Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 32 - Fred She Said

It's time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by Fred She Said and I've used this cute Rosey With Flower digi and coloured with Promarkers.  All the papers were pre printed and I found them in my stash and I think that they are all from Funky Hand - I Do Download which is sadly no longer available.

I've added some embroidery thread and half pearls from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Fetch A Sketch - Challenge 19

It's time for another Fetch A Sketch challenge and this fortnight I am your hostess! And here is the sketch for you:I know, its a bit different but its an easy one, I promise!

We have two sponsors this fortnight and two prizes for two lucky randomly drawn winners! Anice at Funky Hand is offering a download And My Creative Classroom is offering a free seat in any of their online classes!
And here is my take on the sketch! I've used offcuts from a wordbook from the I Do Wedding Wordbook download from Funky Hand and made the little squares with a small Nesties die and then layered the shapes onto a different paper and cut round them. A bit of inking around the edges and I found a faux silver heart buckle in my stash and added some chocolate brown satin ribbon through the centre. Quite quick to make and I think I'll be using the sketch again!

Good luck with the challenge - to find out more and to view some more takes on the sketch, pop over to the challenge blog!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

I Brake For Challenges: Love
Paper Play: Something Old, Something New (papers and bling old, new ribbon)
Shelly's Images: Seeing Spots
Throwback Thursday: No Electronic Die Cutters (I've used my very old red Sizzix machine!)

The Wedding Card

One of my cousins got married yesterday and despite managing to make cards for other family members in plenty of time, I left the one from us to the last moment, hence the poor photos as I had to take them early yesterday morning before it was properly light!

I wanted to make a card that was a bit different so it sort of opened out like a church. All the papers are from Funky Hand - I Do wordbook download and I've added a faux stitch and also liquid pearls dotted around the edge. The card is held together with a big bow and the bunting across the front is continued inside.

The images are from Squidgi Digi (Lisa you have one talented daughter!) after I'd seen one of the images on Lisa's blog and KNEW they would be perfect for Jane and Phil's Wedding card as they are into their VW camper vans in a big way (wait until you see the Wedding photos!) I've used Promarkers, glossy accents and crystal stickles for colouring.

The congratulations sentiment stamp was a magazine freebie from ages ago and I've personalised the number plates!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Colour Create: Pink (it is there - just not a good photo!), Brown, Cream and White
Dutch Dare Challenges: Recipe: 1 ribbon, 2 images, 3 papers, 4 embellishments (I'm using the 4 bunting banners for this)
Paper Play: Two or more images
Crafty Creations: Anything But A Square
Simon Says Stamp: Multi fold cards
Truly Scrumptious: Decorate the inside of the card

Something Old, Something New, Something Blue

As you know, I do like sketches and once again I've used a Sweet Sketch Wednesday for inspiration. The image is by Lee Jacobs and it's been bought from CraftsUPrint and I've coloured it with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue here and there although its difficult to see on the photo.
The papers are off-cuts from making a wedding wordbook and are from the I Do! Wedding download from Funky Hand. I've used a Martha Stewart punch for the fancy bits and dotted liquid pearls in the spaces. All the flowers are from Hobbycraft and are a fairly recent purchase. The ribbon I found in my stash and was just the right size! I've made the hat pin with some faux pearl beads from a necklace I bought in a charity shop with the intention of chopping it up and using the elements.

And if you've not already popped over to the Fetch A Sketch pre launch party - please do so but be quick as it ends on Sunday 26 June! Some candy on offer to two lucky commenter's plus some extra prizes along the way! The Fetch A Sketch challenges launch on Monday 27 June at 9am!

This card fits the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers: Here Comes The Bride
Die Cuttin Divas: Wedding Bliss

Get Funky Challenge - Recipe

Welcome to my offering for this months Get Funky Challenge! The recipe challenge has been set by the very talented Kathy and it is:

5 Flowers
3 Papers
2 Buttons
1 Ribbon
And any seasoning (sparkles, gems etc)

I've made a Wedding Word book for my cousin Jane who gets married later this year (I'm trying to be organised as I have a few to make from various family members!) I've used the I Do word book - cut out the relevant pages and added them together.

I've spelt out Mr and Mrs added the flowers with pearl brad centres plus dotted some liquid pearls here and there. Instead of adding an 'and' sign or word, I've used a faux silver buckle heart with ribbon fed though - the same ribbon as I've tied the pages together. Quite a complicated tie and I used a fair amount of ribbon too so the reverse also looks fancy.

