Olympic Torch & Singing In The Cathedral

Yesterday (Saturday) was another rather busy but very different day!  Samuel and I watched the Olympic Torch pass through the shopping area in Blackburn (we patiently waited by the barriers for an hour - luckily not raining - which, by the time it was 9:25am, was 4 or 5 deep with spectators!)  Although she wasn't actually sprinting, if you blinked, you'd have missed it!

The picture is actually slightly blurry but at least I just about got the flame on!

And then an hour or so later, Samuel was singing with his class in Blackburn Cathedral!  I think it was part of the Olympic celebrations (but I could be wrong!) and here he is with his class teacher Mrs Oddie (who is fab!)

It's the first time I've been in Blackburn Cathedral and it is really beautiful inside.

  1. Aw. He looks a happy little chappie bless him. Something for him to remember, prob. won't happen again for a few decades.

  2. oh ow fab pics.. the torch goes through our nearest town tomorrow .. but i will be at work
