Crimbo Crackers Challenge 140 - Humour

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Humour

I've used No Snow Birdbrain from From The Heart Stamps and have coloured with Promarkers.  I'm not sure how long the store will remain open following Faith's passing at the end of July.

The sentiment comes with the image and all I've added is some black card for a layer plus faux stitching with a black fineliner pen.

Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

As You Like It:  Feathers (I like either but this image always makes me smile!)  TOP THREE

Sorry Stocks

Nothing says sorry better - Sorry Stocks image from Dr Digi, coloured with Promarkers.  I'd started to colour this up quite some time ago and probably got distracted with something else so never got round to finishing it.

I found it a few weeks ago when I was having a tidy up (it was in my pile of images printed and ready to be coloured) so thought I'd finish it off.

The papers are from my stash - don't know where they are from but they were in the big off-cut box I have.  I've layered them onto some kraft card (A4 sheets x 10 from The Works for £2) and the buttons and half pearls are also from my stash.

Colour Crazy Challenge Week 34 - Star Stampz

Time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge!  The theme, as always is

Anything Goes

This week we are sponsored by Star Stampz who gave the DT some images to work with.  I've used Kimono Portrait and coloured her with Promarkers.  And for once, I picked my papers before colouring the image as I found it way easier to do it that way instead of colouring and then trying to match papers!

I've used a sheet of chocolate brown card as the base and the papers are Basic Grey Sultry - these were part of a RAK I was sent a few years ago (I've just looked at them periodically ever since!)  I've distressed the edges with a pair of scissors.

I've added half pearls from my stash and some raffia twine I found hiding.  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

Little Miss Muffet:  Anything Goes
Southern Girls:  Smash Your Stash  TOP FIVE
Sisterhood of Crafters:  Anything Goes

Sundae Treat

I've got a soft spot for this Dr Digi image - Sundae as its great to colour up and always looks good!  I've used Promarkers to colour and papers are from Dovecraft - Back to Basics 3.  Ribbons are from my stash - the satin ribbon has been recycled from a pack of pre scored card blanks that I found when I was having my tidy up at Christmas.

Half pearls are also from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 139 - Tag, You're It!

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Tag, You're It!

I've made a bottle tag using a sentiment from Polkadoodles - Festive Christmas.  I printed it directly onto the kraft card and have simply cut it out using a fancy X Cut die and then added gold 3d paint which has been dotted around the edges.

I've added punched holly and berries to finish it off.  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

The Papershelter:  Punches or Dies
A Snowflakes Promise:  Anything Goes

Coffee 4 Me

I've had a half hearted tidy up of all the scraps of card I have in my box with the notion of using some of them up. So here is one of those such instances!  The papers are offcuts from a Funky Hand wordbook I made quite some time ago but didn't want to throw them away!  The papers are all retired and no longer available.

The image is from Dr Digi - Coffee Mug and I've coloured it with Promarkers.

Colour Crazy Challenge Week 32 - Scrap N Dipity

It's time for a new Colour Crazy challenge and this week we are sponsored by Scrap N Dipity who generously provided the DT with some wonderful images!

The challenge theme, as always is

Anything Goes

I loved both the sponsors images so couldn't choose which one to use so used both!  First one is Up Up And Away which I've coloured the elephant with watercolour pencils, paper pieced the balloon with a freebie paper pack I found in my stash and then watercoloured a background panel to look like sky and clouds.  I think that this is probably the first time I've paper pieced an image - I made a second one with the other papers.

And for the second card, I've used Scribble Sally Ballerina - there are 3 different images in the set and I've coloured mine with watercolour pencils plus cut it all out with a fancy Spellbinders die.  I've added a rather blingy number 4 from The Works plus dotted liquid pearls around the edges of the card.

The die cut image has been added with foam pads so it stands proud, ballerina charm and embroidery thread both from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Summertime

We're part way through the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

The Design Team were challenged to create something to do with Summertime or Holidays.  I've used one of the images from Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles and enlarged it to fit the whole of my card.  I've added it with foam pads for depth and then added various seed beads from my stash for the hundreds and thousands.

I've used a Sizzix die for the tag and handwrote the sentiment.  Good luck with the challenge!  Pop over to the blog for more inspiration!

Hamish McDougal

I have a number of vintage maps taken from car magazines (I think they were freebies within the publication) from the 1960's.  I've added Hamish McDougal from Dr Digi and coloured him with Promarkers.  He's attached to the card with a strip of acetate (recycled from a school shirt collar - the unnecessary plastic bit that I forget to remove before I wash the shirts through.......)

The banner is a clear stamp from The Works - its part of a larger set and I've used another stamp from my stash for the sentiment.  I've added the shading myself for a more vintage feel.

I'd like to enter the following:

A Bit More Time To Craft:  Anything Goes
Creative With Stamps:  Boys to Men
Love To Craft:  Anything Goes

Two quick but cute cards from me both use the Lili of the Valley Simply Prints - Fast Asleep Boy and Fast Asleep Girl.  Both have been printed directly onto linen effect white card and then layered using foam pads onto a Spellbinders die cut, again from the same card.

The buttons, embroidery tread and half pearls are all from my stash and I've added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edge of the image and also card edge.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

The buttons and embroidery thread are from my stash and I've added a border of dotted liquid pearls around the edge of the card.

Polkadoodles Challenge - Anything Goes or Christmas!

The current Polkadoodles challenge is underway and the theme for the challenge is:

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to go with a Christmas theme and I've made a cute Christmas card using one of the new release clear stamps - Christmas Robin Cuddles.  Coloured with Aquamarkers and watercolour pencils.  I've then used random things I found in my stash to finish the card off (amazing what I find when I'm having a tidy up!)

I have a feeling the Ponisetta is from Hobbycraft which I bought in a sale a few years ago and the swirly bits are from a little X Cut die - I've just layered them up.  Half pears are also from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 138 - Cute

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme this fortnight is:

Cute

I've used Memory Box die cuts plus ribbon and a charm from my stash.  The tag has been handwritten and is a Sizzix die cut.  The image is from Buddly Crafts and I've coloured it with Promarkers.

I've used a sheet of acetate to create the card with a sheet of white card as the backing so any text written on it won't show through.  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

19th Hole

Here is a card I made for a work colleague who was leaving and was anticipating spending some of his down time on the golf course.  And probably the 19th hole!  Made using Hole In One Hal from Dr Digi, coloured with Promarkers with Memory Box clouds and Clearly Besotted grass, coloured with Promarkers.
I made the the sign myself with a mini X Cut die and a cocktail stick.

I'd like to enter the following:
