I Love Promarkers - Challenge 422 - Ikes Art

It's Wednesday so time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge!  The theme this fortnight is

Ribbon or Bow

And we are sponsored by Ikes Art and I've used one of the images from Cubimals and used Promarkers to colour.  I printed the sentiment on my computer and purposely kept it all nice and clean and simple!  Embroidery thread is from my stash along with the charm.

Good luck with the challenge!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 27 - The Paper Shelter

It's time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and I've used Casual Boy and coloured him up with Promarkers.  I've used off cuts of papers from Papermania For Him 6x6 stack (I've had the papers in my stash for a long, long time!)  The sentiment is an X Cut die and I've layered it onto some cream card.  Embroidery threads all from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Use Your Scraps

It's time for a new Daring Card Makers Challenge and the theme is

Use Your Scraps

I've used some really old papers that I've had printed for an age from Funky Hand and sadly, its they are longer available.  I've had to carefully align the papers to cover the card blank and I've added a dotted line around the edge with a blank fineliner pen.  I've used a Paper Shelter image - Beauty Image and coloured it with Promarkers.

I've handwritten the sentiment and found some paper ribbon in my stash, tied it with some embroidery thread and added a comb charm.  Half pearls also from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following:

Brown Sugar:  Anything Goes
Seize The Birthday:  Birthday
Watercooler Wednesday:  All Occasions
A Perfect Time To Craft:  Anything Goes

Third Birthday

Here is a quick last minute card that I needed to make for a third birthday. I've used a pre coloured Lily of the Valley big square, trimmed it down to fit the card blank and used papers from Stampin' Unicorn - Butterfly Dreams 6x6 paper pack and the sentiment is also from Stampin' Unicorn - Bits and Pieces Sentiments.

I've added a line of glitter around the edge of the image, embroidery thread and charm are from my stash and the die cut number 3 is an unbranded metal die.

I'd like to enter the following:

I've used Precious Gift, coloured with Promarkers and a little glitter glue; I've hand written the sentiment on the tag.  All the papers are from my stash along with the embroidery thread and half pearls.

Time for a new Simply Create Too challenge and its bingo time!  The bingo card is on the challenge blog and you simply choose a vertical line and add all the elements listed in your creation!

I used the line 'O' and used yellow, twine, sewing, button and stripes.  The flowers and button are from my stash along with the embroidery thread (substituted for twine!)  I've added a faux stitch around the edge of the card with a fine liner black pen.

The papers are from Cosmo Cricket - Mr Campy which I've had in my overflowing box of offcuts for some time!  Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge!

Forgotten Funkies - Shabby Saturday

There are a lot of Forgotten Funky downloads so Anice has decided to have a special post once a month and will challenge the Design Team to use that particular download to create something! And this month, to kick it all off, its the turn of Shabby Saturday!

It was my Mum's Birthday a few weeks ago and I made her this card using the Shabby Saturday download - the large letters are included along with papers and a sentiment page too! All beautifullly co-ordinated! The download is only £3.49 and you get a lot for the price!

I've used some lovely white linen effect card from The Papermill Shop Direct, cut out the large alphabet letters, added some stripy paper (stripy is always good!) plus the sentiment tile and found some matching embroidery thread in my stash.

I've used tiny foam pads to raise the letters and sentiment from the page - I bought around 50,000 of the foam pads some time ago in the Poundshop - it was two for a pound and I didn't realise how many of the foam pads there were on a sheet of A4..... so I've got quite a few to use up!

For more inspiration and to see how the rest of the Design Team have used Shabby Saturday, pop over to Get Funky!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Milk Coffee Challenge: Spots and Dots
Crafting By Designs: Anything Goes
Fab n Funky: Spots and Stripes

Polkadoodle Challenge 38 - Candy Colours

It's time for a new Polkadoodles challenge and the theme is:

Candy Colours

I've kept it rather clean and simple this week! I've a stack of little envelopes that I need to use up as I bought them in the January sale as they were really really cheap - 4p (although they did come with little Christmas cards that were really naff - I did only buy them for the envelopes!) for 20 or 25 in a pack. So I indulged and bought rather a few.

So, this brings me to these little cuties - I made 3 cards from a sheet of A4 card and printed one of the images from the fab Bonbon Belles straight onto the card and embellished with half pearls, stickles, embroidery thread and a button. Really quick and simple to make!

