You could use the pattern of the floor or wall tiles in your kitchen or bathroom, or even your patio tiles
Or maybe there's a pattern/motif that's used on a picture frame, wallpaper or curtains.
Or how about checking your crockery, a vase, an ornament for a motif you could develop into a design for a card
I sit at the dining room table to make all my cards etc, and a while ago I altered a simple wooden box as part of a project - I could change it however I wanted and I decided to make a chocolate box. As the finished box has yet to find a home, it sits opposite me where craft so it was my inspiration for this challenge!
And this is the card I created:
I've used Royal Flush sentiment backers (and I think the backing paper is from the same collection - if its not, its somewhere on the cd!) from Now That's Funky. The chocolate brown card is from a sample requested for colour matching for possible Wedding Invitations. Ribbon is from my stash.
The threaded ribbon through the sentiment backers is actually straight - the camera lies! I've punched the holes with a ribbon punch which is really easy to use, once you realise you need to mark where you need the holes and not rely upon 'ah, that looks about right' judgement!
