10 Minute Wonder!

The DCM challenge this week is:

"Every year we find ourselves needing a few extra cards, even when we thought we'd got plenty, so this dare is all about super-quick Christmas crafting. We want to see cards that take only a few minutes, but of course don't look it!"

Well, this one actually took less than 10 mins but only because I cheated - the snowflake I'd made a while ago and not used! I used a silver card blank, rounded the corners, embossed the white card stock with the snowflakes Cuttlebug folder, rounded the edges again, lightly rubbed a fading black ink pad over the pattern for definition, dotted the edges of the white cardstock, added the snowflake embellishment (Swiss Dots treatment) and then tied the ribbon. Pretty quick!

  • Embossing folders: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Snowflakes
  • Dies: Sizzix Snowflake
  • Ribbon & fibres: From my stash
