Engagement

I very nearly did not manage this challenge as I didn't think I'd have enough time, however one of my cousins (Jane) got engaged last weekend and I decided to use this lovely simple sketch from Card Sketches as a base for their card.
I've used white cardstock for the base then added red organza ribbon across the front and tied at the side with some thin red satin ribbon to hold it in place. The two hearts are stamps that I got as part of a magazine freebie quite some time ago. And I had to glue the actual stamp back onto their block before I could use them!

I've used a red Whispers ink onto the same white cardstock and then silver ink onto ruby red cardstock, cut them out and added over the ribbon with foam pads.

I've got quite a lot of seed beads and like the look of them, so these have been glued (hopefully very well!) on. The sentiment is computer generated and I've inked the edges for definition.

  • Stamps: Freebies from a magazine
  • Sentiment: Computer generated
  • Everything else: My stash
