Dude Time Doodles - December New Release & Blog Hop!

It's the last Wednesday of the month so its time to reveal the new Dude Time Doodles images and to kick it all off we have a blog hop for you!

One of the Dudettes will be the hostess with the mostest and one lucky commenter will win a digi image! So make sure you leave me a comment - As you've got to be in it to win it!

If you've arrived at me from Dawn then you are on the right track although there is no start and end point, just make sure you've visited us all! From me you need to hop to Cleota and leave a comment there too!!

I've used Welder Wencelas who has, once again, struggled with getting the Christmas turkey just right! He's been coloured with Promarkers plus glitter glue and I've used papers from Happy Happy Birthday from Funky Hand plus some embossing on the green paper.

The sentiment has been computer generated and I've added some doodling around the edges of the card.

Good luck with the hop and don't forget to leave a comment! Once I'm awake I'll directly link to the blogs in the hop before and after me!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 12

It's time for another Fetch A Sketch Challenge! Jenny is the hostess this fortnight and here is her sketch:

We have a returning sponsor - Tiddly Inks! And Christy is offering a $10 gift certificate to the winner of our challenge - thank you Christy!

Even though I initially struggled with the sketch, I got there in the end after thinking about it! I've used Minnie's Berry digi and enlarged her to almost the same size as the A6 card and coloured her with Promarkers. The little sentiment berry was a freebie from ages ago and is no longer available.

The paper I found in my stash but have a feeling it is a Funky Hand product! Minnie's glasses and the berry sentiment have been covered with glossy accents and the ric rac is from my stash. I didn't have any brads to match the colour scheme of the card, but had for some reason an abundance of orange brads, so I coloured the heads with a Sharpie marker!

Good luck with the challenge - deadline for entries is 12noon GMT Sunday 11 December and pop over to the challenge blog to see Jenny's creation and also Debbie's who is our current Guest Designer.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks: Anything Goes
Pile It On: Sugar and Spice
Just Some Lines: Tic Tac Toe - Ribbon, Digi, Brad
Alphabet Challenge: V for Very Vibrant
I Love Promarkers: Anything Goes

  • Image: Tiddly Inks, coloured with Promarkers and glossy accents
  • Sentiment: Tiddly Inks, no longer offered as a freebie
  • Paper: Not sure but think its Funky Hand
  • Everything else: My stash

Two Hedgehogs

I'm now just 1 card away from my goal of 150! Although the ticker banner has sort of had a bit of a turn and can't cope! This card is part of an order from one of my cousins (hello Claire!) and this has to be one of my favourite Penny Black images!

It's been coloured with Aquamarkers and glitter glue and I've used one of my Nesties to cut the shape - the next size up was too large so I've cut the red border myself. I've embossed the spotty backing paper (Happy Happy Birthday cd from Funky Hand) and the red is an old card blank that I've cut up as it was too thin to use for its intended purpose.

Sentiment is computer generated and the organza ribbon and silver chipboard snowflake are from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Inkspirations: Sketch followed
Addicted to Stamps: Christmas Card
One Stitch at a Time: Seeing Red
Penny Black at Allsorts: All Creatures Great and Small
Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Christmas, Red and Embossing
Paperworks: Recipe - Animal Image, Texture and 2 Embellishments (ribbon & snowflake)

  • Image: Penny Black, coloured with Aquamarkers and glitter glue
  • Papers: Printed - Happy Happy Birthday cd from Funky Hand, other from my stash
  • Dies: Spellbinder Nestabilites and Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
  • Sentiment: Computer generated
  • Everything else: My stash

Simply Create Too Challenge 1 - Christmas

It's time for the first challenge at the new look Simply Create Too challenge blog! And its a lovely and easy theme for the next two weeks:

All About Christmas

So basically, anything Christmas goes! If you want more details and to see the rest of the Design Team creations, pop over to the challenge blog!

I've used this very sweet Angel Girl Nativity digi stamp from Jellypark (there is a 20% off sale on right now!!) and coloured her with Promarkers plus glitter glue. And I've made more than one card too!
I've used papers from Creativity by Crystal - Merry and Bright digi paper collection from Jessica Sprague - just two papers in each colourway - one mad bubbles and one plain and layered with the contrasting paper.

The sentiment stamp is a 99p Studio G acrylic stamp and I found some plastic star shaped clear beads in my stash and as I have loads of them, I used them on the cards as they looked quite Christmassy!
So that's another 6 cards off my total - very near my final goal!

Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge and I hope you will join us! And as an extra special treat we are offering 3 sets of blog candy as prizes to the top three entrants as picked by the Design Team!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Purple Frog: For Someone Special (these are going to my fellow Jellypark Design Team as they are all special!)
Dutch Dare Challenge: Recipe (Image, Patterned Papers, Embellishments)
Diva's By Design: Monochromatic
Flutterby Wednesday's: Open Challenge (Angel with wings)
City Crafter Challenge: Pink Christmas

  • Image: Jellypark, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue
  • Papers: Creativity by Crystal - Merry and Bright Collection
  • Sentiment: Studio G acrylic stamp
  • Everything else: My stash

Polkadoodle Challenge 47 - Italian Christmas

Welcome to another Polkadoodle challenge! The theme this week has been set by Miria and the theme is:

Italian Christmas

So the colours from the Italian flag are to be used - red, green and white.

