Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Butterflies

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and this week the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to use Butterflies in their projects so I've gone for clean and simple card, using some really glittery (but old as the glitter was a bit loose) gold card cut using one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Trio die.  To hide the missing glitter and the fact that it was virtually luminous, I cut three vellum layers and added some AB tiny gemstones to the body (the vellum wasn't stuck down properly when I took the photo so its a bit wonky!)  The little butterflies - Dotted Wings Butterfly - have been cut from better quality white glitter card.  The sentiment is from the Sentimentals 6x6 Paper Pack and it and the layer beneath have been cut with the Squarey Swirly Hearts Die

Polkadoodle Challenge - Clean and Simple

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and this week the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make a Clean and Simple card and to add some ribbon or twine.  I've used the Squarey Swirly Hearts Die - cut the base from an offcut of card and then used the other two square dies to cut the layers.  The sentiment has been cut from the Sentimentals 6x6 paper pad and the pick paper is from Itsy Ditsy 6x6 paper pad.  Ribbon, embroidery thread and charm all from my stash

Polkadoodles Challenge - Thank You or Anything Goes

 It's time for a new Polkdoodles challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make a Thank You card with an inky background and to keep it clean and simple.  I've used one of the quotes from the Sentimentals 6x6 paper pack and used the Squarey Swirly Hearts dies and one of the Posydoodles Basics Square dies to cut the different layers.  I've used ink sprays to create the background and then added some half pearls underneath the sentiment and scored a border around the edge of the card.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Opening Element or Aperture

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week is

An Opening Element or Aperture

I've made a Ruby Wedding Anniversary card and used a fancy die that I had in my stash.  The ribbon holds the card closed and then when opened it reveals

 

The inside which is a Polkadoodles Squarey Swirly Hearts die cut from the same card with small half pearls added for extra embellishment.  The nesting square is from the same set as is the heart that I've made into a tag.

The numbers are all from a the poundshop and are kind of puffy silver but are really easy to use!  Good luck with the challenge!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 16 - Fred She Said

It's time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by Fred She Said and I've used the African Violets stamp, coloured it with Promarkers and then layered onto Polkadoodles Squarey Swirly Hearts die.  I've added foam pads behind the image and the layering square for extra depth.

To finish, I've scored a border around the edge and used a Ladybug Inks stamp.  Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodles - Spring Has Sprung New Release!

There is a wonderfully cute new release over at Polkadoodles!  Its called Spring Has Sprung and you can buy all the images in a bundle (which is the best value) here or individually.  The bundle has all 6 images in black and white or pre-coloured!

I've used Special Wishes for this card, using Promarkers to colour, plus adding half pearls to the centre of the flowers and glossy accents over the lettering.  I've used Vintage Candy papers plus embroidery thread and a charm from my stash, pink gems to finish!

Next up is Hello Spring, again coloured with Promarkers.  I embossed a background panel with a Sizzix die and then added blue organza ribbon and pink gems from my stash.

And finally, Just A Note, coloured with Promarkers plus half pearls on the flowers and I glittered the lettering (you just can't tell on the picture!)  I've used the fab Timeless Rose 6x6 paper pack for the backing and cut it using the Squarey Swirly Hearts Die and then embossed a border around the edge of the card.
