Time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme, as always is

The DT were challenge to make a tag and here is mine:

I've used one of the Fanciful Circles dies as my tag and then layered the Ice Skate die cut, from kraft card, over the top.  I've added a few layers of glossy accents and ultra fine glitter to the skates and a half pearl on the bow.  For the laces, I've used a dot of liquid pearls.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 139 - Tag, You're It!

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Tag, You're It!

I've made a bottle tag using a sentiment from Polkadoodles - Festive Christmas.  I printed it directly onto the kraft card and have simply cut it out using a fancy X Cut die and then added gold 3d paint which has been dotted around the edges.

I've added punched holly and berries to finish it off.  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Add Some Lace or Ribbon

Morning!  Time for a new Polkadoodles challenge.  The theme as always is:

Anything Goes

But the Design Team were challenged to Add Some Lace or Ribbon.  I've used Belle Papillon papers, distressing the edges and also used one of the tags as the focal point.  The butterfly is left over from a previous project and I've curled the wings slightly for extra depth.

Waxed cord, lace and pearl heart ribbon slider are all from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Bugaboo Holiday Chaos 2016 - Day 3

Day 3 of the Bugaboo Christmas Chaos challenge!  Today it is to make a gift tag with red and white stripes.  I've gone for this Circle Sentiments - Ava Fairy Special, coloured it with Promarkers and a little splash of glitter glue.

I've used a Spellbinder die to cut the circle (I line it up on the laptop monitor with the image before I print it to make sure its the right size - it works for me!)

I don't know where the paper is from as I found it in my offcuts box.  I've added a faux running stitch around the edges.

I'd like to enter the following:

From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop - Random Image!

It's the first Monday of the month so it can only mean a From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop!  The theme for the month for the DT is:

Random Image

Each of the DT were assigned a random image from the store and I was given this cute Back to School Snowman which is from the Project 100 Snowmen.  I've coloured him with Promarkers plus glossy accents over the glasses and decided to make a gift tag with a jumbo Sizzix die and ribbons from my stash.

If you've arrived at me from Michelle then you're on the right track - I'm the last in the hop so don't forget to leave me a comment and then hop back to the blog and leave a comment there too!

This hop is just for fun as Faith is unwell, and it is likely to be our last activity as a Design Team for some time - we hope to be back with Faith is well enough.

The hop will end on Sunday 11 September at 6am EST and the winners will be posted on the From The Heart Stamps blog on the following Wednesday.

Good luck!

Recycled and Birthday Tags

Time for more inspiration over on Facebook with Dr Digi!  I've made some tags with Birthday Sentiment Sheet 01.  I've printed two sentiments onto some recycled kraft card - I added a faux running stitch around the edges with a black fine liner pen.

I shaded the letters on the bottom tag and added X Cut star die cuts from the reverse of the Graze box I recycled.  I found some black dewdrops in my stash and added them - they are still blokeish!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments Designs:  Birthday
Shopping Our Stash:  Think Ink (shaded the lettering in the bottom tag)

Polkadoodle Challenge 30 - Christmas In July

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme this week is:

Christmas In July

Nothing like making Christmas cards when its cracking the flags!  I've made some Christmas tags rather than a card and all the paper based elements are from Gingerbread Twist.  The backing card is a really lovely vintage but grungy pattern and I've added the fab gingerbread people as toppers.

I printed them out and then cut round, adding with foam pads for a bit of lift.  I cut the tags with my Sizzix Scallop Tag die and added a faux stitched line around the edge and then an organza ribbon bow to the top.

I've not decided if these will stay as tags or if I will turn them into toppers for a card....

Good luck with the challenge - for more details pop over to Polkadoodles!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons:  Anything Goes With Ribbon
Little Miss Muffet Challenge:  Nursery Rhymes - Gingerbread Man

Creative Moments:  Anything But A Card
Fab N Funky:  Make A Set

Fungi

I get a list of cards at the start year from my cousin Claire with who the recipient is and their birthday. I've almost completed the list for the year and have just 4 left to do - this is one of them! It's for her Brother-In-Law so I've kept it quite simple and embossed the cardstock directly with Swiss Dots - the join bit where the folder didn't reach is covered with the string.

The image is from Tiddly Inks and I've coloured it with Promarkers and then added liquid pearls for the spots.  I've layered it onto some offcuts of card I found in my stash and then added the Marianne die - its supposed to be icicles but I use it for grass - underneath.

I've handwritten the sentiment on the tag which has been cut with a Sizzix die.  The good thing about the card is that it is almost flat which is good as it will be posted from Germany!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Cards In Envy:  Make Your Own Background
Tiddly Inks:  Masculine
Anything Goes Challenge:  Handmade Backgrounds
Creative Craft Challenge:  For the Fellas
Ooh La La:  Inspired by Nature

Jellypark Challenge - Tag It!

It's time for a new Jellypark challenge and the theme this fortnight is:

Tag It

I've made these really cute little tags with the Toy Giraffe digital stamp which has been coloured with Aquamarkers and a tiny bit of stickles.  I've used my Nesties oval die to cut the shape and then layered it onto some offcuts of card I had and handcut round them (that's why its a bit wonky in places!)