Good luck with the challenge - we've dropped the 10 limit challenge rule and will be picking the winner each week by random generator!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

CCEE Stampers: One Layer Cards
Delightful Challenges: Buttons and Bows
Happy Campers: Show Us Your Flowers
Crafters Cafe: Flowers

Polkadoodle Challenge 20 - Spring Colours / Pastels

It's time for another Polkadoodle challenge (and this is my second post of the day - Jellypark is coming right up!) and the challenge theme for the week is:

Spring Colours / Pastels

I've sort of gone for the pastel theme, if you can imagine that a pale chocolate brown is a pastel colour!  But then again, chocolate is good for any season! I've made a calorie free cupcake with papers from the Fredericka cd that I've cut out and inked (and also glittered!)  The sentiment is from Cherryblossom Lane and I've also inked that too.

I've added some embroidery thread from my stash which pretends to hold the sentiment ticket in place (its actually the foam pad that holds it there!)  I have some really dinky card blanks that need using up so the cupcake has been added to one of those and I've trimmed it where the card blank stuck out.

Good luck with the challenge and don't forget our rules!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 49

It's time for a new Fetch A Sketch challenge and here is the sketch for the fortnight:

We don't have a sponsor for the challenge so I was free to use what ever I wanted so I used the most recent Funky Hand download called I Love You Sew.  I've used two of the papers for the background and then the bunting is offcuts from previous projects that I've also layered.

I've added some doodling here and there and also inking and the embroidery thread is from my stash.  So a nice and simple sketch this fortnight but with plenty of room to add your own touch!  To find out more about the challenge, please visit Fetch A Sketch!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Shade Embarrassed

I treated myself to a Filofax after Christmas (my local Staples was closing down and the half price sale was too good to miss) with the intention of adding Birthday's, Anniversaries and addresses to it.

After 3 months I have got as far as addresses.  So you can now see why I love this lamp digi from Dr Digi.  And you will too at 50p!

I've already used one of the cards.  And you'd think it would be easier for me to get the Filofax prepared in advance.  Nope.  Too much like being organised!  Plus I can then spend the time I would have lost in actually doing some neat writing on thinking up witty captions.

I printed directly onto the card stock and thought that they would be equally spaced - not quite so as you can see!  Coloured with Promarkers plus added a dotted line around the edge (Nestie used as a template for the fancy bottom) with a gel pen, a button from my stash plus some embroidery thread to finish it off.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

365 Day Cards:  Day 66 - White Space
Whoopsie Daisy:  Buttons or Bows
Eclectic Ellapu:  Birthday's
Kenny K:  Happy Birthday

Image:  Dr Digi, coloured with Promarkers
Sentiment:  Computer generated (thought of by me)

Clearly 40!

Here is the first of two new digi releases this fortnight from Jellypark - this one is called 40 Numeral with Roses - real catchy title eh?!  But a stunning digi stamp!  I've made this card for a colleague at work who turns 40 in March - yes I do like to be organised!!  Although I've used it as a birthday number, it can be used for a Wedding Anniversary too.

I've coloured the digi with Promarkers then cut them both out and layered onto a acetate card and the papers I've used are from The Clip Art Fairy which is part of a kit.

I've used an X Cut die for the background layer (its on the inside of the card) and a Martha Stewart punch for the frill bit at the top.  Ribbons and embroidery thread are from my stash.  Once I'd decided what I was going to make with the digi, it was fairly quick to execute!

Jacob's football team lost 9-4 today but they played really well and were 3-2 up at half time.  Samuel had a good practice day karting - hope it continues with his race tomorrow!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Pattie's Creations:  Birthday
Stampin' With The Dragon:  Cute
In The Pink:  Punches / Dies
Created With Love: Birthday with a Number
Crazy Challenge:  Decorate the Inside of the Card

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 32

It's time for another challenge over at Fetch A Sketch and Jenny is our hostess this fortnight and here is her wonderfully clean and simple sketch (with plenty of scope for embellishments!):

We have a new sponsor and Ladybug Crafts Ink are offering the winner a £10 gift certificate to the store - thank you Kerry!

