"cafe chic"
"I'm a bit of a cappuccino girl, so I want cards inspired by coffee!! Coffee colours, cup shaped cards, card layout inspired by a coffee jar label, using coffee beans on your card, coffee shop logos on your cards etc etc"
So, not wanting to do the whole card in browns and creams, I choose 'Coffee with Pals' collection from Now That's Funky - well, I just had to with a collection with that name! Each of the layers have been inked with chestnut Whispers pad. The ribbon is from my stash and the buttons were kindly donated by Lynsey - I asked if I could have a few buttons which looked like coffee beans and she brought me a jar full of brown buttons for me to sort through! Needless to say, she picked these three for me and I think they date from around the 1970's - aren't they fab?! Lynsey is the button queen!

Gorgeous card the colours are fabulous and so is the matting and layering. Mmm think I'll go and have a cappucino now!

What a splendid card! Each time I see the card I think the buttons really are coffee beans until I give them a second look!

ReplyDeleteRuth this card has turned out fab. I love the layered effect you have with the buttons on top..I think this might be a bit of an inspiration for some demonstrations I have to make this week! If that's OK of course!!!
