever paper you want and change the colour of the letter (now that is good eh?!) The little 'ho' has been made using the workspace area - you can make words or just random letters and they will match the colour collection you are using!!

I've added extra stars here and there from the offcuts and added glitter glue around the letters. Ribbon is from Meiflower.