Hope you can join in with the challenge this month - rules are really easy! Follow the theme, use at least one Funky Hand product - there is a freebie on the website in the download section that you can snag and use for each monthly challenge if you don't yet own any Funky Hand products - and link up on the challenge site!

Closing date is 14 June - Good luck!

I Do!

You'll have to excuse the reflection from the very silvery silver card that I've used to mat the image and Funky Hand papers! The card is for the Sketch Saturday challenge (sketch underneath).

The image is bought from here and is by Lee Jacobs - I've coloured it with Promarkers. The lovely silvery swirly paper is from the I Do Wedding download from Funky Hand - I'd found it during The Tidy Up and as I'm trying to use all my scraps, it fitted perfectly!

The ribbon that I've used is actually more beige in colour than shown in the picture and the silver heart buckle is from my stash.

And that's it!

A Perfect Day

The Papertake Weekly challenge is this sketch:

I actually started making the card a few weeks ago and I was suffering a little from knowing what to do with it until I saw the sketch! One of my cousins is getting married at the end of August (this will be the third Wedding we have been to in 6 weeks!) and my Mum asked me to make a card.

The base paper and panels are from Funky Hand - I Do! Word Book (you don't have to make a word book with the papers!), I've inked and rounded edges, then added the organza ribbon - a one sided bow so I could use a pearl headed pin! I added some seed beads to the top and bottom of the pin too.

And in the centre, I've added a die cut pearlescent Wedding cake, and again decorated it with seed beads.

The sentiment has been stamped with chestnut Whispers ink and is part of a freebie set from a magazine a while ago and I think it's Papermania. I think I'll get quite a bit of use out of this sentiment!

Just got my card to finish making before the Wedding - its all cut out and ready to be decorated - its actually a word book using the I Do! collection of papers. And if I remember to take a photo of it, I'll show it!

Wedding Thank You

The Wedding season is truly upon us! The Creative Card Crew challenge for the week is a theme:
Weddings

I'd been asked to make a Wedding Thank You card and was given the Bride and Groom outfit details and this is what I made:

The backing papers are from the new Funky Hand download - I Do! Wordbooks - I've just used the additional papers and printed onto hammered card. The two little people and their outfits have been cut with Sizzix dies and some I have tailored to suit (no pun intended!) Added some seed beads, some little paper roses and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment (says thank you) has been handwritten.

Scraps and Big Ribbon!

The Pink Elephant challenge this week is a sketch drawn by my fellow Funky Hand DT mate, Carol:

I've used the new Funky Hand download - I Do! to make this card. The download is actually a wordbook, but I've used the scraps from the two wordbooks that I have already created to make this card.

The four square panels have been inked and added to the card with 3d foam pads which helped when I was adding the organza ribbon - it helps to keep it in place! I've cut a little slit at the top of the card to feed the ribbon through and have tied it as if was a parcel.

The sentiment is also from the download - I printed the sentiment sheet so that it would fit twice on an A4 sheet of card. Sentiment has been layered onto some more scraps of card and then added to the panel. I then dotted around the edges with a gold gel pen so it stood out a little more.

I Do!

The Charisma Cards Challenge this week is:

Diamonds are a girls best friend

Funky Hand has just released a brand new download - its a Wedding Word book collection called I Do! and it has all the features you would expect from Funky Hand including an alternative coloured alphabet if you wanted to layer up the pages. So, with this in mind I have made a card for a forthcoming Wedding.

I've printed their married name off and the Mr & Mrs bit at the front I've cut from my Baby Face Cuttlebug alphabet set and have used an off cut of the card. I've outlined the letters with a dark brown watercolour pencil to add more definition. The chocolate brown ribbon matches their Wedding stationery as does the heart gem and heart buckle.

For a further touch, I've brought in a pale pink ribbon and also some tiny silver rings, suspended from the letter A. I've printed the co-ordinating backing papers onto the reverse of the letters, although I've not got a photo of it! It's all really easy to print - you select the letter and then press print!!

Because the I Do! download is quite a neutral colour, the Wedding colours can be added in, or any other colour for that matter - what ever your stash allows! This collection is a must have for your stash - so go and buy!!
