Daring Card Makers Challenge - In The Garden

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

In The Garden

I've used a cute Lily of the Valley image and coloured with a combination of Promarkers and coloured pencils.  The papers are really old ones from a 6x6 pad I found in my stash (I think they are all multiplying as I seem to have an awful lot!)

I also used a brad and an eyelet that have been there for years and years too; sentiment cut using Clearly Besotted dies and I used a combination of words to get Granda!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 34 - Stampers Delights

It's time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by Stampers Delights and I've used the girl from Chibi Winner Boy & Girl digi, coloured with Promarkers.  The papers are all really old ones that I found in my stash and have been printed a long time ago and most were oddments that needed using up!

Button, embroidery thread and half pearls all from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodles Challenge - Shaped Card

It's time for a new Polkdoodles challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make a shaped card so I've gone with this rather cute baby on board card, using Having A Giraffe Clear Stamp, coloured with Promarkers.  I've made the card base using the largest Posydoodles Basics Circle die and then layered a small die cut on top after it had been embossed with the Stampin' Unicorn Quilted Picnic Embossing folder and to finish I hand wrote the sentiment on the Posydoodles Basics Tag die cut.

Furry brad and organza ribbon from my stash.  Rather amazed I managed to cut a flat edge to the actual bottom of the card!  Good luck with the challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 214 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

I've used a great image by From The Heart Stamps which is sadly no longer available.  I've coloured it with Promarkers plus glitter glue on the fur and bobble.  The sentiment comes with the image too and I've kept the card clean and simple, embossing a line around the edge of the card blank and added some waxed red cord and two jingling bells.

Good luck with the challenge!

Turning 50 - Part 1

Another epic Birthday card this time made for a work colleague's husband so she gave me quite a few ideas to make it personalised.

Here is the front cover using some glossy red card I had in my stash along with different alphabet dies, plus some black card for layering and some silver card too.

This is the front page and I've used Stan the Fan, coloured him with Promarkers and this features the letter F of fifty.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Photos

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

Photos

I found this digi already printed in my stash and its from Jellypark which sadly no longer trades, coloured with Promarkers.  I found some very dark pearlescent blue card in my stash and layered the image onto it and then the red stary paper is some random printed paper I also found and not got a clue where its from.  Great to be using up stuff I already have!!

The sentiment die is from Clearly Besotted and I've finally added the little camera charm with some bakers twine.  Good luck with the challenge!

I Love Promarkers - Challenge 417 - Ikes Art

It's Wednesday so time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge!  The theme this fortnight is

Die Cuts or Punches

And we are sponsored by Ikes Art and I've used the lovely Hydrangea digi and used Promarkers to colour plus some glitter glue in the centres of the flowers (it just doesn't show too well in the photo!)  I've used a Spellbinders die to cut the image out and then layered it onto some printed papers I already had in my stash that I'm trying to use up.  I have a feeling they are from Funky Hand which sadly no longer trades.

I've embossed a line around the edge of the card blank and added ribbon from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Octavia the Ostrich

I've been wanting to colour up Octavia the Ostrich from Dr Dig for quite some time but just never got round to it but made this for one of my team who was having a birthday.  Also used one of the very many paper doilies I have in my stash that I've not got a clue why I bought them.  Handwritten sentiment and Octavia has been coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue on her tail feathers.

Papers are all random bits from my stash hence why there are some tiny pieces!

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Opening Element or Aperture

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

An Opening Element or Aperture

I've made a Ruby Wedding Anniversary card and used a fancy die that I had in my stash.  The ribbon holds the card closed and then when opened it reveals

The inside which is a Polkadoodles Squarey Swirly Hearts die cut from the same card with small half pearls added for extra embellishment.  The nesting square is from the same set as is the heart that I've made into a tag.

The numbers are all from a the poundshop and are kind of puffy silver but are really easy to use!  Good luck with the challenge!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 32 - Fred She Said

It's time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by Fred She Said and I've used this cute Rosey With Flower digi and coloured with Promarkers.  All the papers were pre printed and I found them in my stash and I think that they are all from Funky Hand - I Do Download which is sadly no longer available.

I've added some embroidery thread and half pearls from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodles Challenge - Summer Fun and a Tag

It's time for a new Polkdoodles challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to the theme of Summer Fun and to add a tag (it was also to use citrus colours but I accidentally missed that part!)  I've used the cute Winnie Float Away digi, coloured her with Promarkers.  I cut a tag from a scrap of card blank using the Posydoodles Basics Tag die and the sentiment is from the Sentimentals 6x6 paper pack and cut with the banner die from the Basics Tag die set - I turned the sentiment round so I could cut both edges the same.

I've doodled a border around the edge of the image and also the card blank, added the tag and sentiment with some bakers twine I found in my stash and used up some of the many half pearls I seem to have collected!

Good luck with the challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 213 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

I've made a word book using kraft card and cutting the large 10cm letters from an 8x8 paper pack from Polkadoodles which is no longer available.  I then layered the letters onto chocolate brown card and then the 'pages'.  The smaller letters have been cut using oddments of the kraft card.

I handwrote the tag and added burgundy half pearls here and there.  Good luck with the challenge!

Seal of Approval

Sometimes I just cannot resist a pun - this card was for an electricians 60th birthday, hence the lightbulb digi (a freebie!)  Simon the Seal is also available from Dr Digi and all images have been coloured with Promarkers.  Papers again, I found languishing in my stash and again I have a feeling they are from a very early Funky Hand cd that sadly are no longer available.

Die cut letters and a little X Cut die for the rosette.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Photo Inspiration

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is a photo inspiration as its the first Friday of the month:

You need to use at least three elements from the picture in your creation and colour counts as one choice.  I've gone with the colour teal, the patterns (embossed background), coffee and circles.

The image is an old one from Funky Hand which is sadly no longer available and has been lurking in my stash of printed digis for quite a number of years and coloured with Promarkers.  I've used a Sizzix embossing folder and the ribbon hides the join.  Circles are Spellbinders and I've cut them from left over card

Half pearls and a faux running stitch to finish.  Good luck with the challenge!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 31 - Bugaboo

It's time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo and I've used Stella Tidbits - Hard Drive which has been coloured with Promarkers.  The papers are all random printed bits I've had in my stash for years and all come from various Funky Hand cds which are no longer available.  And I found some Card Candi so added those!

Good luck with the challenge!

I Love Promarkers - Challenge 416 - Bugaboo

It's Wednesday so time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge!  The theme this fortnight is

Thank You

And we are sponsored by Bugaboo and I've used Mouse Big Flower and coloured with Promarkers.  I found an old digi paper in my stash that was from Funky Hand - Just For Jen download which is sadly no longer available.  I added the bakers twine so I could tie the hand written tag and used some of the many eyelets I seem to have in my stash!

Added some half pearls too and a fine faux running stitch around the edge of the image and card blank.  Good luck with the challenge!

See You Later Alligator!

One of my team was going off on secondment for a year so this seemed to be the perfect image to use (plus I'd printed it off some time ago and it was languishing in my stash waiting to be used).

I had a rummage through all the papers I had and used this one - have a feeling its from a very early Funky Hand cd that sadly is no longer available.

I hand wrote the sentiment and added some card candy.  Buy Alistair the Alligator from Dr Digi!  Also available as an uncoloured digi.
