Dragon Rocket

I found another new (to me) challenge whilst blog hopping earlier in the week - Digital Tuesday which is a weekly challenge and you need to follow the theme and use a digital image in the creation. Which, I have a lot of - so easy for me to enter!

This week, the theme is:

Things With Wings

I choose this Dustin Pike dragon flying a space rocket, which I've coloured with watercolour pencils. Samuel has been invited to another Birthday party so this card will be for that - I do like to be organised!

I've used papers from Funky Daze (oh how I like this particular colour collection - just perfect for kids and male cards that feature dragons!) which I've inked the edges. For a change, I've used a coloured card blank - I have a pack of these that I found and could do to use them up.

Card candy from Craftwork Cards and the sentiment is a 4 sided Birthday stamp.

Poorly Dragon!

Another challenge - another sketch! And another Dustin Pike image too! This is the Sketch Saturday challenge:

I've used another dragon from Dustin Pike and again its been coloured with felt tips (but this time no highlighting - see - I can live without my white gel pen!) and layered onto Funky Daze backing papers.

All the papers are actually off cuts from a previous project - I do like it when that happens! I've handwritten the sentiment and added three card candy dots too.

All edges have been inked with an almost running out blue inkpad. But there is still life in it yet! These images are just so fab! I love them!!!!!!

Boo!

The ABC Challenge this week is:

W is for Windows

And because I treated myself to the bargain of all bargains (oh yes!) last week as Dustin Pike had a mega sale I am feeling the need to use his images a lot. Maybe not so far this week, but there will be more - I promise!

And because I found the fab £1.25 (half price) brush felt tips in Tesco last week and I am liking the effect they have (and also rediscovering decent felt tips and shading) I needed to use them!

So, I resized this image from Dustin Pike, printed it onto decent card stock and then coloured it in with felt tips, a little bit of watercolour pencils over the top and then a smattering of white gel pen over the top for extra highlights. I also used the pen for doodling a border around the edges of the card and for writing the sentiment.

The black card is from my stash.

And that's it! The claws actually hang over the edges of the card a little. Only because I cut the card too small. Me and measuring are not always on the same number......

Bold, Bright and Cute Dragon!

Was asked to make a Birthday card for a to be 4 year old who liked wobbly eyed cute dragons and cards that 'did something'. So, this is what I made! The pin wheel sails turn, and the dangly disc with 4 on spins round (it's double sided). The ribbon opens the front part on the card to reveal....
A cute wobbly eyed dragon!! With sequine tummy scales, silver and glitter ears and silver strands for wings.

Thanks Clare!
