Simple Christmas

A great sketch, once again over on Sweet Sketch Wednesday!

I've used papers that although are not intended for, can be used for Christmas from Colour Me Happy from Funky Hand (Merry Berry collection) - see how they work so well! I've rounded the corners and inked with black around the edges, plus added plain vellum that has been embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.

The wooden Christmas star is from my stash and actually came from a pack of wooden tree decorations from Matalan which I bought a pack of 12 for £2 in the January sales. I've tied some embroidery thread into a bow where the original loop was.

The ribbon is from my stash and I've managed the fancy bow again! The gems are from a bumper pack from the Poundshop!

A nice and easy card which only turned out this way as I remembered where I'd left the wooden embellishment!

  • Backing paper: Colour Me Happy from Funky Hand
  • Embellishment: Matalan (originally tree decoration)
  • Embossing: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
  • Everything else: My stash