I've been lucky enough to play with one of the digi images from the store - Pram Baby Baby (and its only £1.50!)  It's been coloured with Promarkers and I've cut it out and used foam pads before layering onto the backing paper.  Papers are from Polkadoodles - I'm not sure which cd as I found the papers in my rather large and overflowing shoe box and they could have been there some time!

I made the bunting from some offcuts of card and added a dotted blue gel pen line around the edges, pearls at the corners and embroidery ribbon to tie.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details, pop over to the challenge blog!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Wardrobe

I must apologise - I should have blogged this last weekend as it is the second of two new releases from Jellypark but we had a fair bit going on last weekend and with one thing and another I got rather sidetracked.  So here is Open Girlie Wardrobe from Jellypark!

I've coloured it with Promarkers and cut the image out.  I've drawn the rug myself as it didn't look right just floating!  The background panel is a lovely pearlecent lilac and I got it and some other long strips from the Scrap Store ages ago and I'd forgotten I had it.

I've made the bunting from oddments on my table and added a few lines of embroidery thread and a liquid pearl dotted border.

Don't forget to sign up to the free Jellypark club - there is a fab freebie available for all subscribers and with the freebies changing on a regular basis you won't want to miss out!  Plus there are regular discount codes and with the stamps only costing £1.25 each you'll be getting a double bargain!

Invitations

One of my oldest friends (she's not that old just that we've known each other since we were 13!) is turning 40 mid August and asked me to make her Garden Party invitations with a purple / lilac and pink theme.

So here are two of them! I made 22 in total.  I hand cut the banners and they have been edged with stickles which you can just about make out.  I added emboridery thread bows to the ends - two shades of pink and two shades of lilac as I didn't have enough of one single colour.

I've printed the sentiment on the pc and added a pink half pearl plus faux stitching around the main panel.  I had to keep the card as flat as I can for posting as any bulky embellishments and it costs almost twice more to send!

The main panel is Rainbow Polkadots download from Funky Hand and the purple was in my stash so not got a clue where it came from!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafts and Me:  Birthday's
365 Day Cards:  Day 119 - Mail-able
Anything Goes Challenge:  Polkadot with a Birthday Theme

Dude Time Doodles - Tag! You're It!

It's time for a new challenge at Dude Time Doodles - it is a theme and a colour challenge too:

I've used Skip Sk8r as my image and he's been added to a tag which swings from the card - just as if he is skateboarding! The papers are from DCWV 6x6 Retro Stack, I've added some card candy and also some embroidery thread from my stash to hold the tag onto the card.

The sentiment stamp one that is no longer available from Funky Fairy so I've had it for quite some time! I've added a doodled line around the edge of the card with a white gel pen and a dotted black line around the edge of the image.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details and inspiration, pop over to the challenge blog! We are sponsored this week by Paper Temptress and a $20 gift certificate is the winners prize!

I've delved into the Polkadoodle cd archive to make my card - Not For Girls cd - the backing paper and image are all from the cd and I've added some embossed acetate (can you just about see it?!) plus buttons and embroidery thread from my stash to make up the sketch elements.

Good luck with the challenge!

Knight and Dragon

Here is the second of two new release digital stamps from Jellypark this fortnight. This one is Knight and Dragon and you can buy it here!

I wanted to keep the image as big as I could on the card as I was really pleased with how I'd coloured the image. Most of it has been coloured with Aquamarkers with the armour done with Promarkers. The background is watercolour paints as I didn't trust myself enough with the Aquamarkers!

The image has been layered onto plain card from my stash and I've added a simple dotted line around the edge of the image with a fine black pen. A thin swag of embroidery thread and the card is complete!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Samuel Taylor Crafts: Anything Goes

Gingerbread

Although I've finished all my Christmas cards (not that they are written yet!) I couldn't resist this freebie image from Bows n Berries. I've coloured it with Promarkers and used the sketch from Seems A Little Sketchy with papers from an Echo Park digi pack - All I Want For Christmas. Added some faux stitching around the edges and some embroidery thread that actually matches the green in the papers.

The snowflake is a Sizzix die and because I was not concentrating, I accidentally snipped the fluffy bit off the gingerbread mans hat so he has a tiny pom pom instead!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Bows n Berries: Use Freebie and Blog Hop
Seems A Little Sketchy: Sketch followed
Hotshot Craft: Use Promarkers