I've added an eyelet to the top of the oval and then threaded some co-ordinating slim satin ribbon through - most of which I think is recycled from the inside of jumpers!!

Cute tags!  For more inspiration and to see what the rest of the Design Team have been up to, pop over to the challenge blog - good luck with the challenge!  I'll be back over the weekend with the two new releases!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

More Year Book

Here is another installment of the Baby Year Book that I've been asked to make for a friend. This is month 4 - month 3 is the mirror image opposite (not shown!), and yes, I am making the pages out of sync! All the papers are from The Clip Art Fairy - Beautiful Baby Boy collection and I've dotted a line of blue gel pen around the edges.

I've used the largest tag from the Sizzix Scallop Tag combo die and threaded some blue organza ribbon through the tops as well as adding it underneath the tags.

I've strung a row of seed, bugle beads and sequins on some silver wire underneath the ribbon as to follow the Sketches in Thyme #62 sketch. The sentiment is computer generated.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Sketches in Thyme: Layout used (#62)
Little Red Wagon: Something New
Anything Goes Challenges: Blue plus One Other (Silver on the beads)

  • Papers: The Clip Art Fairy - Beautiful Baby Boy
  • Dies: Sizzix Scallop Tag combo (largest used)
  • Sentiment: PC generated
  • Everything else: My stash

Simple Doodles Challenge 33 - Tag It

Welcome to another Simple Doodles challenge! This fortnight is extra special as we have a sponsor - Robyn's Fetish has provided the Simple Doodles design team with some lovely images to help provide you with some inspiration for the challenge:

Tag It!

I've used Lucy Angel on my tag and have coloured her with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue on her heart. She is then layered onto a Sizzix Super Scallop sized tag that has been embossed using the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls folder and inked.

The brown and pink (it is honest - the photo has a blue cast!) is from a 12x12 sheet from my stash and it does not have a maker name on it. The pink tag is from Funky Daze from Funky Hand and I've dotted liquid pearls around the edge. The edge of the card has been faux stitched.

The ribbons are from my stash. Good luck - the deadline for the challenge is 30 December via the Simple Doodles challenge blog!

Girly Tag

The current Forever Friends challenge is to make

Anything but a card and use a charm

So I've made a tag with a Forever Friends Elements ready made decoupaged bear, added one of the sentiments and the crown from the same pack.

The tag is a Sizzix die cut - super sized scallop tag which I've cut from linen effect white card and then glittered the edges with lilac glitter glue. I've tied an ivory organza bow to the top of the tag and then added a pink and white dots thinner organza ribbon bow and also tied the charm on this way.

Finally, added one of the gems from the Elements pack on top of the large bow. Such a sweet tag and I think I'll probably add it to a card!

  • Dies: Sizzix super sized scallop tag
  • Ribbon: Ivory organza from my stash, white and pink from Fantastic Ribbons
  • Everything else: My stash

Pink, Brown, Cream & Toffee

For the Charisma Cardz challenge this week which is a colour combination of:

Pink, Brown, Cream and Coffee

I've used a tag that I made ages ago and turned it into a card. All the papers - the backing one has been printed onto vellum are from Huge Funky Love download from Funky Hand. The little image stamp I think is Hero Art and I've chalked the edges.

Everything else is from my stash.

Not sure if the card needs a sentiment or not, so have left it without for the time being! I did actually read the challenge as coffee instead of toffee, so if it had been coffee, then this card is perfect!

  • Stamp: Hero Arts (I think)

Razzle Dazzle

It has been a while. A long while, really, since I took part in a Dottie's World Challenge (so sorry!) and well, I'll be honest as I've cheated a little this week.

The current challenge is:

Razzle Dazzle
And you would have thought with cheating I'd have got my act together sooner and entered the card! Anyway. I'd made the quite large tag with Holly in her fancy underwear some time ago for the Tag You're It Challenge and its been sat in my 'need to do something with it' box since. I noticed it last night and decided to add it to a silver card blank and enter it in the Dotties World challenge.

The red card is from my stash (its a lovely slightly textured card) as too the silver pearlescent card on which the image (pre coloured) has been layered. A little bit of glitter glue has been added to Holly's feathers with corners rounded and lightly inked. I've added two of my fimo hearts with ribbon tied through and two flowers with ribbon tied over the brad.
And this is one of those cards that I'm not going to want to send!

  • Image: Holly and Maddison from Charmed Cards and Crafts
  • Fimo hearts: Made by me

Heart Tag

A new challenge blog! It's called Something Completely Different and a monthly theme is set and then a weekly challenge.

This time it is:

Tags and Hearts

I miss the Tag You're It Challenge so this one is perfect for me! The heart is made from my own template and I've covered it with an off cut of backing paper printed from Funky Daze. Edges have been inked with chestnut whispers ink with the flowers from my stash (I think they are Prima but they were freebies a while ago!) as is the ribbon and brad.

The pin is a dressmaking one which I've just added some seed beads too - silver and blue which picks out the colour on the backing paper. I was going to add a sentiment but didn't as I think it will be used on a Wedding card and at least this way, I can personalise the card when I know where its going to.

Sorry about the darkness of the photos - I had to find a shady spot as the bright sunshine was overpowering on the photos!