I've used the very cute fairy A5 pre coloured template from Paper Boutique Vol 2, simply cut everything out and then layered it up with foam pads. I've added glitter to her dress (I know its a little turquoise looking - its more green in real life!) and a large bit of bling to her crown. And I've made her wand with a cocktail stick!

Good luck with the challenge - closing date is Sunday 4 December. Good luck!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

CRAFT Challenge: Unusual Christmas
Delightful Challenges - Red and Green
My Mum's Craft Shop: Things with Wings

  • All paperbased items: Polkadoodles Paper Boutique Vol 2
  • Everything else: My stash

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 3 - Santa

It's time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge! A record entries for the last challenge - 1 more than the previous and a total of 234 entries - wow!!

The theme this fortnight is a nice and easy one again:

Santa

Anything that features a Santa qualifies - go to the challenge blog to enter your creations!

I'm so lucky to be sponsored by Dude Time Doodles (thank you!) and the prize for one lucky entry is a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the store - to visit the store click on the banner below:

I've used a Dude Time Doodles image - Santi Beaches and he is included in the 50% sale of last years Christmas images but be quick - sale ends on 30 November! He's been coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue.

I've used papers from the digi pack - Creativity by Crystal called Merry and Bright, bought from Jessica Sprague. The string of tiny fairy lights is from my stash and I've used two gold star brads to attach them to the card. I've added faux brads to the bottom of the card - dots made with Promarkers and then glossy accents over the top!

Good luck with the challenge - deadline is Wednesday 7 December at 12noon GMT and pop over to the challenge blog to enter!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

  • Image: Dude Time Doodles, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue

We are sponsored this fortnight by the Digi Garden, click on the banner below to be taken to the store! And Saffie will be offering the winner 5 digi's of their choice. Thank you Saffie!

New Sketch every other Friday!

And here is my card. I've used the Winter Kids 1 image and coloured with Promarkers, glitter glue and liquid pearls. The star template, papers and sentiment are all from the wonderful new cd from Funky Hand - Twelve Crafters Crafting and a lot of the papers can actually be used all year around too.

I've added a bit of glitter glue around the edges, some inking and some punched sparkly stars and that's it!

Winter Coat

Isn't this a cute image?! One of two new releases from Jellypark, it is Girl With Winter Coat and I've coloued her with Aquamarkers plus a little glitter on her pom poms on her hat.

All the papers are from Twelve Crafters Crafting from Funky Hand and the smaller panels I printed as 9 to a page so I got smaller detail. The large snowflake is a Sizzix die and its cut with a paper from the same collection and I've layered a very sparkly snowflake over the top and added a gem to the centre.

A bit of inking and doodling plus some little dots around the edge of the image and the card is complete!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Calendar: Winter Wardrobe
Crafty Emma: Snowflakes
Crafty Catz: Snowflakes
Winter Wonderland: Christmas Cutie

  • Image: Jellypark, coloured with Aquamarkers
  • Papers: Twelve Crafters Crafting from Funky Hand
  • Dies: Sizzix Snowflake
  • Everything else: My stash

Winter Skating

As soon as I saw this image from Jellypark I knew what paper to use! This Skating Boy and Tag is one of the new releases this week and he is just fab to colour! I've used Aquamarkers for colouring plus a little glitter glue and he's been cut out (look - no white border!) to look like he's actually skating on the paper design!

The paper is actually quite glittery and so is the snowman - the photo just does not show it at all well. I've cut the tag out which comes with the image and tied some embroidery thread through it which actually looks a bit like a pom pom on a hat......!

I've distressed the edges of the paper with some scissors as it didn't quite look right just stuck onto a card blank.

The other new release will be blogged later on - I was fully intending to do them yesterday but I spent all day at a Craft Fair and was shattered when I got home after standing for 4 hours - I am now aching!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

2 Sisters: Let It Sparkle
Ellephantastic: Weather Related
Bloggers Challenge: For The Boys
Daring Cardmakers: Water, Water (snow and ice - was water and I've used Aquamarkers for colouring!)

  • Image and Tag: Jellypark, coloured with Aquamarkers plus a little glitter glue
  • Paper: Dovecraft Let It Snow
  • Everything else: My stash

Jellypark Challenge 10 - Give Thanks

There is another Jellypark challenge up and running! Pop over to the blog for more details and to see the rest of the Design Teams creations!

The theme this fortnight is:

Give Thanks

I've used the little boy with sign digi that Claire drew especially for me! I've coloured him with Promarkers and the writing is Samuel's! Isn't it fab?!

I've used papers from my stash box and they are all from Funky Hand, Colour Me Happy cd - the bright orange backing is pearlescent paper which was a donation from Lynsey.

The black tiny brads in the top corners are fake - I've used a black marker and then dotted glossy accents over the top!

Good luck with the challenge - I've got 2 new release stamps to show you but check back this weekend to see them! But if you can't wait go over to the Jellypark Challenge blog and you them there!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Polkadoodle Challenge 46 - Shaped Christmas

Welcome to another Polkadoodle challenge! It's a good theme (even if I say so myself as I picked it!) and it is:

Shaped Christmas

But NO square or rectangle cards - it really does need to be shaped!

I've used the A5 sized pre printed template of a Ponsettia from Paper Boutique Vol 2 - simply print, cut out and layer!

I've added the tag that comes with the template plus added some ribbon too from my stash plus glued seed beads to the centres of the flowers for extra depth.

Hope you can join in the challenge - closing date is Sunday 27 November. Good luck!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Digital Tuesday: Christmas Time
Pile It On: Traditional Christmas
Totally Gorjuss: Christmas Traditions

  • All paperbased items: Polkadoodles - Paper Boutique Vol 2

Moody

I think this is a typical image of almost any teenage boy! All the papers plus pre coloured image are from Pretty Tuff cd from Polkadoodles - I've simply inked a little, distressed and added some recycled twine (came from a bundle of magazines!).

I've made some faux tiny brads buy using a Sharpie marker and then dotting liquid pearls over the top - quick and easy although you do have to remember that they need to dry!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

The Sweet Stop Sketches: Sketch followed
Paper Minutes: Children's Birthday

We are sponsored this week by Graphicat Designs and to see what you could win have a look at the challenge blog!

I've used the Fanny Thanks image and added my own sentiment at the top; the bottom one (so to speak) is also available separate to the image.

Colouring is with Promarkers plus Fanny does like her sparkly hair. I've used papers from my stash so I've no idea where they have come from but I do know that I've had them ages as I've certainly not printed them recently! Ribbon is from my stash too.

Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Digital Tuesday: Christmas Time

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Fetch A Sketch Challenge 11

It's time for another Fetch A Sketch challenge! I hope this one is not going to be too tricky for you! I (Ruth) am your hostess this fortnight and here is the sketch:

We are sponsored this fortnight by the Digi Garden, click on the banner below to be taken to the store! And Saffie will be offering the winner 5 digi's of their choice - good luck with picking 5 - my list extended to the whole store!

New Sketch every other Friday!

We've been given some digi's to use in our creations and I've used the fab Immies's Scarf and coloured her with Promarkers plus glitter glue.

I used a Sizzix tag die for the shape, inked and dotted a fine line around the edge and then used a template from Happy Happy Birthday cd from Funky Hand but 'pulled' the paper through from Twelve Crafters Crafting - its easy to do this as all the Papercraft Factory versions interact with each other!

The sentiment is also from Twelve Crafters Crafting and I've inked then glittered the edge of the card. Really easy! And although I did initially wonder why I'd created a sketch like I had, it has actually grown on me! I did add a few punched snowflakes but it looks like two have dropped off before I took the photo!

Join us next Monday for our regular midway point post where we will have some extra inspiration for you! Good luck with the challenge - closing date is Sunday 27 November at 12noon GMT.

Welcome to another Polkadoodle challenge! A lovely theme this week:

Swirls and Pearls

I've used papers and a digi from Pretty Sweet which has been coloured with Promarkers and a bit of liquid pearls. I've layered panels with silver paper from my stash and added seed beads in a swirly kind of pattern. The ribbon is from my stash and I think it was originally tied around some card blanks.

The snowflake is a Sizzix die and I've added seed beads to the centre too.

I've used the cute new release image, coloured her with Promarkers and glitter glue and used papers from Dovecraft Let It Snow 12x12 stack and added glitter glue around the edges. There is a lot of glitter - the photo just does not show it too well!

Tiddly Gift Cards!

It's been a while since I entered a Tiddly Inks challenge - I do get withdrawal symptoms but I've had a lot going on lately (the boys have a much healthier social life than I have!) and have never quite managed it in time, BUT! I've made these especially for the current challenge which is:

Anything Goes

I sold quite a few of these cute gift card holders at the last craft fair and with another one coming up in a few weeks I thought I'd better replenish my stocks!

I've used the Inky Critters set, printed them as the four and then coloured with Promarkers. I've just realised that in my haste to take the photo in the daylight I've not added the glossy accents so that will be done now!

All the papers are from the new Funky Hand cd - Twelve Crafters Crafting and I've used my own template to make the actual holder. Ribbon comes from Meiflower.

Get Funky Challenge - Autumn Theme

It's my turn to hopefully provide some inspiration for the current Get Funky Challenge!

I really do like making word books but this one does not use any templates - I've printed the pages and then made the letters using wordart, cut everything out, layered the letters and then stuck it down!

Some gold stickles around the letters with the smaller letters being die cuts plus some matching ribbon from my stash and its all complete! All the papers are from Dreams Come True.

Don't forget that you MUST use at least one Funky Hand product in your creation and if you don't have anything just click on THIS link and you will find a freebie that will fit the theme perfectly!
